Not bad at all for the price, and that was hard to beat! Got a double room with 2 queen beds on Monday night for under $60 total! Room was outdated and one of the beds looked like it may have been slept in or I would have given it another star. Definitely still recommend it for a traveller on a budget or a gambler having a hard night.Nearby activities: Plenty of casinos located nearbyWalkability: Walking distance to the Deadwood Main Street Casinos

My husband and I just stayed here for 5 days and loved it. We used to stay at Deadwood Station (formerly owned by same owner) but it had been sold so we stayed here as we always ended up here for breakfast anyway.We loved being able to just walk a few blocks to the downtown entertainment area and even saw deer directly across the street every evening...in downtown Deadwood.Hotel is older but clean and everything is well maintained. Front desk staff was very friendly and the café on site really IS the best breakfast in town. My only complaint was that the Wi-Fi didn't really work well in our room which made things hard as I had some grad school work I needed to complete during the week but the front desk lady was super apologetic about it and over all I considered that a minor inconvenience.Folks are complaining about the parking lot being cramped but hello folks parking EVERYWHERE in Deadwood is cramped...it's a town crammed into a small space! The lot here is no more cramped than any other place in town.The prices here can't be beat and we will DEFINITELY stay here again on our next South Dakota trip.

Worth the off-season rates during the week. But hiked up on the weekends & tourist season - and not really worth it. Do have a good cafe & food though!Rooms: Clean & Tidy. If You Book during the winter, make sure you tell them to start your room warming up, or you might be surprised when you get there how cold it is.

We didn't get to stay an entire night, but the beds are super comfy and rooms are cozy. The staff are very kind and it's within a short walking distance to deadwood popular sights and locations.Modern televisions included with lots of good channels. The only downside I can see is the a/c units having some visibility to the outside/inside at their level. Maybe set them lower/higher or at ground level?Nearby activities: Deadwood attractions.Walkability: Less than a five minute walk to main street.Food & drinks: Has a restaurant!

We checked in & got a room due to the low priced rate however will never come here again. After making an online reservation & checked in: 1) the parking lot is only accessible to small compact vehicles -very tight spaces 2) the guest room door was so "banged up" it would NOT lock from the inside?? There was one broken lock from the inside -didn't feel safe/secure there. 3)The floor was "sticky," walking over it. 4) the air conditioner had duct tape to hold it together & the separate wall heater had some nice plaster patch work done on it. 5) The kicker though was pulling back the bed sheets to have a live WASP on the pillow case (photo attached). The front desk lady gave us a refund & we left.Noteworthy details: Did not feel safe/secure due to guest room door unable to lock from the inside. Uncleanliness due to sticky floor. Insects on bed sheet/pillow case (wasp).

Great location in Deadwood for our needs that weekend. I feel we paid more then usual due to the town celebration. Parking lot is very small. Does not accommodate larger vehicles. Sad no maid service but I get it. Room was fairly clean. Disappointed we didn't have a fridge or a microwave. Was really hoping for atleast a fridge. Bed was comfortable and clean. Bathroom tub did not drain when we showered. Was up to our ankles when finished. Was very gross. I left a note stating they needed a plumber. I would stay here again if we couldn't Find hotel with a fridge in a convenient location.The location of this place is why I gave it more then 2 stars.

Stopped here in the cafe for breakfast. Waited a bit for a table, but nothing too terrible. There are only 2 cooks in the kitchen so we had to wait a bit for our food, but it looked like everything was being cooked fresh to order. Food was good, hash browns we’re a bit too greasy for my husbands preference, but I liked them enough. Good service.

I arrived at about 8:35 PM on Tuesday, May 2nd, 2023. I asked if they had any of the $29 rooms available that I had spoke to on the phone about earlier. She said "yes". I said "great". I was interested. I politely asked if I could see the room, as I do in every hotel I stay at. I have had issues with bed bugs, mold, etc. before, so I make a habit of seeing a room before I lock myself into something.She seemed very irritated and bothered by this. After complaining, she eventually gave me a key to see the room. I went upstairs and saw it, which took less than a minute. It looked clean and comfortable. "Perfect", I thought. I returned and told her it was good and I would take it. But rather than be happy, she seemed very hostile to me. I asked if she was ok. She said "I'm kind of aggrevated!". Puzzled, I asked if she was aggrevated at me? She responded, "I kind of am aggrevated at you!". Wow. Sensing her anger that I had requested to see the room, I asked her if it was it too much for me to see a room before I bought it. She quipped, "Was it good enough for you, for $29 dollars a night?! This isn't some $100 a night hotel!".Wow. Then she asked for my ID and payment. I calmly told her I would go somewhere else. She said to me angrily, "GOOD!".So yes, this business is a nice location, with nice rooms, and a nice price. The only thing not nice was the complete and utter rudeness of the person at the front desk. Older woman, thin, black hair, glasses.

The room was very clean and our beds were very comfortable. Food in the restaurant is good but the Coffee is absolutely terrible in the room and in the restaurant so bring your own coffee pot and coffee. Coffee pot in the room is a single serve and the water that comes out is literally tinted water. No coffee there. There is no refrigerator in the room or at least in ours and if you want a hair dryer they have them but you have to ask for them at the front desk. Most of the staff is very friendly and accommodating. Two to three blocks from all the activity on main Street so that part was great.

Can't say anything about the hotel as we have never been, but we ate at the diner. It was amazing! Great food, great service, and a great atmosphere😁. Personally I loved the pancakes definetely some of the largest in the area, and not expensive prices. We came in last Sunday, Monday and Tuesday because it was just sooo good. The waitresses were a delight, funny, quick, and made sure I always had coffee in my cup. That young boy was also very helpful and speedy! 10/10

Stayed here for our guy trip! Room was excellent. Clean and plenty of hot water. Breakfast is hands down the best value in Deadwood. Great food and great prices! Staff is excellent and made sure we had everything we needed. Location is perfect for hanging out downtown and walking back. Carmen is the best waitress we have seen in a long time!! Will most definitely stay there again and point others in your direction!! Thanks!!!!

Very clean! The room was kind of small, but it was very clean! That was very much appreciated! Bradley was very helpful! Make sure you try out the diner the breakfast is delicious, I highly recommend the Spanish omelette! The young lady waiting tables never let my coffee cup get empty! She was a great server! We would definitely recommend both the hotel and diner!

Parking is a nightmare unless you drive a compact car. The rooms are very dated and have no refrigerator or microwave. King sized bed has no side table for both sides. Super annoying when you don't have a table to put your drink/phone/other stuff on. The Cafe serves weak coffee, rubbery pancakes, and really good bacon! 👍 The Cafe prices aren't bad at least. The rooms are overpriced for what they are.

We really liked our stay. 2 blocks from down town, close enough to walk.There isn't an elevator. The room was furnished nicely and was clean.The best breakfast in Deadwood!It's a vintage property. Taken well care of.Do not expect the ritz. But it's comfortable with nice people

The rooms were awesome, however now I need to repair my vehicle as one of the housekeepers hit my car and tried to walk away without saying anything. Someone outside my window I heard did you just hit that car? And I went to go check and it was mine the housekeeper didn’t seem too worried since she was “getting a new car soon”. Food is great area is amazing and would recommend.

You don’t have to go to a casino to get robbed!!! If zero stars was an option, I would give them that. I have nothing bad to say about the staff, very hardworking and friendly. But you better hope they know what they’re doing. Long story short there was a mistake while checking in, I was charged for 2 rooms instead of the 1 I needed and when brought to the attention of the general manager they decided to sit on the problem for weeks on end, only to refund a portion of the mistake they made.

I got a room here after finding many places booked for the holiday weekend (I am passing through by chance). In comparison to the area the price was great. Location is close to downtown. Rooms are small but clean and comfortable with great air conditioning. No complaints here! Great place to stay while enjoying nearby attractions or passing through. Person working the desk was also incredibly pleasant and helpful.

The room was nice and so was the afternoon shift service. They had no extra toilet paper in the bathroom and the roll was already 1/4 used when we checked in. It left an unfortunate situation when we had to resort to tissue paper in a clutch.They claim to have the best breakfast in Deadwood which is easy to say since there are literally no other breakfast spots around.The food was mediocre. Not a place to go if you want anything to do with vegetables. The lettuce in the salad had brown at the edges and the veggies in the veggie omelet were not fresh or tasty. Also the steak didn't have any flavor.But our waitress was nice when we asked if we could replace the uneaten unfresh lettuce for two eggs. She gave us three eggs instead. That added 2 more stars to my review.

The absolute best place to stay in Deadwood.The staff is excellent.We had a medical emergency during our visit and had to stay longer than planned.Management took care of everything and kept us in our room past our reserved time so that we didn't have to worry about moving.They really took care of us.
