The hotel is beautiful! Located right in the middle of downtown Deadwood and directly across the street from the Original Saloon #10! The check in process was easy. We came during Wild Bill Days so parking was a little hard but the owner of the hotel was incredibly accommodating & very kind. The room is beautiful. We have had such an amazing experience. I loved the boutique in the hotel and all of the memorabilia in the hotel is original! I would highly recommend this place.Rooms: Very large, comfortable and classyNearby activities: Walking distance to restaurants and shopsSafety: The owner, clerk and authorities were always presentWalkability: This is in the heart of downtown so everything is convenient for walking

Can't rate the rooms as we didn't stay here. I wanted to review it because the lobby area is fantastic. I really enjoyed seeing all the movie memorabilia that they've accumulated. And the decor was so elegant. Loved the huge chandeliers throughout the public areas. There's a small service bar in the center so you can enjoy a drink as you wander around.

The concept of this hotel is great, and the costumes that has been bought and that is on view is terrific but the rest of it the place is a 1- star place at best! The building is old, which is not a problem, but the rooms need an update badly! Our room was smelly, the seating area furniture so broken down that we had to put pillows on them to keep from sinking to the floor, the bedroom so cramped with a king-size bed that my hubby had to turn sideways to climb in and hit the wall with his knees every time he got up, the bathroom is even smaller, and the light switches either don't work or wired weird!I will say that the front desk staff was helpful and polite, and there is private parking. But hubby and I sure wish we had stayed somewhere else!

Interesting hotel with comfortable rooms. When we first got into Deadwood and checked in I was a bit worried about our room facing the main street and how noisy it might be. I was surprised with how quiet it was. The location is great and our room (219) was clean and well appointed with a fantastic bathroom. The lobby, as with most Deadwood establishments, is full of slots, but the Celebrity also contains a trove of movie and pop culture memorabilia. I can’t say I would visit Deadwood again as it was a bit like Gatlinburg in its over commercialization, but if I did, I would certainly stay here again.

This is a wonderful gem right in the action of downtown Deadwood! The rooms are themed after celebrities, the private balcony area gave a spectacular view of the shoot out and was wonderful for the evening nightcap! Ken and his staff made sure we had everything we needed and always greeted us with a smile when passing through. Close walking proximity of practically everything in Deadwood.Walkability: Close walking to dining, gaming, shopping!

We stayed at the Celebrity for three nights this summer. It's our first time back since they reopened in 2020 and it was a huge disappointment.Housekeeping isn’t provided if you're staying for longer than one night but we didn’t find this out until we checked in. Dirty towels and garbage had to be placed in a plastic bag (if you can find one) and left in the hallway. If we needed clean towels/coffee etc, we had to fill out a form and drop it off at the front desk prior to 11 am.The king room we were in is poorly appointed and didn’t smell that great. It was very cramped due to a huge armoire that took up one entire wall. In the bathroom, the faucet didn’t clear the edge of the sink adequately so everytime we turned on the faucet, water was all over the counter. The counter itself is tiny and there wasn't enough room for our stuff (which was minimal), the coffee maker and the hair dryer. Although the surfaces were initially clean in the bathroom, when I turned on the fan, dust particles big enough for me to see, fell through the grated ceiling and covered everything - it was so disgusting.Room keys are real keys and we sometimes couldn't open our door because the lock mechanisms are loose inside the doorknob. The tv remote control didn’t work and when we asked for new batteries, they didn’t have any. Instead the woman took the batteries out, spit on her fingers and rubbed the spit on the end of the batteries – she said the “trick” usually worked. Wow! Wow! Wow! Ceiling tiles by the elevator on the 2nd floor are missing and the hallways smell like stale smoke which is typical of hotels that became non-smoking but never bothered to change the carpets, wall paper or furnishings which all retain the smell of smoke. The hotel location and the outdoor patio overlooking the main street are the only nice features of this hotel. For those of you who may be wondering about the King suite with the “private patio”…well, it’s absolutely NOT private. This room has garden doors that open onto the PUBLIC patio and their “private patio” is separated from the public patio with a railing. What a joke! It’s certainly not worth the extra money they want for this room.Obviously the new owners aren’t doing anything to maintain or improve the property and they should stop misleading people by claiming the hotel is luxurious. It’s kinda dirty and frankly, has seen better days. Service is less than acceptable and if I wanted to empty the garbage, make the bed and fill out forms, I would have stayed at home and gone to work. We won’t be back.Rooms: Dated, cramped and smell bad.Safety: Feel safe in Deadwood, even when walking back to my hotel at 3 am.

Definitely not what it used to be. Stayed here in the past and returned because of our previous experience. Price has tripled, service has dropped by 90%. Apparently they don't make up the rooms anymore if your staying at least 4-5 days. No service whatsoever unleash you drop off a form that I cannot find the day before! No coffee replacement (or cleaning of the machine as I found the old coffee pack and left over coffee in the carafe this morning). The worst thing is they don't disclose this on the web site when booking!I guess I should have checked out then booked again, as the price is the same per night.Absolutely ridiculous! Will not be back!

I just can’t say enough good things about this hotel and it’s staff. Friendly, accommodating, and very pleasant. The casino in the hotel is quaint, and quiet! It has a real “locals” feel to it. Everyone we interacted with were just above and beyond. Room was huge! Clean, comfortable. I would absolutely recommend this location and will for sure stay here again if I come back to Deadwood!! Thanks for the amazing stay!

Perfect location! We wanted to stay in something different than your typical hotel, nailed it! Hotel had great parking, location was right in the middle of everything, historic, beautiful, perfection. Will definitely recommend to everyone. Lobby was classy, room was comfortable, bathroom did not disappoint. Staff was friendly. They even left a birthday greeting in our room for my daughter's birthday 🎂

I loved my stay here. The staff was great, especially Steve. Helpful, kind, and professional. My room, the Monroe room, felt like home. Comfy and quiet. The street noise was canceled out. I originally was staying for three days, but I liked it there so much I stayed on for four! The rooftop was a great place to unwind and relax after a busy day. It was also a great place to watch the 6 PM gunfight! If you pass on getting your room cleaned (as of 8-21), you get a voucher for two free beers. Yes please! The celebrity items on display were a nice touch and fun to look at. I also won money on their machines! The location and attached parking lot were a highlight as well. All and all, a perfect experience!

This was a nice hotel. Dead wood was an incredible town to visit. The hotel was clean. The lobby had a small casino in the lobby. They also had a pretty large selection of women clothing. The management was nice and friendly. Lots of places to visit and shop in town. Great music at the Saloon No.10. A couple of blocks over.

My friend and I had a girl's Mardi gras weekend and decided to stop in The Celebrity for a few drinks. Our bartender was attentive and engaging. Eventually there were 6 of us chatting at the bar laughing and having a good time. Without any warning the OWNER violently pounded on the bar with his fist inches from my face and yelled at us that our language was inappropriate for his BAR/CASINO. There was no warning and all 6 of us were quite disturbed by the unprovoked outburst. We immediately stood up and left the bar. We we were all pretty shaken up over this aggressive behavior. I know that I will never step foot in this bar/casino again. It was a scary experience and I hope that the owner acts more professional in the future.

The staff is incredible! They make you feel like you are the only guest at the hotel and you have their full attention when you are talking with them. The facility is very clean and has a unique charm. My bed was extremely comfortable, the pillows plush and the heated towel rack was very much appreciated! There is everything you need, and nice additional touches too.

We loved the hotel! We stayed in the Humphrey Bogart room. The bed was comfy, and the room felt clean. We loved the old feel with updates. The ice machine was broken on the second floor. There was parking next to the hotel and if that lot was full they will pay for you to park in the garage across the street.WARNING: do not park in another lot while checking in. They told us that the other lots are monitored and you will be towed QUICK!We did wish their casino had more updated games.Deadwood suggestion: If you plan to stay out or need food after 7PM go to the golden nugget bar at the end of the street. Great pizza and service!

It was a real pleasure to stay at the Celebrity Hotel, it had some of the old west charm, mixed with a casino and some great Memorabilia from the movies. My wife is a big Elvis fan and somehow, (not planned), we ended up in the Elvis room. It has a second-floor access to an outdoor patio with great views of the main drag. We were lucky enough to pull into the adjoining parking lot behind the Lucky horse souvenir shop and stayed parked there the two days we were there because there is so much to see and do within walking distance. It even had a heated towel rack in the bathroom.

Adorable boutique hotel in city center. First impression are the amazing chandeliers dotted along the ceilings and the movie and music memorabilia throughout the lobby. The staff at this hotel might be the nicest, genuinely caring people I’ve encountered. Denise was such a pleasure and I would personally stay at the hotel again just to be greeted by her! The rooms are impeccably clean and thoughtful touches grace the room. From the matching drapes and lines to the charming fireplace made it feel so authentic yet gave us the sprinkle of luxury one would want to feel while on vacation.

Really unique and cool hotel! I'm glad we chose to come here...Also very clean! My room was the Gone with the Wind theme! The movie star costumes and props were really used on the sets of famous movies! Staff was down to earth and friendly. If you're staying in Deadwood I would recommend this beautiful hotel!

The staff were so friendly and nice, the room was spacious and had extra little touches everywhere to make the stay most excellent. A towel warmer, nice bathrobes, a sewing kit, a bistro table, refrigerator, and a wet bar. Lots of space for luggage and a comfy bed. The patio area was nice to visit too, getting away from the hustle and bustling street below.
