Date of visit: July 22, 2023Easily visible when you get off the interstate. Gas pumps out front. Nice, clean, well kept, little convenience store. We pumped gas then went in to use the restroom which was very clean and quaint. Afterwords we had to get some of the Ashby's Sterling Ice Cream (which we HIGHLY recommend!!) There are some patio chairs in front of Jake's, however we found a picnic table on the west side in some shade. This is a perfect stop to fuel up, stretch the legs and get a snack.If you deem this review helpful, I would love a 👍

This place was magic. I lost my phone/wallet at a rest stop down the road. The man behind the register was so positive. I also bought a freshly baked muffin and cinnamon roll. The muffin was magic. Absolute magic. I was able to compose myself and figure out the next steps. This is a must stop if you're on I-90. Thank you again to Jake's Corner!!!Btw, i got my phone and wallet back. 😉

Very nice convenience store! Has the expected variety of packaged snacks and sodas, but is also carrying a wide array of other necessities likr, basic over-the-counter medicines, antifreeze and car supplies, and picnic essentials like charcoal briquettes and lighter fluid. They're also prepared for hunting season, with a stock of common ammo types for pheasant hunting.They also have a small kitchen on site and serve up fresh Paragon pizzas from Thursday through Saturday and fresh muffins throughout the week. There was also a case with some neat flavors of ice cream by the counter.There's also a small casino in the back corner with a few machines, next to the ATM.The store and the bathroom was clean and the staff are friendly and professional. Check out the neat old newspaper articles in the seating area! Cool look into the town history.

Beautifully clean restroom. Friendliest people (owners, I believe). Cutest little convenience shop/gas station and VERY reasonable prices (especially to support locally owned business). STRONGLY recommend.

After traveling all the way from WA, stopped at Circle K campground to sleep and keep going to our destination. It was so close and we wanted to get something to eat, once we arrived there, the owners offered to fire up some pizzas for me and the family, they were really friendly and courteous. We almost bought the whole store while talking to them. The pizza was amazing and so was the ice cream. I came back the next morning to get some gas and thank them for helping us finding something to eat. I highly recommend this place. Great people, great place!

We stopped here on our way back home to Illinois. We needed bathroom and snacks. Good prices! Thought it was cool cause our one son's name is Jake. Staff was friendly. They have a cute and cozy looking motel next door. My husband loved this place so much, only being here like 15 minutes, it has inspired him to want to own something similar one day lol. He just loved the look and feel!

If you are anywhere within a 50 mile radius you have to stop in and buy some of Jake’s wine! It’s spicy and delicious and worth the drive 😊

Stopped there tonight on a motorcycle to grab some food and wait out a storm. They were closing when I pulled up, but reopened and let me buy some items. Also let me park my bike inside during the large storm! So thankful for wonderful experience!!!!

I just relocated to South Dakota from San Francisco. I must say that I have never been to such a warm welcoming business. The service and cleanliness are top notch. The pizza is awesome. I love the professionalism and wonderful assortment of goodies. My favorite place in White Lake!

First timer here and very happy with the service. Cheerful, helpful staff. And the simple sight of their pizza had me ordering immediately😁 I could have gone elsewhere and been served promptly but the welcoming environment and again simple sight of their pizza had me ordering hours before it was even available.This pizza is literally worth waiting for. If I find myself in this town/state again; I will be back for more .

The cashier at the counter of the convenience store was incredibly rude, confrontational, and discriminatory. We were passing through town and stopped for a snack. I am disabled and use a service dog for assistance. He came up to us and said pets are not allowed to be here. I explained that he is not a pet, he is a service dog. He rudely said “still, we don’t allow them.” I said “well he is a service dog so you legally have to allow him.”His response was to insist that he doesn’t have to legally do anything he doesn’t want to. He said something about serving food here, even though it’s all packaged junk food.The whole interaction was rude, nasty and illegal. The irony was that all the food in the store was covered in dirt and dust. Completely gross spot and rude nasty people.

Unbelievably clean, spacious and comfortable room! I'm a Travel Nurse, and to me cleanliness is an absolute must; the remarkably gracious hosts more than lived up to my strict expectations. I already have reservations to stay at this Jewel of a place again!Sadly "Mom & Pop" Motels seem to be a thing of the past, don't miss the opportunity to experience Motel's the way they should be. I could go on and on about what a hidden treasure this Motel is, but why not see for your self; you will NOT be disappointed!!!!To top it all of, the room rates are unbelievably reasonable!!!!!!

All around GREAT place! Great cleanly staff only wanting what's best for their facility and the people/customers that visit! From drive up services while on crutches :) to the best of beer and pizzas! Keep up the friendly atmosphere and clean place for YOU are one of White Lake's finest!

Stayed when the blowing snow was too much to carry on. WiFi didn't work and had to reset the TV 3 times to get the box to work. Room was freezing cold even when I set the thermostat to 80 degrees. I agree with the other reviewer, this place could use a bit of a renovation. Not expecting too much, but maybe new sheets and towels would be an improvement.
