Beautiful place to camp! Right on the water and many spots are shaded. Unfortunately we went late June and there was a really bad blue/green algae outbreak. So swimming and fishing were out. Would like to try sometime when there is not an algae bloom.

We stumbled upon this site in a frenzy to reserve something for the 4th of July weekend, as it was the only open tent spot around. It was SO PERFECT! Very spacious, right by the water, quiet, and right in the corner, not too close to our neighbors. VERY happy that we got this spot, and we'll definitely be coming back. Quiet hours at the campground are from 11PM - 6AM and they were followed very well, even on a holiday weekend. The campground also had a great amount of activities for families on the holiday weekend.

GREAT park. A little loud if to close to entrance. Highway is along that sude. Park along the lake sude. Beautiful other than that.Restrooms: Immaculate!!!Dog-friendliness: Everyone walking their dogs. Lots of trails around the lake.

Love it here, buuut....this years workers/campground hosts are too noisy..traveling up and down the road all day with golf carts and 4x4's. Missing the peaceful.place it was last year.

Nice early and late. Don't get a site on south side of park near gravel road. Busy with cars and ATVs. Lots of dust. Lots of noise. Not real enjoyable in these sites. Two year old tree stumps are a bit ridiculous on camp sites. Manager needs to get them ground out!

Great camping location! Facilities are very nice and clean. Great to be able to camp right on the water for fishing and floating activities. Water is a little green this time of year, but even with all the rain, the bugs weren't that bad. Lots of mature trees, and a nice playground area for kids.

Very nice campground on a beautiful lake. The campground bathroom/shower houses are the cleanest I have ever seen! We enjoyed biking and walking around the park and kayaking and paddle boarding on the lake. We will definitely be back!

Its been forever since Ive been here. So much has changed and its for the better! Last time I was here was when there was almost no trees and no campsites near the water. Im impressed

We have camped here a few times, its a very quiet state park with nice lake access for some sites. Although we went during Covid crisis and did not see one park employee the stay was still nice. They are very strict about the firewood situation and really check to make sure no out of quarantine wood comes in and used.

Absolutely the cleanest, nicest quaint state campground around the Midwest.Sites are good size n level, well taken care of and the hosts are fantastic people always accommodating and available. Great Places, Great Faces - *South Dakota*- hospitality's !

It's one of the smaller state parks. It has a bathroom and showers. Electrical outlets,or if you use a tent there's spots to put one up. A nice boat ramp and fish cleaning station. It also has a nice swimming area. Also has a few cabins for rent. Close by is Madison small town that has stores to shop or restaurants. But you might want to reserve a spot early.

Recently that we have been there we stayed in the cabins. They haven’t been really taking care of the area, less care for grass and trees as well as too much garbage around. Bathrooms aren’t clean either, last year the bathrooms where always clean. Don’t know if I’d go back again this year.

Walkers point is a great park with excellent restrooms. I just wish it was possible to get in here on a weekend. I guess it is not the parks fault for that. The walking trails to get to the fishing spots for the lake need a weedeater.

My family and extended family has been camping here for more then a decade... great for big groups, kids and well kept place. If you have not camped here do it in a camper or the cabins.

Convenient boat ramp and fish cleaning station. Can be even better when the wind is out of the west. Just watch the rods pointing up in a holder due to trees over the ramp.

The boat ramps are well kept. The only comment I would make is too many cars parking in boat trailer spaces.
