We picked out a rib-eye steak and had them cook it to order. It was absolutely delicious. We've been to the nearby steak House downtown ( I won't mention the name but it rhymes with Maverick) . Anyway this place has way better food. The stakes are much more delicious and I would highly recommend it. While you're there pick up some of their amazing specialty items, pickled polish sausage, the list goes on and on!

We went and sat upstairs as downstairs was full. A large party pushed all the tables together downstairs and with the flies we didnt want to sit outside. Took a little bit to get our drinks and place order. The sirloin steak and the Philly steak was good. The blt was just ok and I wasn't too crazy about the pizza. It seemed bland and the crust was weird. I wasn't crazy about the fries either. They were different. The service was good. Even upstairs, the server came up and checked on us and was really nice. The salad bar had enough options to build a good salad even though it is small and there was one type of soup to choose from. The prices are about as consistent as everywhere else. The menu has a lot of options on it, but only 3 options for the kids menu. We might try it again.

Working in the area for a few months and been to Dakota Butcher a couple of times, food has been good and so has the service, can’t really complain. I’ve had the pulled pork nachos and they were actually good but if they were to make them with homemade tortilla chips they would amazingly delicious (just a thought).

Food was decent but service was really poor. To be specific the wait time was horrible. Staff was friendly but obviously overwhelmed. I saw our waitress wait tables, pour beer, help folks in the grocery store and bus tables. Our orders were all wrong when we got it and 2 of them didn't even come with the sides they were supposed to. We never were asked about refills on beer/drinks. The people we invited out with us told us it was like this last time they came too. My steak was made perfectly, so it's really too bad that service wasn't better. We probably won't be back.

Had there food catered and with butcher in there name I would think they would know how to prepare meat. I was wrong no seasoning, tough and even when they drowned in aujou it was dry.

Need to call out Jenny and Stacy!!! They went so far above and beyond in serving my 90 year old father and siblings who are from out of town. Our father was here for an appointment. He has some mobility issues. Instead of doing our lunch to go (as restaurant does not open until 4 pm), they offered to let us sit at a wheelchair accessible table so we would not have to find a place to go to eat our food. They went out of their way to accommodate all 5 of us and were nothing but courteous and thoughtful. What a wonderful experience for our family lunch before dad's appointment. Thank you does not seem nearly enough!!!

We had a fantastic meal here last night. Impressed would be an understatement. Smoked chicken, ribeye and ribs were all very good. Old school soup and salad bar was also a nice treat. Service was also VERY GOOD. We went up to get some meat from the butcher shop connected to it and we were very glad we choose to eat as well.

Great dog-friendly patio, great food & great beer. They even gave our dog a pig’s ear to chew on while we ate. I had the brisket pizza & it was wonderful. My husband had the chef salad which he really liked too.

This place, the management and owner, is SHADY. If you are not a frequent customer you will be treated as a third class citizen. They apparently don't need new customers because they treat any question, service, and general interaction as though they are repulsed by your existence. They also run some shady behind the bar game where they take your money and if you win they will tell you you can't win because the staff didn't know the rules and they don't have to pay you. I guess if you are a regular you'd be allowed to win the $850 but since we are not we were swindled and asked to leave when we questioned it. Skip this place!

This is a must try! Spend the time looking at the options available on the market side. They offer great options for everyone and fair price. The restaurant side is amazing! It didn’t feel like you were sitting in a bar. The food was large portion and tasted amazing. I recommend the Mac and cheese! Wait staff was very friendly and provided service without smothering you. Rumor has it one may open West River...fingers crossed this happens!

We were so excited to go eat here for our anniversary but once we sat down things did not turn out the way we planned. We ordered drinks and looked at the menu. The waitress came back for our order, ordered the appetiser first. She came back for our meal order and said it would be a few minutes on the appetiser the kitchen was a little backed up. My husband ordered the Ribeye, they ran out of this, the only other steak selection was the different sized sirloin which neither of us wanted. She gave us a few more minutes to look over the menu and we decided to get our appetiser to go. She came back about 10 minutes later and said that the appetiser would take at least 30 more minutes because of the backup in the kitchen. At this point we decided to cancel the order and pay for our drinks (I had water hubby had a cocktail). She went to get our tab for payment. I felt she should have given us the drink for our troubles. Anyway, we paid and left….I was starving by this point. 40 minutes in our lives we’ll never get back. Scratch this one off of our list. They weren’t even that busy, there were several open tables. The steak selection on the menu was not impressive at all.

Sat down, was not busy. Two working the front, 6 groups in total there. Took 20 minutes to even take our drink order. Waited around 40 minutes. Never took our food order. Had to go up to the bar witch took around 10 minutes to settle for the beer. And we left

We were able to be served on the upper level which was more spacious and a little quieter. Food was great and service attentive and very good. Price point excellent.

On their website they advertise "Steakhouse Lunch Menu" available from 11 pm to 5 pm. Whatever that means, 11 o'clock at night until 5 in the afternoon the next day? But I show up at 3:30 pm (that's afternoon) and am not so politely told by two employees holding up the bar that it does not open until 4. I am guessing afternoon. That would conceivably leave one hour for lunch. Therefore, I don't believe much of anything when it comes to their advertising.

Great products and service! The smoked cheese and teriyaki beef sticks are a wonderful snack! Love their cheesy potatoes and prepared meals... especially the Swedish meatballs.

Ate the rack of ribs and it was perfect! So tasty. Tender, meat practically fell off the bone. Seasoned perfect, not to salty. Nice smoke ring.

Fresh, high quality meats and cheeses as well as many other goodies. They do stock seafood and odd meats like alligator. Locally owned by good people. Put your money where it matters!

Absolutely the worst steak I've ever had. No seasoning at all over cooked and charred to the point of all I taste is burnt.
