First off this is a dog friendly hotel, Not Cat friendly. They are pretty aggressive about that. The dog friendly room we were put in had rabbit fur pillows. (We moved them away from the bed as our dog loves to chew fur and leather so be warned if your dog has that issue) The rooms look pretty and the beds are comfortable but there are issues. The shower was basically a drip and the bath mat was all stained. I went to address this with the staff around 11pm (I know, kinda late) but the office was locked. I would give the visit a C minus

This hotel by far exceeded my expectations. The rooms have been recently updated, very clean nicely done rooms. Great water pressure. The general manager was absolutely awesome, she was so helpful and very kind. We had 3 small children with us and she did not give us a hard time about it, she helped me find a way to blow up our extra air mattress and went above and beyond to find us a pack n play to use for the night. A great price for a room! Very spacious and plenty of room for 5 of us! There was even a small playground and pool for kids, which I have not seen anywhere else, both were very clean. One of the more kid friendly places we have stayed. 10/10 will stay here again should I come to this area again.Rooms: They’re beautiful and very clean! The beds and pillows were probably some of the most comfortable I’ve slept in, in a motel/hotel!Safety: There weren’t any unsavory/dangerous looking loiterers hanging around like you may normally see around cheaper motels/hotels.Walkability: Two gas stations and a few places to eat within walking distance.

Our room was the cleanest we've seen in we don't know how long. The big screen TV worked great. I really liked the Edison light bulb in the lamp. The bed was so comfortable. If we ever stop in Wall again we're staying at the Travelodge! And everyone was very friendly as well.Instead of having breakfast they give you a coupon to a restaurant.

Don't judge a book by its cover! This place may look a little rundown on the outside, but on the inside, I was very impressed! It was clean and tidy and exactly what we needed for 1 night. The beds are SUPER comfy, I slept great! The pool was clean and fun, the tiny playground for little ones was adorable and clean. There were free cookies and popcorn and candies in the office! Would definitely stay here again if I needed to. The only criticism I have was that the shower didn't have great water pressure, and it was only 1 temperature...too hot! This is the only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars.

It’s a diamond in the ruff! They are going through a major renovation and the inside of the rooms are perfectly renovated with a boho/western feel. The beds are by far the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on! We had to lift the sheets to see what kind they were! Great location, just off interstate, complete with playground and the perfect size pool for the whole family. Very friendly and helpful staff, especially the cute pool boy. I believe his name was Alex. I would recommend this place to anyone!!!!

Date of visit: July 20, 2023We booked our room through Priceline as we were traveling for the day.Easily accessible off interstate. We arrived about 6 pm, parking was getting full as people were checking in.Laura and her little dog greeted us at the check in counter; she was awesome, very personable, attentive, friendly, and customer service oriented. I told her we were a group of 3 and other hotels did not have enough bath towels. She assured me there were enough, and we did find 4 luxurious thick bath towels!! (Where do you get them?!?). The room and bathroom was clean, air conditioning had cooled it nicely. Ice machine was easily accessible. Shower felt great after long day of travel. Bedding was wonderful with plenty of pillows. Bed was super comfortable.Free wifi. The only thing I would recommend is bedside lighting for those of us who want to read in bed. The room only had a bright overhead light. No Continental breakfast here; rather vouchers to redeem for free pancakes or French Toast at the Badlands Saloon and Grill in downtown Wall. (The pancakes were amazing and their free wifi is lightening fast!)Out of all my hotel stays, this was my favorite place. This is the place to stay at if you are in Wall, SD for the night. If you deem this review helpful please give it a 👍.

This hotel was wonderful, as soon as we walked into the room, it was perfect! The room was so clean!!! The floors (no carpet), the linens (bedding & towels) were top notch and the tv was so large! The bed was so comfortable we did not want to leave. It was by far the best hotel in that area for under $200 range. It was so close to the Badlands, and it was the perfect stop for a good night's sleep! The free breakfast was awesome! Checking in was fun! Laura was so friendly! We will definitely stay again when we are in that area!!!Highly recommend!Rooms: So clean!!!Nearby activities: So close to the Badlands

This hotel was right in the heart of Wall SD and very close to the National Grasslands and the Badlands National Park. It was a great place to land after a long road trip and a great place to relax after a long day in the National park. Prices were great and it would have been a great place to stay when visiting Mt. Rushmore, the Black Hills, Custer State Park and Crazy Horse monument. I wish i had known that in advance, i would have stayed a third night here.Food & drinks: They offer a free breakfast (pancakes or French toast) at the Badlands Saloon downtown Wall. It was great! I added eggs and blueberries to my pancakes and coffee it cost about two bucks each for my extras. a great deal.

We were looking for a place that was close to the Badlands and had never stayed in a Travel Lodge before. We thought "oh well, proximity to a national park is worth just having an ok stay." From the first call, Laura was a gem and helped us book a room for a couple nights. We were greeted by her and her precious pup Derp when we got here. From the outside this place looks like your regular run of the mill outdoor motel but the room blew our minds! The beds are more comfy than a Hilton and there were more thoughtful touches than an air BNB. The room was clean, smelled fresh, and we were even gifted a voucher for breakfast and free drinks! I would give this place 10 stars if I could! My GF and I travel the country regularly and rarely come across such a lovely place at such an affordable cost.Rooms: Rooms were very spacious and clean, with very comfortable beds. Seemed to get a lot for what we paid for. Staff was also very friendly. We would absolutely stay here again if ever in the area.Nearby activities: Less than 10 miles from the badlands park.Noteworthy details: Right off the highway, so a great place to for a restful night after traveling.

Charged $179 plus dollars for a very very small room and our door had a broken lock on our door so we had to push the bureau against it to secure it. There were no towels for our showers at all. Had no other rooms to switch us to so we blocked the door with said furniture and used washcloths to dry with. House keeping was nice but knocked on our door at 8am and woke us up. Then they knocked two more times before 10:30am. Check out was 11am. I did complain and asked for any small discount as an apology (I would have been good with $5. off even as it was the principal of the experience) but the manager never even bothered to call and just apologize. Very disappointed in Travel Lodge. Will not stay here ever again and we will be in the area often as will many friends who will know of our experience. Maybe we're the expendable guests as I am a disabled veteran.

You won't stay any where better. The staff is the epitome of customer service. From the moment you check in your needs are aknowldege and met, right down to a disposable razor and complimentary breakfast at a local restaurant that is delicious. You are seconds away from food and entertainment, minutes away from the Badlands and moments away from making incredible memories. The housekeepers are so kind and sweet and considerate. Just great folk all around. Will stay here again if we make it back out to the Bandlands on future trips.Rooms: Beautiful. And they smell great.ol.Nearby activities: Wall drug is 4 blocks awaySafety: Never felt unsafe. Locking doorsLots of lighting. Right off the highway.Walkability: Close to everything.Food & drinks: You could walk 4 blocks and have EVERYTHING you need.

My experience began at check in . The gal behind the desk , Laura is amazing. Smiling, bubbly personality that is infectious. She is knowledgeable, personal. She did not however provide an accurate description of the room I would be staying in. She could not have possibly told me how amazing these rooms are how new everything looks and smells.rating 1-5 , 5 being the best . I give Newly remodeled rooms lobby and front desk person , a 10 out of five thank you Travellodge thank you Laura for the best nights day I’ve ever had in a motel

Staff at the lodge was very friend. The exterior is quite rough which staff said they are planning the renovation. There was a cute little play set and small pool that my kids enjoyed. Unfortunately there was a lot of misquitos in the town but they can’t control that. The rooms were modern with black accent wall, white bedding, Wi-Fi TV, and a nice alarm clock with plug ins. The interior would definitely surprise you by seeing the exterior. The beds were the best we had so far on this trip.

I’d first like to say that my husband and I just completed a 2 week road trip. This Travelodge in Wall, South Dakota was the final property that we stayed in. We were both exhausted and ready to be home - my husband had gotten quite ill with exacerbated symptoms of some of his chronic health conditions during our trip and it made everything more complicated and stressful. We have a high level membership with another larger chain and had planned to stay at the Wall location but, long story short, the manager wasn’t incredibly helpful and we were unable to book a room on short notice. When I called Travelodge and the manager, Laura, answered, she was immediately kind, compassionate, and helpful. I wasn’t sure what I was going to do yet and she assured me she’d be there and ready to help if we chose to stay there. When we pulled in, I’ll admit, we wondered what we had gotten ourselves into. This property is mid massive overhaul and they chose to focus on the inside first as that’s what would keep their guests most comfortable, which, after staying there, I can attest was a WISE choice! Anyway, don’t let the outer appearance fool you, they’ve worked so hard at getting this place in shape for the upcoming season and I promise you’ll feel it if you stay!I walked into the office and was greeted by the manager (who has the sweetest southern accent that I adore!), she finished getting my reservation in order while I looked around and we chatted. Freshly painted walls, new/modern/rustic decor hung on the walls, classy leather seating, free popcorn, coffee, and donuts (my husband is still raving about these! They’re the best packaged donuts we’ve ever had!). She gave me my keys and we unlocked the doors and my husband immediately exclaimed “Oh, sh**!!” He was THRILLED at the large, flat screen tv on the wall - the biggest we’d seen in any property, even in the “executive suites” we’d stayed in that cost over double what this room did. Brand new paint and decor as well. Almost all new furniture (I especially loved the little leather bench, it’s not a piece I would expect to see in a hotel, but it just made so much sense with getting ready and going through luggage and packing/unpacking), brand new mattresses, bedding, power “strip” (but they’re square) doo dads with USB built in, so convenient! They bathroom was small but extremely clean and either newly renovated or well kept! No leaky toilet, no hair in the shower, every single towel was pristine. Such a breath of fresh air after the run of properties we’d been through. The shampoo, conditioner, and lotion smelled absolutely delicious! Brand new mini fridge and microwave. They have a single serve coffee maker with delicious coffee and all of the “fixings” available in each room. The pool wasn’t in use yet, but we wouldn’t have had time to use it, anyway. It looked nice, though. And very deep! There’s a nice, wooden play system for children to play on that’s central to their properties. We were also given the comp drink and breakfast vouchers for Badlands Saloon and Grille, as well as a coupon for their shop. We had the French toast and it was delicious! The owner was who took my order at the bar and he was also very kind, generous, and friendly. All in all, this Travelodge in Wall was, BY FAR, the most comfortable and welcoming hotel that we stayed at in the entire 2 weeks! We wished we had more time to stay and definitely plan to bring our business back there!*I’ve seen a few complaints about the ice machine situation and I just have a few things to add. 1. There is a brand new ice machine and it will likely be in use by the time anyone who reads this stays there. 2. I “had to” walk across the parking lot (not the street as many have claimed) to get a bucket of ice for our room from their other property. It was honestly a shorter distance than many hotel hallways I’ve had to navigate searching for an ice machine. I think the bottom line is that some people just feel the need to complain. Take a few steps and walk it off, you might not be so high strung! 😉

Really large room, plenty of open space for luggage and moving things in from the car.I can't believe I got a contemporary-western designed room at... Travelodge! It's like the owner won a design show makeover or something. And it's really functional. SUPER comfy bed, humongous TV,Gave us coupons for free breakfast at a real restaurant (but you can only select from French toast, pancakes or biscuits and gravy) but at least bfast doesn't end at 9am like some places.

Literally had he best service by Hotel Manager Laura! She is amazing. I literally just got back from Seattle to Wisconsin, and needless to say, I was hanging by a thread. To my good fortune, Laura was there to help me, and that she did. I really can’t say enough about her hospitality, but the people in the Travel Lodge business are very lucky to have her as an employee. Friendly, down-to-earth. Nice. Kind. I could go on. She even offered me a free drink card at the Salty Steer,15%-25% off at Badlands & Company, and free complimentary breakfast on them from 7-10 a.m. at Badlands Saloon & Grille! She even gave me a pen, and the room inside had Cucumber Melon shampoo, with Grapefruit Conditioner by Human + Kind.

Gave coupons to take to their restaurant several blocks away from the motel. No food available at motel. Service person wad very nice and helpful. Price for room was outrageous. Tourists trap area. We were just passing through on our trip. This place is priced for Tourists to the Wall Drug Store .Rooms: Cheaply furnishedFood & drinks: Not available at motel. My wife can't walk the distance to the restaurant or bar owned by the motel. There was no place to park our truck and trailer either.

Staff friendly. My room was dirty. The bathroom door and wall looked like it had pee stains on it. The floor needed a good wet swiffering or something. Air conditioner unit was filthy. Super obnoxious people upstairs banging around all night, and yelling outside. Key card didn’t work the second night, but luckily there was a staff member around. Bed wasn’t bad, and honestly I really just stayed in my bed. It’s where I felt cleanest. I was hiking the Badlands for two days so my time in my room was minimal until nighttime.

Decent cheap place to stay. Beds were okay and room seemed clean. Sheets had a few minor stains but nothing major. The place is adequate at best but served its purpose for us. We got a hot shower and a decent night's sleep. The air conditioner/heater was extremely loud but it worked. Added bonus is they are pet friendly and have a low pet fee. Check-in was fast as well. We initially booked at America's best value inn across the street but they didn't have any remaining pet friendly rooms. Turns out they are owned by the same people and the room just transferred over which was nice.
