After working there for about a year, I know how tough it is for the employees to keep up with everything there is to do. Regardless of that, the store is stocked fairly well, the customer service is so much better since the last manager left. It. Makes a big difference in moral when you are working for someone that's impossible to please versus the present management.

I’ve been shopping here since the day they opened and it used to be a GREAT experience. The other manager left and ever since it’s a nightmare! I was willing to wait for them to catch up knowing they were short staffed and such. But the new manager is rude. Several employees are nice enough but clearly overwhelmed. I tried for 2 days to just find out if they sell cream cheese. Nobody seems to even know! Shelves are always empty, store is dirty, customer service is just not an option anymore. We probably spend 200-300 a week there. But after asking an employee to assist me untangle 8 pairs of clearance shoes so I could buy some and being treated badly because of it?? I’m pretty much done with the Volga DG.

It's a Dollar General! Been to one, you've been to them all. That said, it is clean, the staff has always been helpful and friendly to me, and it is a nice addition to Volga. Especially good for popping in for the one or two small things you need but don't want to fight the crowds at the only 2 supermarkets in Brookings.

Wish they had some more choices 4 food. Other than that they r great. Friendly Cashiers and they have a cereal there my daughter and I love we can't find anywhere else.

The assistant manager that very rude to us after we told her someone was parking in a handicap spot with no handicap parking card or no license plate . Just because I told that customer she had no business parking there then the customer smart mouth teenage daughter got in my face and told I had business talking to her mom like that and told me I wasn't handicap.We never shop in the Dollar General Store in Volga,S D again after the way we were treated there. This is not the first time this has happened at this store.

Dollar General never disappoints with a wide variety of trinkets, one of a kinda items and Home Decor that can fit any budget. You can even get that 'one thing' you've debated on while shopping.Have fun shopping!

Manager is rude and hard to work for. She curses around employees and is very unprofessional.The store is dirty. It's hard to get around the aisles I won't go back in there.

I've never really considered DG much, but from my first visit, the Volga location has become my go-to for most everything because of the genuinely friendly and helpful staff!

closes earlier and earlier now with no warning, just we closed earlier short staffed. So much lost business in the 5 minutes 6 vehicles pulled in and left.

Nice store. The only thing I don't like is they have a very strong deodorizer throughout the store, which makes the bread they sell taste like it.

i went in today to ship something through fedex and the cashier lady was giving mad looks and complaining about how big the box was 😂 but the guy that works there was friendly
