I tend to shop local as I want to support local business as much as possible, with that being said, I went into Ace of Sturgis tonight to buy some paint, I know nothing about paint. There were 4 people standing by the front cash registers and none of them could even say hi to me. Horrible shopping experience, they did say good night when I left. Pretty sad they were more excited to see me leave than to help me buy something. Guess it's on to Rapid City to a big box store.

Very nice little hardware store. Has alot of product for the size it is. Constantly trying to change things around and bring in new product, all while helping customers find everything they need...with a little bit of stuff they didn't know they needed. If it isn't in-stock in the store, more then happy to try to get it in, all you have to do is ask. Hope to see you soon!!-

The service at most Ace Hardware stores is good. Sturgis is no exception. All staff members know the store well and are super helpful. The quality of the store isn't great but I suppose one doesn't go to a hardware store for the ambiance. They mostly have what I need every time and will go out of their way to help. I've been very satisfied with this store.

5/24/23- Josh T. was extra patient in educating me on paint, did a great job meeting my product needs, and was very personable all the while. Made for a great shopping experience. This is why I shop here vs. Going to RC where things might be a small bit cheaper.Past: Tyler D. was helpful in showing me the snowblowers he had and even went the extra mile to show me the ones he had in his storage unit. Much appreciated.Past: Gary M. Was very helpful this evening. Went above and beyond to honor a sale price that wasn't ringing up correctly.

My 5 year old loves your store so I try and make her day at least once a week and stop in to shop around, get her some popcorn and let her visit with the kitty cats! It makes her day! The staff is always friendly, helpful and willing to help as soon as you enter the store! It has a warm home town feel! Its heart warming to see all this store dose for the community as well! Keep up the great work!

I wasn't so sure of my reception with a return as everyone employed appeared to be a quinquangenarian, however I was mistaken in my hesitation. Everyone, including the cashier and the man who follows me around the store in disbelief of my ability to identify much less use the items I wish to purchase, was thoroughly a professional, and courteous. This store's employees are a fine example of the vaulted customer service you rarely actually receive, and never expect, especially in Sturgis, SD. I was thoroughly, pleasantly surprised. Well done, Ace!!

Only one person there when I walked in. He was helping some one else so I tried to find what I needed but couldn't. Walked around the corner and there were 5 workers there. I asked for help and found what I needed went to pay and the lady told me not to mess the package up in case I needed to return it. Its one of those packages that you have to cut open to get the item out. Not friendly not personable. Will avoid going there again.

So happy to find a place to rent tools. The young man there working was awesome. Really helped me out when I was in a real jam.Dog run needed one more post and I couldn't find one anywheres. I Googled where to rent tools and called.INSTANTANEOUS HELP Yay, dog run finished!

As a local resident, I am so pleased to say that this hardware store offers just what I need when I need it. I hate the thought of having to spend the time, effort, and gas just to drive to another town to pick up the things that we already have available here in Sturgis. It's important to support local businesses, so that driving to places like Spearfish or Rapid City doesn't become our only option. I appreciate the one on one help that this little store provides and my plan is to keep going back!
