We have been hesitant to boarding our dog since his first experience at another place was all around rough…A friend recommended Marta’s and we couldn’t be happier! She helped our sweet pup come out of his shell, he got to get love and snuggles while also getting to play with other dogs which I’ve always been so nervous about! We will definitely be coming back and utilizing her doggy daycare as well! Cannot say enough how thrilled we were!!!

Our experience at Marta’s was top notch! We were visiting the Black Hills from out of town for a family reunion, but no pets were allowed at the rental unit where we had the reunion - thankfully, Deadwood has Marta!!The facility is clean, well taken care of, and Marta treated our dog like one of her own. When we came back for pick up, our dog was happy to see us, but not at all distressed and she was in no hurry to leave. Clearly, the interaction between Marta, her staff and our dog was very positive. Ironically, I ended staying in a hotel for a brief time during this trip, but think I would have preferred staying in the kennel with our dog!What I’m saying - don’t hesitate to use Marta’s Deadwood Doghouse. It’s awesome! And, I wish I had a kennel like this available in my home town! Thanks for taking care of us Marta!

Marta and her employees are amazing. I have a really old Siberian Husky with some health problems who she accomodated phenomenally. We also have a young, energetic Siberian who just loved staying at Marta's. I was able to book quickly and with little notice. She took photos of the dogs for me and kept me updated during their stay. I would recommend this place without hesitation.

We decided to drop off our dog with Marta while we were visiting town for a day. Marta was very personable and friendly. She gave us a tour of the facilities, and after we left our dog (who has severe separation anxiety) Marta kept us updated with pictures and texts through out the day. Would absolutely recommend her to anyone needing a daycare.

Very pleased with our experience. It was our 1st time using Martas dog boarding and we were initially nervous but we are happy to say that we definitely would use them again and we highly recommend them. Very caring and thoughtful. It was so nice to get pictures and updates of how he was doing. Wish they were closer to where we live in Seattle.

We had a wonderful experience utilizing the services of Martha’s Deadwood Doghouse. We were visiting the area and had our two small dogs with us. Martha was willing to let us bring the animals in on Sunday and she was willing to keep them for as long as we needed. Due to a storm that occurred while at the casinos in Deadwood that night, Martha was even willing to let them spend the night on short notice. She met every need that we had in terms of food and water and attention for our dogs. Our dogs are very much members of our family and we feel that we can highly recommend that you take your animals with absolute confidence knowing that they will be cared for beautifully. She even sent a photo showing how well they were doing. Another plus for using this particular boarding kennel is that it is less than 10 minutes away from the casinos in deadwood.

My puppy St. Bernard stayed with Marta yesterday. He had a great time and was exhausted when we got home. Marta is so knowledgeable about dog behavior. I was nervous because he is a BIG puppy but she explained the process and let me watch her introduce my dog to other dogs. I will definitely be taking him back.

On our recent family vacation we decided to bring our two small dogs with us who we absolutely adore but this also limited some of the outings we wanted to do. We were so fortunate to find Martha’s Deadwood Doghouse. She worked with us in terms of dropping off time for what was going to be a full day of day care but a very short notice turned into an overnight stay. She made sure to follow all of the instructions we had in terms of food, water and sleeping arrangements for our little ones. She also communicated with me all throughout their time with her and even sent me a photo so that I could know that they were doing great. In all honesty my dogs don’t do boarding all that well they’re normally pretty freaked out by the next day. However, when I picked them up the next day they were both calm and relaxed which was a wonderful surprise. With her being located less than five minutes from deadwood it made getting back-and-forth incredibly convenient. If we’re ever in the area again we absolutely will use her services and wish she was located closer to our home so that we could have someone that reliable and amazing to look after our dogs all the time.

I can not say enough good about this facility. I used to worry about my dog when I went away but I had not found Marta's! She treats my dog like her own. She and her staff are always cheerful and happy to see my boy! The facility is clean clean clean better than some hotels I've seen. Do yourself a favor and book your fur family member here and enjoy your day or vacation!!

Ive been working long hours and haven't had time to walk my lab. Took her to Marta's yesterday so she could burn off some energy. Molly passed out after we got home and let me sleep in the next morning! Marta and her folks are super friendly, the facility is really nice and clean, and they worked with me on a pick up time. Prices are very reasonable. Taking Molly back again soon!

I left my dog here while my fiancé and I spent the day in Deadwood during our vacation in South Dakota last week. Marta is very sweet and my dog was so tired and happy when we picked her up! Very reasonably priced and a great location (3 miles outside of Deadwood). If we come back to the area we will kennel our pup here again!

Marta and her family are exactly the type of people you want to leave your dog with. She was extremely accommodating to a random pickup request for an excursion that lasted a few hours. Sent videos the first few days to show how the pupper was acclimating/doing. Definitely going to return when we’re in the hills.

I just went for a tour before I board my dogs. The facility is clean, temperature controlled, play areas for the dogs and the dogs are not in their kennels for more than 2-2.5 hours at a time. They are allowed play time with other dogs. I think my dogs will have a great time there.

We called Marta on short notice to watch our dog while we went to the Deadwood Rodeo. Even though it was after her normal hours she agreed and really saved the day. When we picked Bo up we found out he got to swim (his favorite) and play with the other dogs there. So happy with this and can't say enough good about it, thank you Marta!
