Can't speak for anything other than the fish stuff here but if you are looking for anything aquarium related this should be your first stop. The staff have way better aquarium knowledge and expertise than any other place in Sioux Falls, and they are always helpful and understanding. Just make your life easier by doing business with them

This place is awesome! If you are reading this review debating if you should go visit, GO VISIT!The staff is super nice and helpful. As soon as you walk in they want to provide excellent service. They recognize you, too! When I was first getting into the aquarium hobby and asking for help, they even remembered the tank size I had, when I got it, and what livestock I had. That is amazing!As a newbie I have asked lots of questions and they are always willing to chat with me about solutions, product, methods, or anything I need help with. I get my RO water here, I've brought in water for testing, and it's definitely my favorite place to get livestock. So many cool aquarium animals! If they don't have what you're looking for, they can special order it!One of my favorite things is picking out new shrimp, because they go above and beyond. I can point at a particular shrimp in the tank and they will catch it for me to purchase. The first time I got shrimp here, they fished around the entire tank for a wide variety of colors and cool appearances, and then let me pick my favorites from that bunch. I cannot express what a wonderful introduction to the hobby that was. Shrimp are such special little creatures in my eyes, and to have someone so thoughtfully and carefully helping me pick them out!? That's really incredible!They also maximize the use of their space with so many high quality products that are priced fairly and always available. It's really impressive how many tanks, fish, and product they have.Why are you still reading? Go see their selection for yourself and meet these wonderful experts! I am going to go back to staring at my shrimp...

It’s a delight any time I go in to this store. Every time, I walk away with a great experience and new knowledge. The staff are always friendly and helpful and will always take the time to answer your questions.10/10 would recommend for anyone in need of pet supplies in the area. Got about 25 african cichlids in this tank and almost all came from woofs and waves. They're very knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and have a good selection most of the time. I had issues with one of my tanks and ammonia but with their advise was able to correct it in 1-2 days. I love going here!

They had free water checks. Very helpful told us things we couldn’t find on the internet. The fish were healthy and they had starfish. The people who say the fish were being treated badly are wrong because my 12 year old some how didn’t let the fish adjust and they still survived because they were in such good shape.

Im pretty sure both times I’ve been in since getting my cat a month ago I’ve gotten to speak with the owner. And he’s helped me understand cat nutrition at its best. My cat was extremely sick we got him and with the staff and owners knowledge, and as struggling new cat owner they’ve helped me get my boy to a very good place with healthy, balanced and exceptional food, and nutrition products. I’ve had nothing but the best customer service since being a customer and there’s not a chance I’ll be going anywhere else it’s worth the drive. Anywhere from kibble-raw food for animals with facts, and knowledge to back it up extremely helpful. Thank you to the staff and owner for all that you’ve done to help me with my family’s boy to get him on the right track.

I really like Woofs and Waves. They have great customer service and are very knowledgeable when it comes to questions you may have. They have a loyalty program where you can earn points and redeem them for cash to be used towards your purchase. They also carry a lot of unique items other pet stores don't supply. They even have a small clearance section towards the very back of store.

Great selection of fish and aquarium supplies. Livestock is top notch. Great local pet store. Customer service is also great. They have other animal products also. Always find something to buy. They have great sales every so often. Always a pleasure to go there.

Seriously best pet store in sioux falls. Especially for amazing fish, live plants for aquarium (for fresh and salt water). Also they have amazing live food for geckos and other reptiles. Highly recommend! Great service with amazing patients 😍

Have always had a wonderful experience there. And today, after years and now an extra tank I decided to finally try saltwater in my 15 gal flex. Mark was awesome, he told me everything I needed to know and then some. When I told him we had a 2 hour ride home in cold weather he went in the back got me a styrofoam box, put a heat pack in it and told me no worries. Got home, acclimated the fish and put them in tank. They love it, lots of activity, beautiful colors, and he reignited my interest in the hobby. Thank u Mark!!! We will be back for more.#woofs&waves

Just came here for the first time we are new to the saltwater fish community and have been going to another store the last few months and not getting much help as far as information or tips for our tank so decided to try this store. We are so glad we did and will continue coming back for all our saltwater and tank needs! Everyone is super helpful and the owner himself is extremely informative! Absolutely amazing store and knowledgeable and friendly staff!! Been there once and can already see myself coming back multiple times. Their tanks are incredibly well maintained, taken care of, and well stocked with different species ranging from common freshwater to specialty saltwater. On top of this, they have amazing underwater plant variety, which are also incredibly healthy!! I have a planted tank, and I'm definitely coming back soon for more :)

I think this should be your first stop for all your fish needs! the employee's are super helpful they tell you about the fish your interested in they will also help you find anything you need even if you ain't quite sure what you need to have a great tank set up.and it's all at a great price! I go to woof and waves for all my fish aquarium and food needs. won't go anywhere else unless I absolutely have to.

I have been coming here since I got my puppy at 8 weeks old and they helped me choose which food he should have based on his growth rates and breed needs. He's over a year now and we come here all the time. ALL of the staff is incredibly knowledgeable and very personable. They also have toys and treats for my cats you can't get anywhere else in town.This is a store that truly cares about you and your pets.

Hands down my favorite pet store. The only place I trust for healthy fish. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. They carry a wide selection of aquarium products. Do yourself a favor and skip the chain stores, Woofs and Waves is by far the best pet store in town.
