This was my dog's first time getting groomed. I truly can't believe I waited this long to make an appointment! She looks amazing and I couldn't be happier with Precious Pets.They have early appointment times so it was really convenient to drop her off at 7am before work. She was done around 11am. Everyone I saw or talked to inside was so nice and it's easy to tell they all care alot about the pets.You can see in my photo how they trimmed between each nail on her paws. The level of detail is crazy.She won't even let me near her paws so we definitely needed some professional help!!

I just moved back and was looking for a groomer. My dog is small and has epilepsy. Precious Pets is already prepared for dogs with all sorts of health issues and special preferences! It made me feel like my dog wasn’t just a service, but a living little friend. Definitely felt like a safe place, and I’m an overprotective dog mom. Heidi did a wonderful job grooming my Pomeranian. I let her use her best judgement and do whatever she thought looked best! 7 years of grooming and this was best and most educated Pomeranian groom my dog had received. It’s been a week and my dog still smell good. I can’t wait to bring her there again and utilize other services.

The groomer left cotton balls in the ears of our dog that were packed in so far we did not notice until after a few days our dog was blinking his eyes and started working the cotton from his ears. We made several vet visits, ER visit, and until now we are dealing with many issues. We also had to get a CT scan, MRI, bloodwork, and several medications. To have a super healthy certified therapy dog go through this is ridiculous. Would not recommend this place to anyone.In reply to the owner it was $578.48 for the first vet visits plus reimbursement for the groom to be exact. This is a drop in the bucket for all the medical treatment I have since sustained. P.s. Trevor did not reach out again past that one time payment.

I'm new to the area and picked them off of the recent good reviews. It was a mistake. I took my dog blue (4yr cane Corso pit mix) In for daycare. Hes never been and they were made aware of this. The first day it went great (was there 4 hrs) , he came home happy and tuckered out. The next day I got a call saying he had an altercation with another dog (apparently the other dog had been going there for years with no issues) and bkue was put in day boarding. Both dogs were ok. I picked my dog up and after getting home realized he had a open area on his back leg and a scratch on the inside of his ear. I addressed it the next morning and the lady's at the front desk apologized and explained it had been a busy day. I can understand that. I was also informed that he would be doing a few hrs of daycare and than moved to day boarding as they felt he was getting over stimulated and just wasnt ready for a full day. Completely understandable and I was appreciative that they were working with him. Well that isn't what happened. He was allowed to walk the isle way with supervision and that was counted as daycare. He was than put back in day boarding. Granted I was told he was going to daycare for a few hrs each day and being charged for it. Granted there were a few days I was charged just for day boarding but for the most part charged for a full day of daycare. After two weeks of "daycare" I realized blue still came home with tons of energy, was eating less (not going to be hungry if your not burning any energy)and drinking a whole bowl of water. I called and asked what the plan was to start getting more hrs in daycare because i was told he "did great in daycare" every time he went. Trevor the person in charge of the daycare portion explained he didn't really have a plan and he was still trying to figure out his personality. After 3-4 sessions a week 6 hrs at a time, you should have at least a general idea. I understand that the safty of all dogs need to be considered but i except to be aware of what your doing with my dog while hes in your care. If you tell me hes in daycare for X amount of time, than thats what i expect. While their are alot of people that have obviously had a great experience, I unfortunately didn't. I paid for services not rendered and had little to no communication between myself and the facility.

First time bringing my dog here and I even told them she can be anxious when I leave her places. I was very unimpressed with their customer service not only to me but also my dog. Wasn’t even greeted when I walked in and they snatched my dogs leash without saying hello to her or letting her sniff them. She was terrified from the minute I brought her inside to the second she left her appointment and I never saw them comfort her or love her - not even a pet on the head or a “oh it’s gunna be okay” They were more worried about their form of payment then telling me my dog did a good or bad job of being groomed or the services they did on my dog and how well she received them. She still had dog food on her face after her grooming appointment, pictured, which included a bath. Though they did a fine job at deshedding her - this means NOTHING to me if you don’t love or care for my dog even a fraction of the amount I do! I can take my dog anywhere to be groomed but how well you treat her and love her means more to me and I even expressed this when I called to make the appointment for her. Maybe that’s just me, but I’m a dog mom and my dog means the world to me.

They take good care of your pets. Just one thing. Send photos of our little ones while we are away. A picture can brighten a person day. Especially if you traveling out of state for medical care. Trust Me.. it will enlighten people day. Whether they are having a Fantastic day or a horrible day.But you guys take good care of our little ones why we continue to bring them to you.

I LOVE this place. I brought my German Shepherd here to be bathed and groomed and they did an excellent job. My dog looked great when they were done and they are very professional and good to the dogs in their care. I would HIGHLY recommend both the grooming and the pet resort.

Great availability and communication. Definitely some errors on the grooming side of things. It could be due to restless pups though. Our poodle seems to have had one of her old lady dog bumps snagged by the clippers. She seems fine but I don't think they told us about it.Otherwise overall it was up to standard expectations.

So so friendly!! My friend had just adopted a dog and we were able to get in right away and they took such good care of her! I've never taken my dog to get groomed per say, since she's a short hair dog, but i will definitely be taking her here for nail trimmings and possibly some day care days! They are also super reasonable with their prices, everyone's super friendly, everything is really clean! Just an all around awesome place with great customer service!

Will not be returning. Cost $115 for wash, cut, and nail trim on a 13 pound dog. I asked that she wasn’t completely shaved down, not to cut her eyelashes. I dropped her of in the the morning. 3.5 hours later I had heard nothing from them, I called and asked if she was done and they told me 20 minutes and they would text me. I never received a message. I’m I showed up an hour after I had called and they said she was done. The groom was everything I asked not to have done. My girl is still a puppy, and eats 3 times per day. Had I know it would take over 4 hours to get her groomed and she would miss her meal I wouldn’t have brought her here.

I used to take my dog to precious pets for his grooming, I really loved the place but they are taking WAY too many clientele, more than they can handle and it shows. I brought my dog in for a haircut and waited 5 HOURS, once I called to check and see his update they said “oh yeah he’s ready. we where about to call you”Mind you, this isn’t the first time they’ve done this.Once I picked him up my poor baby was shaking soooo bad. If you can’t chew what you bite, don’t take that big of a bite.Glad we found my dog a new groomer.

I had my Shih tzu and Yorkie groomed here. Never again! The haircuts are ok but I don't spend that much on my own haircut. Almost $200 and they have the audacity to request a tip? I could have driven to my former groomer in Fargo ND and still saved money!

They are very passionate about the animals who come in, that is what has kept us coming back. The prices are quite high...after a tip, each of my doodles averages around $150 each (and I don't leaveas high of a tip as I would like to as a result). I always wonder if they were misbehaved, causing the high price, but the staff always says that they were good...? My pups always come home extremely thirsty as well, which is a negative for me. I spoke with a past employee recently who informed me that dogs are allowed to intermingle, which is absolutely NOT ok, especially for my anxious dog who can be aggressive towards other dogs.We have found a different groomer as a result of the above concerns and are extremely pleased.

My Ma has been taking our Poodle their since she turned 6 months old back in February. The place does a good Job but some how never listens to what my mom wants in certain spots.Pro'sGood HaircutsFast Turn around normally under 3 hours.Con'sPrice: My ma has been taking our poodle their for months for her monthly haircut and the bill was always well over 120$. A 120$ for a haircut is on the expensive side in my opinion.Hair trimmer never listens to my ma's wishes regarding cutting certain areas further down or a different way. We also keep telling the people to not use the Perfume as our Poodle is having a adverse reaction to it, itching for days after the haircut but that is also because of the haircut of course. We asked for them to not use the perfume but it's always used regardless.Great place for your hair cut needs for your fur babies but the pricing is a little on the high end for the end result.

The owner of Precious Pets does not offer consistent quality work and is unable and unwilling to account for her mistakes. We have a standard poodle and took him to Precious Pets almost immediately after we moved to Sioux Falls. His first groom by the owner there was great, no complaints on our side.We went a second time for a shorter German cut and the job was butchered. We wanted his ears shaved. We were called beforehand and confirmed this over the phone. When he was done, his ears weren't fully shaved down. The cut was choppy and uneven throughout. There was a huge section on his back that was well shorter than the rest. His ears, face, and paws weren't cleaned up at all. There was a huge clump of hair in one of his ears that was just left there. Afterwards, he was shaking his head so much he had hematomas in both ears. The hair on his back and head was very frizzy, indicating he wasn't dried properly after being washed. His sanitary area wasn't even cleaned up. Even after going back there, the glaring issues weren't even addressed.We tried to talk to the owner but she refused to get on the phone and instead relayed excuse after excuse via her employees. No grooming shop owner should let a dog leave a grooming shop with such shoddy work or make excuses for anything like this. If you believe your pet is precious, don't take your pet to Precious Pets.

I have worked at this facility for over two years, these people here are truly passionate for the dogs! They look over the dogs skin and overall health while grooming to make sure the dog is in good health which is amazing! Each groomer here has their own fun personality which the dogs enjoy just as I have! I've seen most dogs just run and jump on their table because they're so excited!! Each groomer takes the time and patience with each dog so there's no worry leaving your dog there because they are in great hands ❤️The resort is also full of people so full of love for every single one of these dogs. They take time out of their day to make sure each one is comfortable and give them one on one attention! Dogs who may not like other dogs or even get nervous enjoy their time there because they have care assigned individually to fit their comfort! No matter the breed or background!The owners care about each client and each employee individually and go to the end of the Earth for them.Highly recommend this place!

I just picked up my Lukie. OMG Im in tears!!! And on top of being the WORST chop job of a haircut Ive ever seen, they LIED that that is what I asked for!!! My beautiful schnauzer has NO skirt and his hair is missing huge gaps. And they said thats what I asked for 😢😞

We took our puppy in for his second grooming her on a recommendation of family and friends . We were very pleased with the service and staff. Cooper was well taken care if and he looked great. Going back for sure.

Do not get your dog groomed here. The groomer sliced our 9lb, 15 year old dog’s neck so bad that she needed 6 staples. I would add a photo, but it is very graphic. Staff was very unapologetic and the vet was shocked that degree of cut could happen from a grooming. You’ve been warned!!

Took my dog there today for the first time. She came home with nails that were bleeding as they were cut far too short. I absolutely understand that this happens but it makes me frustrated that no one told me about it when I picked her up. I also paid $130 for my large dog. I don’t mind paying a high price for a satisfactory result but the nails along with inattention to detail in the cut will stop me from bringing my dog here in the future.

Our labor-doodle always smells so fresh and clean after his hair cuts! They follow strict instructions from my picky preference and their schedule is not the typical month (plus) wait time, we call and schedule appointments within days! He's always excited to return, we are very happy we found the place.
