Came in near the end of the night on a Saturday and enjoyed the remainder of some light jazz, a glass of wine, and some great food!Service was quick but not pushy and the sorbet with champagne was also an unexpected surprise. I highly recommend the bruschetta and brussel sprouts. The chicken lettuce wraps were also full of flavor.Would love to try their outdoor patio in warmer weather.Parking: There is a small parking lot directly in front of the building. I imagine it is full earlier in the evening. But no problems finding parking a little later even on a weekend.

Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at 7:30pOverall, we had a very good meal but it could have been excellent with better service and execution. The restaurant atmosphere is great; modern and clean with windows overlooking the Big Sioux River. There's a large outdoor patio overlooking the river. The wait times for ordering drinks and food were long. Once our food (2 burgers, fries, and a salad) was ordered, it was a very long time before the food was brought to the table. Our orders were not hot - plates were warm but not piping hot as we expected after such a long wait. Mediocre service is the reason I have rated Ode 4 stars instead of 5 stars.

Ode to Food was something I tried first during the pandemic, and always wanted to go back. They were open for lunch, then stopped serving lunch, and have since started to serve lunch again. I was very pleased to find this out, and a friend and I recently went to try it. The menu is substantial with a variety of delicious sounding sandwich and salad options, as well as a full bar. The IPA on tap was was reasonably priced at $6 a glass. I had their version of a blue cheese burger with bacon with a side of fries, and my friend had their blackened tuna burger with a side caesar salad. Overall, both plates were executed well, and my burger was sizable and topped with delicious crispy onion. A couple of critiques, nothing major, but something that prevented me from pushing the review to five stars: while I did order the burger medium well, it was definitely very well cooked - a note to self to make sure to just say medium next time; and the blackened tuna burger, while seared perfectly was a little strangely a little cold. Regardless, I will definitely be back to try it the future and definitely recommend other to do the same!

I have been here several times and I have ordered a burger every time. These are not ordinary burgers. This time I ordered the Ghost Pepper burger. Not as hot as I thought but very tasty. The waygu beef is fantastic. The black n bleu burger is another great burger. Love the bite of the blue cheese. Great bourbon selection. Friendly staff.

Absolutely amazing! Wonderful food, staff, and atmosphere. We highly recommend the bruschetta trio. As a vegetarian, I was very pleased with the many meatless options. Our server was outstanding. Don't miss out on this gem!Vegetarian options: Great options!

Driving through back to MN, ordered the hummus plate as an appetizer and ravioli as the entree. Hummus was okay, but the ravioli was outstanding and delicious. Got a palette cleanser in between, some kind of mix of cider, sorbet and champagne. Had a few adult drinks, Pineapple Tea was amazing. It’s far from home but will come back perhaps someday.

Delicious food with high quality ingredients. The burgers were really unique and the crème brûlée was delectable! The atmosphere was loud and it felt a little crowded. But the live music was a neat touch that me and my husband really appreciated. The staff was very friendly and had a good balance of making sure we were doing well and also giving us space and privacy to eat and enjoy our time together. It is expensive but worth it for the experience!

I was really excited about this place we went for live music which was awesome the jazz guy was cute and talented. That being said my wife ordered the sea bass and by the time we got home she was starting to feel uneasy and then ended up getting food poisoning. She really likes sea bass and stated that it tasted alot fishier then she normally would have experienced. The bar tender was nice but would not check on us very often and it took almost 30 mins to get an appetizer order in. All in all we probably won't be back which is a bummer since we were looking for another date spot. Also the bacon old fashioned is very sweet just as an FYI.

We visited on a Saturday night, they had a gentleman playing light piano in the restaurant, a nice touch! The service is always excellent. I had the ribeye paired with the risotto and baby potatoes. The ribeye while was more on the rare side of medium-rare but it was very tender and delicious. The potatoes were a little plain for my liking, but the risotto was to die for.My wife had the smoked ravioli and I tasted it, if you like smoky flavor this dish is for you...for us it was a little too over powering.

I've been meaning to try this place for over a year. Very impressed with the service and quality of food. Even though they were out of scallops, the salmon was a good second choice, the hash is good enough to take home for breakfast the next day. My group also had the seamanship, cooked to perfection and good flavor, and burgers which were worth it! Creme Brule was top 2 I've ever had and light creamy cheesecake.

Once again this is a place my wife chose while traveling. We always like to try something unique and not a chain restaurant. We got a few sideway glances as we walked in. This was sort of an uppity restaurant, and I do not feel as if they thought we belonged. It made me think of the movie “The Cowboy Way”. I almost asked for a popsicle. However, that does not faze my wife and I. We were there for the food. The food was actually pretty good and unique. The staff could have been just a tad friendlier. They were not rude by any means. We are just from the Deep South and like real friendly.

I've eaten here a few times and each time I left feeling like it was way overpriced for the average quality of the food. On this trip I had the Chilean sea bass which is one of the most expensive on the menu. The fish was good but it was paired on a bed of mostly raw greens which did not pair well with the flavor and texture of the fish. The candied bacon old fashioned was acceptable for the price. The steak bites or Chislic was surprisingly White (see photo).Wheelchair accessibility: Simple first floor entry and car drop-off out front.

Menu offered only 1 option for chicken. Waitress was overworked and forgot to bring our drinks. We had to ask someone else to get them for us. The big ding, however, was the addition of French fried onions (think green bean casserole) to everything! My husband ended up ordering a burger, which was loaded with these things. I ordered scallops with crepes. It, too, was covered in the French fried onions. The crepes were filled with marzipan and pieces of soggy bacon. The sauce had a smokey pork/bacon flavor that clashed with the marzipan and the scallops. I scraped the onions and pieces of bacon off everything and ate the scallops, but couldn’t enjoy them with the lingering flavor of everything I removed. I took 2 bites of the crepes and nothing else. I’m not a picky eater, but this meal disgusted me. My husband and I were at Ode to celebrate our 26th wedding anniversary and Valentine’s Day. We were so disappointed! Definitely won’t return without checking the menu first, but it will be a long time before I return. Sorry to give you this bad review, but this was my experience.

Went to Ode for their burger battle. Service was friendly and on top of checking on us. No fault on the server but food was slow. The old “did they have to kill the cow before cooking type speed”. We were told multiple tables ordered the bb.We were asked how we wanted it. Cook to preference. Like that. I like medium to medium rare. I told the server I like a little pink. She checked in on us after our first bites. I told her for feedback only the burger was very dry and very well done. Hoping like usual she would take care of us. (A little entitled I know).. she thanked me for the feedback but didn’t do anything about the dry burger. Loved the atmosphere. Very friendly. Dissapointing execution of what could have been a great burger.

The food was ok at best but when we went for lunch and they advertised $4 well drinks and we noticed that the bottle of Captain Morgain was down in the well so my wife and I each had 3 single shot Captain Morgain/Doet Cokes. When we got our bill we were charged $12 per drink! When we asked about it we were told Captain is a call dink. I'm sorry, but Captain Morgain is not top shelf liquor and should not be priced as. All in all we won't be back

Yum! Everything here was amazing! My sister had the ceased salad, and I had the tuna sandwich. The tuna was perfectly cooked and the sandwich was so delicious! I'd order the same exact thing next time!

I had a great experience here and the food, drinks, and service was great! We also loved the location at the river-side and getting to see the sculptures and art. I ordered the Chilean sea bass and my partner ordered the smoked florentine ravioli. I LOVED the sea bass and it definitely melts in your mouth. The miso sauce was a really nice touch! My partner, on the other hand, did not enjoy the ravioli because they felt it had too much of a BBQ sauce type flavor which wasn’t appetizing mixed with red sauce and pasta. I agree. Other than this, everything was lovely. They have amazing drinks too.

My go to restaurant when friends are visiting from out of town. I’ve tried most of the menu and have never been disappointed. Best patio in the warmer months by far and nice live music when sitting indoors. Excellent service, food, and overall experience!

This restaraunt lives up to its name. Every facet of my experience here was a loving tribute to food and the dining experience. The lighting, the music, the service, the food - THE FOOD... For an appetizer I chose the hawaian pork egg rolls. The pork had a smoky flavor I loved. Then my server, Ben, brought out cherry sorbet and that was a lovely unexpected suprise, something I would probably only get if I was a friend of the family in a lesser establishment. I also had the lamb burger which was full of sophisticated flavors and textures. It was so juicy! this place is a true dining gem. It was all thoughtfully crafted and passionately executed. Everyone was friendly and happy to be here and I'm in love. Can't wait to come back.

Food was unevenly cooked & not cooked to order. I ordered a wagyu burger medium well & it was cooked as medium on one side & medium rare on the other side. The roasted sweet potatoes were coated in far more rosemary than any one dish should have & some were cooked while others were hard & uncooked. The Ahi tuna burger was delicious was again unevenly cooked with one side seared & nearly raw inside & the other side a nice medium throughout.Service was ok bit not what one would expect from the atmosphere of the restaurant.
