We were using a step stool to get items off the top shelf. The worker told us that we couldn't use them. So, we asked if they could get it down for us. The worker said I'll have to ask. Returning she told us that she couldn't grab it for us. We went into line and checked out. A lady in line seen we got some clearance items and asked us where we got them from. I pointed to the party aisle and the cashier rolled her eyes at me. I hope something changes there, because customers should not have to deal with rude employees!!!

Good store for a small town pretty good prices on soda and has a few things a small town wouldn't have at a better price if they weren't around. Haven't been in town long but I shop there frequently and would recommend it to a friend. I am not a fan of their app when you trying to add coupons and then it sends you to a website then you have to sign in and then back to the app it's all kind of ridiculous just to get your discount. I can see why the older folk don't use it it's a pain in the.

We are new to Salem and was so pleasantly surprised when I came into this store!! It was bright and clean and I can’t wait to go back! The young man at the register was friendly and so is the manager…well done team!! 🤩

There are not many stores in Salem, so it’s nice to have a Dollar General in town that has almost everything that’s on my shopping list. I wish they would stock up on stuff they run out of, like clothes hangers and sparkling water.

I took my 4 year old granddaughter to Dollar General to pick out her birthday presents. A Cinderella dress, Barbie, tiny doll for $1 and a kneeling bear in pajamas and cap that said the prayer Now I lay me down to sleep. She left the store thrilled to get everything she wanted.

Wow I am shocked ... long story short! we have lived in Salem for 4 years. We do a lot of shopping at our local Dollar General, we shop there almost daily. We know all the employees and manager I’d say pretty well ( even personally) and have always had great customer service ... until today 😦 unfortunately they have lost our business due to zero personal respect and unexpected hostility that was completely unnecessary. A manager is “in charge” of creating sales and growing a business.....Becky Neubauer has failed today. Dollar General hast lost HUNDREDS of dollars a month. Basic respect shouldn’t be something you have to beg for.

I had my debit card information stolen yesterday at Dollar General, thankfully my bank has a fraud dept and called about a $914 charge at the online Dollar General store!!! Thinking it might have been at the corporate level!

Cashier should be more alert when customers are done shopping and ready to check out.. waiting 45min for someone to check out is not a good impression.
