Clean with vending machines and enough space to fetch with a well behaved dog. If your dog likes to say hello to people this space might be a little close to the facilities.

This rest area has been clean, for the most part, when I have stopped in here. The stalls aren’t super short so you have some privacy. A lot of the other rest stops I go to the stalls might as well not be there. The truck parking is limited at this one so it’s luck of the draw if there are open spots. It all depends on what time of the day or night you get here. This is the way it is all along I29 in North and South Dakota. There is a hotel and casino just to the north. There is a little more truck parking and a hotel. There are several picnic tables under cover. Not sure if there are any grills so would work to eat or grill if you have those things.

Nice and clean, but had to walk through knee deep snow to get to it, then had to remove snow from in front of the door just to get in

South Dakota really needs to consider how welcoming the TP at their rest areas are. For alot of travelers these rest areas are their first and sometimes only experience in the state. I travel the country as a truck driver and have not seen thinner more useless paper anywhere. You literally have to use more to get the same effect and that cannot be a real $ saver and immediately turns people off from all the wonder things out great state has to offer. Step it up South Dakota. What message do we want to send people coming to or through our state? Are we letting them know about all the great people and places here or are we coming off as unwelcoming and cheap?
