This is my first experience staying at a hotel that offers suites. I like the extra room. But, there's more. The kitchen features a large, top mount fridge, microwave, a toaster and coffee maker and a automatic dishwasher!Bed was comfortable and I slept well.Bathroom is clean. However, I could not turn off the overhead fan.The room is a bit dated in terms of decor. The hide-a-bed couch is well worn.Breakfast was a cold breakfast featuring cereal, bagels, hard boiled eggs and toast. Coffee was also available along with a juice dispenser.It's a clean place to stay, but don't expect too much more. I'm here on business and didn't have a better choice.I'm a truck driver. There's an empty dirt lot that can get muddy. It's the only place I can park for this hotel. CAUTION: they will charge extra if you muddy up their rooms.

Breakfast is stale bagels and cups of oatmeal. They never restocked it so get down there right at 6 or you wont have much to pick by 9 am.The pool was closed every day but one and it was ICE COLD, it is winter here so the water was unbearable, felt like the polar plunge. No notice on closure at all.It is on the outskirts of town so unless you want to eat at sickies daily prepare for Uber or having a vehicle. There is cabellas and a Burger bar place walking distance.Probably not gonna stay here again

Beautiful clean rooms, the most comfy beds and sheets ever (I usually bring my own blankets, but I dont have to here!). Constant air fans are fabulous for white noise. Usually have cribs available.Kitchen is great! Full size fridges. Kitchen table too.I would totally live here full time.

omg .. I was so thankful. roll in a midnight with a wreck .. my 18 wheeler was down ....they the rooms was wonderful so thankful for a hot shower and pizza rolls from my truck ... my puppy was welcome .. and when I got up the next morning .. they was waiting with a shuttle for me to take me back to kw .. they have clean washer and dryer and place to eat near by ... .. my room had a partial kitchen... thank you so much .. everyone was wonderful .. from house keeping to front desk .. thank you so much ...Rooms: they were clean and the towels was super niceSafety: yes I did feel safe evern when the light was out because of a wind stormWalkability: they was several good place to eat

My family and I came to stay here during LNI (Lakota Nation Invitational) and we checked in on Tuesday, all was well then, but come Wednesday the elevator broke down. It’s now Saturday night, and the elevator is STILL broken. I’ve called the front desk multiple times about when it will be fixed, no one knows. I’m 32 weeks pregnant high risk with twins having to climb up 3 flights of stairs and it’s HARD. We asked to be moved to another room, but to no avail. Also the wifi has not worked the entire week. Just really disappointed with the stay overall. Wouldn’t stay here again. :(

Three vehicles were broke into on Friday, September 29 in their parking lot. One of the vehicles was mine and they took the 2 rifles that my son and I had planned on using our WY hunting trip. The hotel claims zero responsibility for your vehicle being in their parking lot. They do not have cameras in their parking lot. No one apologized to us until today when I called the manager. He said sorry there is nothing that we will do for you. Stay away from this hotel and do not stop in Rapid City.

Good place for the price. The room we stayed in was showing it's age a bit, but had a cooktop, microwave, dishwasher and full-sized fridge which was pretty cool. Pricing was great. The swimming pool was probably 65 degrees, way to cold to stay in. No hot tub.Nearby activities: Centrally Located

3 stars only because the place seemed clean, but wouldn’t stay again. Pool was closed the first two days and we weren’t informed, even when the employee saw us walking by with our 4 kids in swimsuits they just kept their mouth shut and then when we walked back upfront to ask about it they were gone. Coffee lids didn’t fit the cups, out of the free juice for the breakfast, but you can buy a small bottle for $3, only one electric grill for the entire hotel. Very convenient having a fridge and little kitchen in the room though.

Everything was great experience except for the breakfast. Did not offer anything hot for breakfastSafety: Rapid city isn't a great city especially with all the violence the motel is a good place for kiddos

Room was nice. The main issue was the lack of fresh and clean towels. We asked for extra towels and we’re denied because they simply didn’t have any. With no resolution or no care from the staff we left it is as. When we went for a swim also no towels there. Same situation, alerted the staff told there are no extra towels at all and we were told to use the towels from our room. We felt ignored by the staff and this seemed like a simple fix that they didn’t care about at all.

Stay away. Area hotels were booked so we settled on this. Terrible idea. Pullout couch had huge stain, food in it - (1/4 sandwhich?) , pillows had stains, pots had old food from who knows when, carpet had red stains, (does ANYONE clean at this location?) , window leaked into the room when it stormed. When I went to ask the Front Desk about the issues, the shift managers hid in the back and had the highschool kids talk to me. Never actually came out of the office to speak to me. Only good part - literally off highway 90. Couldn’t wait to leave. Never staying at a Mainstay again.

everything was very clean and very nice. quite place. nice location with a short drive to anywhere you would want to go. logan was very helpful through the check in process. breakfast wasn’t much but it was still enough. pool was clean and so were the rooms.Safety: very safe area not much traffic on the road it’s off of so i felt very safe with my car outside. was able to walk to cabellas too.

We had a great experience with our stay. Towels were an issue, but they made up for it with excellent service. Kay was especially great in the mornings. Our kids even wanted to give her a hug the morning we checked out. The room was comfortable and big enough for our family. The price was reasonable for a suite with kitchen. All around good experience.

This hotel was a knight in shining armor for us after cancelling our stay at a terrifyingly disgusting hotel across town. The price was incredible for a room with a kitchenette, couch, desk, bed, and nicely sized bathroom. The staff was welcoming and the room even smelled clean when we walked in. We could not have asked for better, much less as a last second booking.

Nice room. No coffee maker. Kureig with 2 k cups. Silver ware consists of 2 spoons and 2 forks, unbelievable. Get plastic silverware in breakfast room. Great front desk person. Fantastic hot breakfast. Scrambled eggs, sausage links, waffles, bagels, biscuits and gravy, cereal, milk, juices, cream cheese veggie strawberry and plain toast seating boiled eggs yogurts 24 hour coffee ( that's why no coffee maker in room oatmeal brown sugar. Indoor pool not heated though. Staff was fantastic! Highly recommend. We'd stay again

I booked reservation here as a traveler for work. Reservation was to be for almost two months. When I first spoke to front desk/management, they ensured that rates would be set for extended stay travelers; as that was a concern for me because we were going into "tourist season". Once again, was ensured that rate was set. After about two weeks from moving in, I get a letter under my door that states my rate is increasing by an additional $170/night due to high demand. This was a 4 day notice, of which other extended travelers got as well. Unfortunately, at $230/night; I am unable to afford that (that is before taxes as well). Manager even said "it is what it is." Now I am checking out Friday (before the rate increases) and have no place to stay. Management here does not care about the nurses who traveled to help out at the local hospital. It would be one thing if they told me rates would be increasing. However, they stated it would not, but then continued to do so.

Nice hotel, full size kitchen. Check in was quick and the front desk was helpful (other than Saturday morning we encountered a lady who was less than pleasant). The breakfast area is small for the amount of guests the hotel has, so get there early if you don't want to take the food back to your room. Our room was good sized and clean, except for the fan in the bathroom...it was covered in thick gray dust. The pool is nice but definitely isn't heated. We swam only for a short time, it was uncomfortably cold. Overall, we had a good experience and would stay again.

We had an excellent experience during our stay. The room was clean, neat and up-to-date. Customer service was attentive and polite. The suites are stocked with cooking pots, dishes and silverware - wonderful surprise. It is conveniently located off the interstate. Would make a great place for longer stays where you need extra room and the ability to prepare and store your own food.

I regularly stay at this hotel on a sometimes weekly basis and arrived around 11 PM to check in. The staff said my card was declined. This was impossible because I’d just used the card moments earlier. I asked what options I had as it was 11 PM and freezing cold outside and I didn’t really want to go elsewhere. I offered to pay in cash, use my rewards points, tried to get them to help me prepay the room through the app instead. There were 2 staff members there basically ignoring me and offered no help to allow me to prepay the room or use my points or pay cash. I insisted that the card worked just fine if they could please help me cancel the reservation and instead prepay it through the app. Neither offered any kind of assistance and continued ignoring me while doing paperwork. I was so upset I stood there and actually prepaid a room at a hotel across the street. My card worked just fine. I was appalled that no one offered to assist me to be able to utilize my reservation and instead were just fine with me going across the road to their competitors instead. I’m a diamond rewards member and travel to this hotel often. I will never again stay at this location. When I asked the girl to cancel my reservation because I made one across the street at Comfort Inn via the app with the same exact card, she didn’t even bother to look up and make eye contact and just said, “okay”. Lesson learned. I’ll gladly give my business to a hotel who actually treats customers decently and would actually offer potential solutions rather than ignoring a guest and letting them walk out rather than offering any other solutions on how to pay the reservation when their system was obviously not working.

Hotel is looking a little tired. Room had cracks on the wall and on the ceiling. Paint was missing on the bathroom door, as well as on the entry door. The door stop for the entry door was barely hanging on the wall with a screw. The fan in the bathroom is covered with debris, looking like it hasn’t been cleaned for several months. The pool area smelled like an old used ashtray, and just about every metal surface had some kind of rust. Staff was hardly at the front desk. A lot of time they would stand outside smoking. Checked out at 5:30am only to walk out the front door where the employees had been, to a very potent smell of marijuana. The bright spot were the cleaning staff who were very nice and helpful every time we came across them.

The pans provided are too big for the small electric stove top. It would have been good if they provided more cutlery and crockery instead of 2 each. The WiFi bandwidth was too low to even browse web pages let alone stream something.Very clean rooms with all the required amenities in the kitchen. Friendly staff, good breakfast, beautiful views from the room.

Staff was excellent, especially this young man named Travis. He went above and beyond. Our room was clean and had lots of storage space. The kitchenette came with pots and pan and a few dishes as well as a dishwasher! We would definitely stay again. It was a perfect price for our trip and no necessary extra expenses for really just being there to sleep and get ready and eat at times.
