Tim, Deb, and Maggie are an excellent help. After years of swearing off credit cards due to a shady experience with my last company they set me up with a card and walked me through the process to make sure it would work for me. They answered every question I had and Tim is an absolute gem of a resource for fishing info and picking out just the right gear. I’ve gotten all my best equipment here and everyone at my Rapid City location have always been helpful no matter how many fish stories I bore them with.

One of the smallest Cabela's we've been too yet. Had a challenging time trying to find anyone to help us in footwear. Stood around for about 5 minutes. No buzzer, bell, nada to get an employee's help. Then walk around a few isles waiting but nothing still. My husband finally had to rather loudly repeat "hello?!" several times before an employee noticed us from another department & tried her best to offer assistance but it wasn't her area so she couldn't help much but did offer to radio for more assistance & offer to stay with us until they showed up. Everyone was very friendly & loved our big 135 pound older puppy Dozer. They made us feel very welcome & we appreciated all their help. Not busy when we went during the weekday & parking was good.

I was looking for a new battery for my champion generator that i purchased at Cabelas a few years back. When I walked into the Rapid city store, no one was around. I continued to the back with my battery in hand. I met Brad & said the company doesn't make them. He gave me suggestions on how to modify the cables & use the new type of battery.He took the time to help me try & find a solution. It was greatly appreciated.

We love coming here as a family. My kids love the toy section and checking out the fish tank. The staff are always helpful and friendly. We love going about once a month. Always a great stop at Christmas time and getting a free picture with Santa.

I don't usually review "big-box" stores unless it's negative... but I have to say, the staff here have always been friendly and knowledgeable, and the selection of products is impressive with equal, if not better, pricing. The store has always been organized and clean, and the wait at the checkout lines are short.

I didn't even have to try and hunt Santa down. He hangs out here and offers free pictures with him! Santa took the time to talk and listen to my children, and Santa's staff were so sweet! No lines what so ever, the store was actually pretty empty & quiet. As a parent of a child with autism this was absolutely perfect & so relaxed! Thank you!

Nice store, a bit smaller than most Cabela's. They don't allow overnight parking for travelers. Good service from employees. Would have bought more if they had a campground like others.

I am usually satisfied with customer service. But today while I was at the gun counter waiting to be waited on a couple clerks grab other customers first.Then Hank decided to help me. Hisattitude and demeanor was terrible!!Seemed like it was all he could do to wait on usWe returned a scope instead of lettingHim help us anymore.At least Pam smiled, said hello and acknowledgedme.

Didn't know it was part of bass pro but learn so.ething new every day! Sold out of ski apparel but made do with subbing hunting clothes... staff super helpful and friendly. On the expensive side is probably an understatement. :)

Cabelas is the best! They not only allow overnight parking, they provide a horse corral and dog kennels in case you're traveling with animals you need to get out. There is also an RV dump for only $5. We truly appreciate cabelas and how they help out travelers.

The Holiday experience they do for children and families is beyond amazing ♡ The Christmas wonderland this year is the best thing ever. My daughter is 9 and even my 12 year old nephew appreciated it. I have purchased clothes, ammo and a gun here. Even thrown a Birthday party there before but when there is nothing ever to do here and they do weekly free crafts during the Holiday season it sure sets them aside from the competition.

Lots of sporting goods available for hunters and fishermen. Not really recommended if you're look for outdoor sports like biking and climbing.

I'm usually happy with this place even if the prices are a little high. This visit I asked for a well known popular bullet and was told they not only didn't have it but it didn't exist.I went to Scheels and bought 2 boxes.

We found what I needed pretty fast and they also have a clearance section so you can find cheaper stuff. I found an amazing jacket/sweat shirt their and I still use it today.

I was looking at something online using this store location. Website said the quantity was limited- so I called the store to verify. I spoke with Troy at the customer service desk. Troy took my phone number and said he would go verify. Within five minutes he called me back to say they did have one in stock! Thanks for going above and beyond! Troy is definitely an asset to this store!

We are full time rv'rs and pulled in after closing..loved the fact tbey are RV friendly. Boondocked in parking lot until next morning and was able to shop!

Pretty great, I've had some bad experience here in the past from racist customers in the parking lot, this happened twice, however, the service here is amazing, the staff is friendly and always willing to help find you what you need. The nice staff and environment make up entirely for my bad experience which had nothing to do with the staff or the company. Great place to get your north face or carharrt apperal, hunting and fishing gear, gaming and hiking gear, and little something for those furry friends. A great place to take the kids as well.
