This is a really good store. I have purchased several accessories for tools (Dremel, saw blades, planer blades), had a custom milling chain made, and consistently get good advice from the knowledgeable employees. Honestly, being able to ask someone who actually knows what tools are for and how to use them helps me on a lot of my home repair projects. The staff assisted me in finding the correct faucet parts to rebuild a knob for the bathtub. They were very knowledgeable, patient and friendly. Parking is easy, store is clean and the staff is extremely helpful.

Very helpful staff that will help you find just the right tool/screw/glue or whatever you are looking for. Great central location, but allow time for getting out of their parking lot if you are heading back downtown.

Don't bother believing the employees here. I called and was told they had 3 of the items in stock and I could pick it up right away. I wanted to pay by card over the phone so my son could pick it up. But I was told I had to pay on line through their app. I did, and the $211.00 is already cleared my bank. Now I call the store and I'm told theydon't have the item. Their TV adds say you can have items delivered free from the store, but again I'm told no.

Love this place. They are so helpful and friendly and as a result, make us all feel like we're part of a small town country store. You are almost always greeted with a friendly staff, but there are times when it's hard to find someone free to help you find something. I use Steele products and their service department is wonderful.

Definitely got the small town hardware store feel and the people that work here are pretty knowledgeable, might pay a little more than the big box stores sometimes but it's worth it to support a business that carries products they back and has employees that know what they are talking about.

I’ve visited this store many times and had good experiences with both their selection and employees. This last time I visited I was blown away. I purchased a trampoline some time ago but was not sent the correct legs. After lots of effort with no solutions online I went to Ace. I asked Mike if he could give me a hand in finding a solution. All in all, he spent 15-20 minutes working diligently to help me find an adequate solution. This location is great, their prices are fair and their employees are above par.

Each of the departments I asked assistance from performed beyond my expectations .With the price of wood at Menards becoming much more reasonable, I took advantage of sale prices.At every corner, Menards representatives helped me understand the various parts of my home improvement project better than I had . From financing ( Big Card ) cash back and rebate, I saved a great deal of money and time. They setup delivery also.Truly a pleasure

Very friendly and helpful. They handled a warranty replacement on a Craftsman hand tool that I purchased at Sears before it closed with no issues. This wasn't the first time I've been here and had people go above and beyond to offer expertise and help when I've needed it. The only con to this place is trying to get into the parking lot with the weird intersection and traffic flow.

The people that work here are so nice. It's partly why I go to this one the most out of the 2 in town. Service is fantastic and they carry a variety of things. From paint to plumbing to miscelaneous things you don't need :)

The staff at this Ace Hardware is helpful. I was looking for a particular part to hookup the water line to my fridge, and was instantly led to the right item, which was handed to me. The hardest thing about this store is getting into the parking lot as you travel eastward.After having lived in Rapid City for over a year and a half, I can say I still stop in this Ace Hardware before I go anywhere else. The staff is pleasant and able to point you in the right direction. They have most all the items I need, other than things like major appliances and lumber. I've purchased paint, plumbing, electrical items, garage tools and household items like water softener salt, snowmelt and even propane tank refills. I've had good results at this Ace and recommend them.

This retailer is easily visible and accessible from the streets it sits on. The store is clean and well organized. Each department is easy to find with overhead signage. This hardware store carries quality merchandise at affordable prices and stands behind the products they sell. They are a great attribute to the city.
