This place is expensive and most of all with the crazy prices there charging they need to fix the roof that leaks everywhere to me that's a safety Hazzard and this place should be reliable to have a clean store not one that rains inside .. come on this is straight ridiculous and what because it's on the reservation it doesn't need fixed were all humans make it happen and fix the dang roof

Lousy selection, empty shelves. Moldy bread. Bate and switch on sale items specifically sunny d. Several flavors only one of which will ring up at sale price.....awful pricing. Screams of a payoff to get the rights to sell groceries on the rez. This is not a reflection of the people that work here but the people they work for. The employees are courteous and helpful to all that enter.

I bought chicken from Chester's Chicken on several occasions. At least twice, I picked up my order and drove 26 miles back home to Porcupine. I opened up the box to find out that it wasn't what I ordered and paid for. I suggest you check your order before you leave the store.In terms of the hardware section. I wish they had consistent hours, I went there twice within the last month. The hardware section was closed at 6pm even though the website said they would be open until 8pm. Maybe there's was a legitimate reason for that. All I know is I drove 45 miles round trip for nothing. What I will do in the future is call ahead to make sure that the hardware section is open.

The prices listed are not the same as what is charged at the register. This has been my experience for at least 6 months now. For example, hot dogs that are advertised as $1.75 per 12 oz pckg. are $2.19 at the register.

Very clean! Employees everywhere all are nice and helpful! Love the Lakota on the signs as well! They had what I needed and also have a good chicken place to eat at! Glad they improved this grocery store!

The floors were very dirty, I didn't see any employee sanitizing the carts, that's left up to the customer, the lines were way too long and service was really rude. The check out area is way to congested and the produce prices are way too over priced. I'm not even sure there were any rest rooms available there are no signs for this. Overall I did not like my experience at this store ☹️

I used to enjoy shopping here, but that has changed since they really started with the price gouging. Lettuce used to be cheap, now they are charging $5 for one head!! Cheese is also over $5. It has gotten ridiculous. I will be finding another place to shop.

Had heard about the closure of the old Sioux Nation Supermarket almost 2 years ago now (where does the time go?). This store with it's groceries, hardware, mementos, gifts, and much more is now Buche Foods, the Oglala Lakota Sioux Tribe awarding operations to them. In decades past this store has been smack in the middle of a food desert... and Pine Ridge is certainly an epitome of such a food desert. High prices due to the lack of sales numbers overall along with added transportation costs, understandable but a real hardship on the People.Good news was that the majority of the 80 workers at the Sioux Nation Supermarket were able to keep their jobs. That news actually relieved my heart, this store going back 3 decades in my experiences among the People. So far as being expensive, am suggesting allowing the store's sales to come around to you, stocking up on them, and one can do okay. Best wishes for all in this, you deserve the change. May it remain a good one... and, from all indications, it will.
