My puppy arrived from Katherine Andrews a few weeks ago, and I couldn't be happier!!! He adjusted really easily to my home, including my 2 crazy loud kids. Nothing seems to phase this guy - the vacuum, the piano, or squirrels in the backyard. He is very laid back and very sweet. While we were waiting for him to be old enough to come home, Katherine sent weekly photos and videos so that we could watch him grow up. She even connected me with a "flight nanny" who brought him from South Dakota to our home in California. THANK YOU KATHERINE! We love our new puppy!

I don't have a lot of experience with this company, but I was under the impression training would be in Rapid as "they have facilities in both locations". But when I called to verify date and location I was told it would be in Philip. I agreed to come check out their facility and see how they operated. I wasn't completely on board but I wanted to get my dog trained so I agreed to continue training, paying $500 towards the bill. My life is busy and hectic so I called to cancel the training as it's a long drive ever other week or so and I said I'd go ahead and pay for this collar they gave me. It's a $70 prong collar at best, but I only got $150 back, so it cost me $350 plus fuel and a few hours to check them out, be "given" a collar and then decide it wasn't for me. They said there is no refund once training starts but we hadn't started training. Infact, my dog was already passed their basic level of training. I don't know if they are great or not, but my experience is sub par as I am a disabled vet, have a dog I want trained for service and protection and have to do it with limited budget. Again, not discrediting their work, just my experience wasn't great and I'm disappointed.

We got our precious Frug from Katherine a couple of weeks ago. Katherine was professional and kind in all our transactions. Her true dedication to breeding in evident in how well socializing our pup to people and animals. He gets along great with our 11 year old pug. I think he will add quality life to our pug and to us. We are so delighted to have this inquisitive, playful and smart little guy in our home. Thank you Katherine for given him a great start to life.

I sent my German Shephard to Animal Psychology Center in June; he spent five weeks there, and cost over $5,000. I thought this was extremely expensive but I was desperate to help my dog and when I originally spoke to Kathrine I explained the issues I was having with my dog and how much I would like to help him because it had become problematic for me and I really loved my dog and hoped to get him the help he needed. She assured me she specialized in my dogs’ specific issues and that she could help. My dog was aggressive towards other dogs and had severe separation anxiety. While there, she suggested that I have him neutered to help him calm him down and make him less aggressive, while hesitant I complied. The day I went to pick him up, he was great, extremely calm and seemed to do well around the other dogs. She showed me how to handle him and I took what she taught me home. He did well for about two weeks then right back to how he was before I dropped him off. I contacted her and she explained to me what I need to do with him. I tried all her suggestions. No luck. So I took him back to her for a refresher course, along with my parents as they were having issues with him also when watching him for me. He was acting up in front of her and she showed us what to do. It worked while there. Again I bring him home and back to the dog he was before I sent him. I contacted her once again and she told me that it’s best to get rid of him because our personalities we will never match and he'll never behave for me. Not only did I spend all that money for no improvement I now have a neutered dog that I obviously cannot breed to help compensate any of that lost money. The only suggestion she had for his anxiety was to give him Trazadone, which she used while he was there, instead of fixing the actual problem. His lack of training has nothing to do with our personalities; he does not behave well for anyone else either despite my showing them the training techniques she went over with me. For this amount of money I should have a brand new, well behaved dog. Sadly, I do not.

I got my frenchie pug puppy, FeniQs, from Katherine and he is a golden boy! He is highly trainable, attentive and eager to please. So far he's had no accidents and no overnight accidents he's a very fast learner and plays great with our older dogs. He's not afraid of loud sounds or shocked by the weather or other dogs. He's a HUGE love bug! He even waits on my move before he moves and can already walk on a leash the proper way. Katherine and her team are extremely responsive and responsible and super loving and caring about her animals and her passion. If you are choosing to buy a pet that's highly trainable then Katherine's animals at the Animal Psychology Center are a certain success!! Give her a call or text she's very responsive and will answer any questions. She offers reliable help with transporting your pet as well so no distance is too far.

We picked up our little Princess four years ago today Sept. 27, 2015 from Katherine. She is the love of our home, always ready to play, make feel welcome when we come home. She is a full fledged service dog, Thanks to Katherine. We have taken her to hospitals, and always brings a smile to patients, as she is lavish with her cuddles, to anybody who will let her sit on there lap. The parents of Princess are truly are of exceptional breed. I can't say enough about her, as she adds to making our house a warm and wonderful home. Thanks you so much for your time, and producing an exceptional dog!!!!

Our German Shepard although very loving was out of control with other dogs and children. When we first met Kathrine i was skeptical because she had no formal degree as our vet had indicated. We were at our wits end though and since we had traveled 250 miles we gave it a shot. BEST DECISION WE EVER MADE! Shadow had actually bit another dog when he got loose. Now he looks for other dogs to play with. Katherine had done a complete turn around with Shadow and us human types found out we didn't know what we were doing either. She truly is a dog whisperer. The weather was pretty bad while we were there and she tried her best to find indoor places to work with him also. We even went to the dog park in Rapid City and Shadow had a blast. This was unthinkable the week before we arrived. Katherine has an assistant named Consuelo who was awesome too. She is small framed and that helped with Shadow getting used to younger people. Shadow actually let a 2 year old girl pet him now which really made us smile. 2 weeks before he was barking and growling at her. Thank you very much Katherine and Consuelo for helping us realize that Shadow can be a happy and healthy part of the family.Tim, Lori, and ShadowBismarck, ND

Katherine has saved our dog. When we brought him home from the Humane Society, we found that he had many issues. We tried everything we could to calm him but nobody could work with him. As a last resort I Googled dog Whisperer and Animal Psychology came up. We took the chance and he has become a wonderful dog. He still has problems but Katherine works with him periodically. He is now 4 years old and is a major part of our family. We also adopted one of her Teddy Bear puppies and now both dogs are getting along and we have Katherine to thank.

I can't describe how happy I was with Katherine's Service Animal Psychology Center. She helped find and train our Dakota two years ago and its been a love affair with this dog ever since. He is half collie and half golden retriever. The things she taught him like coming to us, walking and behaving in a restaurant (he's our service dog), he still does to this day. He's been an excellent ambassador of "his people." When we give him permission he greets the many people who stop to admire him. He sits politely and shows that he loves to have his chest rubbed. Katherine was so insightful with him and with training us. I owe her a debt of gratitude that can never be repaid. Even to the part of bringing our dog to us via plane. Love that woman!

We have found Katherine at Animal Psychology Center to be truly excellent. Over the last two years, her training of our dog has proven extremely valuable. She has a special gift related to working with difficult dogs. Our dog was very strong-willed and required a firm but kind trainer. She used her skills and expertise to tailor the training to match the personality of a dog.All the training manual's suggestions proved worthless in helping our dog. Katherine was able to discover ways to help our dog become well-mannered and a great pet.

We reached out to Katherine to help us with Fergus our one year old Old English Sheepdog. Although a little hesitate that Fergus may have to leave us and go into pack therapy it was the best decision we made in regards to get training for him. Katherine pegged Fergus and his behavior within two minutes of meeting him. He was a bully and constantly shoving his way in between us and our other two OES. Fergus was with Katherine for three weeks. While there he learned how to live and interact better with other animals. Since Fergus has been home although he tests us now and then, Katherine has given us the tools on how to deal with his behavior and he is a much better behaved and adjusted dog. I am so thankful to Katherine for her knowledge and talent to work with animals that have issues. She is great at keeping in touch and communicating progress updates. I would without hesitation recommend her if your pet has behavior issues.

I am so happy we found Katherine to train our Great Dane! She did a fantastic job. She worked with us one on one in order to ensure we completed all the training and was available every time I set up a session. She was thorough and gave us all the tools in order to be successful as a therapy team. We would definitely recommend her for any of your animal training requirements!

We would like to thank Katherine Andrews for her help with our boxer dog, Chester. We got Chester as a puppy and the first couple of years he was a wild man! He was great around the house, but we travel and when we would walk with him while traveling he would be aggressive with other dogs. The second winter we found ourselves stressed out and arguing about what to do.Finally, we came to the conclusion that we needed help from someone who knew more than we did about training dogs. We found Katherine’s website and it sounded promising. I called, we discussed the problem, she gave me a couple of things we could do until we got home and scheduled a meeting with Chester shortly after we got home.Basically, the problem we were having was Chester not being socialized as a puppy. We never realized the importance of your dog learning to get along with other dogs when they are young. Katherine worked with Chester and us (we learned that the human is usually the problem in the first place) and we began a program to help Chester learn to get along.Today, a couple years down the road, we are all happier, including Chester. We are glad we found Katherine Andrews and would recommend her to others. She seemed to be a knowledgeable professional who is technique oriented and cares about helping the animals and people she works with.Tim & Cheryl TaylorRapid City, SD

Katherine provides excellent training & care for our Rough Coat Collie, Copper Rose. I recommend her as she is very professional, knowledgable, and skilled in working with Copper. She also helps us, as owners, so that we can train Copper to be well-adjusted & happy.Copper is part of our family, and we would not let anyone work with her unless we are sure that Copper is in a healthy environment & safe. When we are on vacation, Copper stays with Catherine at Animal Psychology Center. Copper receives extra training as needed as well as socialization with other dogs in a secure setting.Five stars is my rating based on our very positive experiences with Catherine & Animal Psychology Center.

After months of research my husband and I decided to adopted our wonderful little miniature golden retriever from Animal Psychology Center. She is the sweetest puppy we have ever had and seen! She is only 5 months old and is as calm as our 4 year old Golden. Everywhere we go people always ask us where we got her from because they instantly fall in love with her.We are also training her to be a pheasant hunting dog and is even more of a natural than out other Golden Retrievers that were bread for hunting.I highly recommend Animal Psychology Center as she clearly cares for and loves all of her pets. She breeds for temperament and not for looks (although our puppy is beautiful in stature) and this created a wonderful well tempered dog.

I do not believe this woman is a pet psychologist as the puppy we bought from her had behavioral problems from day 1 that I am having to fix. I personally think she just gets the dogs & then sells them for a profit.
