Honestly, everything was fine. There were a couple of odd bathroom or room things; AC wouldn't just blow fan, that was odd, and there weren't enough lights in the room, but otherwise clean and up to standard. The building has a quaint and peaceful feel. I liked it.Overall a good spot. Would stay again.Nearby activities: The park at Dakota Dunes is a nice peaceful place to clear your head. You can also walk through the forest to a sort of 3-corners point between South Dakota, Iowa, and Nebraska, on the South Dakota side.

There is nobody ever at the front desk. You always have to wait for someone. I was accused of taking a pillow. There are security cameras- she could have verified I never took a pillow. I'm a diamond member and have stayed multiple places. I would never take anything. I have a whole house of things- why would I want a used pillow. She didn't even try to listen to me. The cleaning people could have forgot a pillow or maybe another guest took a pillow.. she leaves the doors open. She charged me $100 for a pillow I never took. I have never in my life been so disrespected. I have spent alot of money with Wyndahm.. and to be treated so poorly. I want everyone to know how rude and unprofessional the staff is. I haven't stayed at another Wyndham motel since and I won't give them another dime of my money.

Pros:Very quiet motel and surrounding area. Room and common areas were clean and kept up. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Large TV. Fridge and microwave were clean and in working order. Towels and linens were in good condition. Ice machine worked. Felt safe at this hotel.Cons:Parking lot entrance/exit areas were not cleared well. Had to wait for staff to arrive at desk in order to check-in. (About five minutes.) Not enough towels and amenities for 2 Queens. Had to explain why I needed more towels. Strong/greasy cooking smells starting at 7:30am. Hallway of the smoking rooms inundated with the smell. (Manager insisted this was a non-smoking hotel. Come on.) Water not hot enough.Felt I was staying in the home of someone who was suspicious of me; yet grudgingly let me stay...Will not book here again.

Fabulous room... Very clean. Location was good but, not many choices of evening eating places close . Price was very fair. We will come here again if we are in the area...Noteworthy details: Tv channels were challenging but new guides are being out real soon we were told... Thank you for having Bibles in the room...

Staff are pleasant... management never at front desk. Beds were comfortable, but rooms were very aged & worn. For $75 + per night, could be much better.Front door so hard to pull open, several people were injured, as was I. When staff was told, just said "ok".Will be contacting Wyndham, as they are not keeping up the standards that I have known for decades. Sad.

Aged motel, front desk clerk was rude at check- in. We were quoted $25 more for the room than posted on Expedia and they would not honor military rate. When we pointed this out, the clerk said Well, book online then but I can give you a nice room. Like the Expedia rooms were not nice? The lobby stunk, carpet was gross and breakfast was extremely limited. We found what looked like mouse poop in our bathroom and the room smelled of mildew. Bed was comfortable but we have found bites all over us and have been itching all day. We would never stay there again.

As a truck driver I try and find the cheapest hotel if I am going to stay in one. Beds were comfy and clean enough to satisfy my needs. Go on if your going to talk about aged because if you want "not aged" you will be spending over 200 bux. There was a fridge, microwave, and the HVAC unit kept the room at a cozy temp. A friendly bar next door. Was a nice stay.

Room was very clean! No bugs! I checked! Clean bathroom, beds and overall! The outside needs alot of TLC. I called to make a reservation. They were super nice. Got here called using phone at front desk since we didn't check in til after 12am. Man was very nice. Shower was hot at night and in am! The beds were so comfortable! Breakfast was waffles, muffin, cereal, toast, juice and more! It was all very good! Would stay again!❤️

We were there for 10 minutes. Reserved the room on Priceline. Checked in. We ordered a non smoking room. There were ashes all over the table. Cigarette burns in the bed sheet. Stuff all over the walls. Hair on the towels. Mold in the shower. The room looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. Asked for a clean room they refused. They also refused to refund us. I’ll be pursuing this further and even with legal action if I need to. This was the nastiest hotel I have ever walked in to. When I asked for a clean room the lady told me I was being too picky. Like you must be joking... I didn’t know asking for routine cleanliness was being picky.

This hotel definitely needs some updates. The smell of bleach was very strong in our room and everywhere else had a heavy air freshener smell. The guy at checkin was very friendly. The carpet was old and the rooms could use some deep cleaning. Bathroom was dirty in the corners and all the towels had some sort of stain on them. Not the best place to stay but I got the room for free with hotel points so I can’t complain too much. They have chocolate covered mini donuts, pre packaged- blueberry muffins, activea yogurt, a couple choices of cereal for breakfast. It was ok for a quick bite to eat before we headed out.

While the place was fairly clean and the bed good for sleeping, this hotel is run down looking and in dire need of updating. I was surprised since it was a Wyndham property. Breakfast was adequate. They say they are pet friendly but if you have a dog, even a service dog, you must stay in a smoking room. Probably won't stay there again.

My friend & I stayed one night & will NEVER go back nor recommend this place to anyone!! Our room was very outdated & had a musty cigarette oder. The toilet was in desperate need of a toilet brush! The shower head was ancient & very corroded with almost zero water pressure. We were given one bar of soap which I guess we were supposed to move back & forth from the sink to the shower?? Ten minutes after checking out a woman calls telling us that we're going to be charged $45 because we "messed up the towels". She said we stained a washcloth, hand towel & a bath towel. I explained that we cleaned up some spiled coffee & she told me that "we should have called the front desk because towels are for showering, not for cleaning up coffee". I have never heard of such stupidity! I said "don't you bleach them anyway?" & she said they did not which grossed us out even more since I thought that was a covid requirement. I WILL be disputing this $45 charge for these USED towels with my CC company. WTH!!

This is a pretty good hotel! The beds were comfortable, the pillows were not! The room was fairly large. There is a decent continental breakfast. They accept pets, the pet fee is $15. Mini refrigerator, microwave, safe and coffee pot in each room.

Definitely a decent deal for Sioux City area. Typical Super 8 rooms, fridge, microwave, some rooms updated, other rooms are not. Owners/franchisee family persons appear to be on-site at all times, are active and friendly. Parking lot is small & can get crowded, but easy enough to maneuver around in. North and South fire exits do not require credentials for entering, which is a negative mark, but rooms have newer functional card key access. Several unimpressive/restaurant casinos within 1 mile, and convenience stores/gas. Only decent grocery is 2+ miles distance. But overall a good stay for not much money.

It was mostly clean, but old, and the desk lady was kind of accusatory towards me (must you assume I'm trying to scam a free guest or late check out?). All in all it was alright for the price. Breakfast was basically cereal, waffles, coffee, and juice. I went to zorts nearby for better breakfast. Also, the plumbing for the shower must be backwards, so if you want hot water, you have to sacrifice water pressure (not very hot either)

I was going to rate this 5 for the nice guy at the counter last night and the decent room we got until 7 am this morning. When we checked in last night at 11 pm the very kind man behind the counter told us he would not charge us for our dog even though we kept saying we'd pay the fee and told us we could have extended check out til noon the next day. At 7 am on the dot this morning even with a do not disturb sign on the door a lady came knocking on the door and informed us she was charging us the pet fee despite what we were told the night before and we had to be out by 11 today. I wish all the employees were on the same page and didn't disturb guests very early in the morning especially with a do not disturb sign on the door. I would have rather paid the fee last night like I intended and not been bothered this morning. The room was nice and the gentleman behind the counter was nice last night was nice.

The place is a dump! Don’t stay here!! Sleep in your car! The smell in the hallways will gag you. The smell in our room is horrible! Don’t stay here! Very obvious mold on the shower ceiling. Expedia said they were pet friendly…BS! Charged us above and beyond what we agreed to with Expedia! By the way, Expedia sucks too! Avoid this Super 8! Don’t stay here!!

Rooms are really nice compared to others around the area, the staff was very helpful in directions and local places to eat, the lobby and hallways were very clean, I liked that there was a coin washer and dryer available for guests if needed, and vending machines that were stocked. Breakfast was fully stocked and there was waffles and syrup! Will be coming back again if were ever that way again.

Very comfortable room. Mini fridge and microwave included. Immaculately clean. Bathroom could use an update, but was clean and functional, and despite what another reviewer said, the shower had plenty of water pressure with plenty of hot water. Great rate, great value, definitely would stay here again. Close to freeway with several convenience stores and a few restaurants nearby. Would recommend to friends.

I’m an active duty service member relocating my family across the country. We have a cat, and chose this hotel based on its “pet friendly” rating. Scheduled a reservation, and called the day before to ensure the hotel was aware that we had a cat. We were initially told “no cats allowed... actually, there’s a $40 charge for cats (dogs are $20).”The following morning (the day of our reservation), I called the front desk again to re confirm this information, and was again told “yes, we don’t normally accept cats. We charge more for cats, because we normally only accept dogs for $20.” I questioned the employee on this protocol, and he then backtracked and said “actually, I’ll just cancel your reservation. No cats allowed. I’ll just stick with our policy.”This is a DOG friendly hotel, not “pet friendly.” What was with this extra charge, if no other pets are allowed? An under the table deal? Seems like a scam either run by the front desk employees, or accepted by the company. Happy to be taking my business elsewhere, though it is certainly an inconvenience.

My kids and I were looking for a hotel at midnight after picking up my husband from driving semi. We were amazed by the pet deposit! Very reasonable on room prices too. The mattresses were brand new and management was amazing! We will stay again in the future. People will say it's run down. Considering how old the building is, it's a good shape in my opinion. My kids and dog enjoyed being there as well, so that's a HUGE positive in my book 😊

Staff was friendly and welcoming. The air conditioner in the room was malfunctioning, but the gentleman at the front desk had it fixed right away. We got a great deal on Expedia and paid 130 for 2 clean rooms. Beds were fairly comfortable.
