Just moved to Sioux City Iowa last week. My girlfriend was recommended to come try this spot out. We came here for the first time and it was decent. The place is decorated well and have a nice atmosphere. However, the service was very lackadaisical. No greeting or excitement walking in. Didn’t ask us if we’ve ever been there before or recommend anything even after we stated aloud we had never been. We asked for an iced green tea and the employee stated. “Sorry only hot”. Is it too much trouble to make it hot and put it on ice? This place has a lot of potential but not living up to the hype. Need better customer service. I’ve coffee was alright.

It was my first time visiting and seemed like a nice place to get a couple of breakfast tacos and a hot cocoa. They were out of a few things and one of the machines wasn't working, which was disappointing. They also somehow forgot about our breakfast taco order and we had to wait quite a bit. Also they didn't mention that they have avocado on their tacos which is kind of important to me since I'm severely allergic to it.But overall it was a good experience.

Super good coffee and food. It can be as cheap as you'd like or a full size breakfast if you want. We opted for lattes, a quiche (little pricy for what you get), and a giant breakfast burrito (be hungry before you get this monster) with homemade hot sauce. Both were good and the burrito was one of the best I've ever had. Definitely a good place to stop if your in the area.They also had brunch options and some beer and wine for later in the day.

We really enjoyed eating here for breakfast! I had an açaí bowl sans bananas due to an allergy and they were very accommodating, and it was really delicious. My husband had the brekkie which had hams, egg, bacon and cheese in a bubble waffle which was pretty good. Their coffee was excellent as well! I just wish this was in a better location to be able to go to more often when we visit Sioux City.

Food was delicious and service was great. Got a breakfast burrito and high ground acai bowl and finished both! Surprisingly finished both and really liked the hot sauce. Sweet and spicy but not too spicy. Also grabbed some energy drinks and flatbreads to go for friend and wife and they were happy!

I went the first time on Thursday the 22 in the afternoon. It was somewhat busy for the time but the gal at the counter did her job and never seemed panicked. The team quickly got our orders out mich faster than I anticipated. I had a berry bowl which proved to be amazing. I highly recommend checking this lovely place out. They have great service and excellent food.

I had the breakfast burrito and a coffee, at first I wasn’t too impressed by the presentation however the taste makes up for it! The hot sauce is amazing. I highly recommend this place!

High Ground came to our office for catered drinks for a few hours. The coffee was fantastic!! The servers were super friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be visiting the store front as well! I was able to try the Lavendar Lemonade (GREAT) and their Iced Coffee with sugarfree vanilla syrup.

Extremely friendly staff who clearly love their jobs. Very knowledgeable about coffee and willing to explain tasting notes and growing regions. The nitro cold brew was great and the breakfast sammie hit the spot on a long drive so much so I forgot to take a picture of it! Great outdoor patio as well.

I came in to try them out because my staff loves it. I stood at the counter for 10 minutes and wasn't even acknowledged. They had two cars in the drive thru and four people inside. I walk in with nothing and walked out with nothing. I will not be going back.

Okay. Breakfast tacos are amazing. I would get these every single day. The spicy hot sauce is very very good. There’s a sweet and spicy twist to it. I would buy a bottle if they sold it. Breakfast burrito was very big, I could not finish it myself. Flavor was good. I got an iced vanilla latte that was decent, but too expensive if you ask me.

So we come pretty normally. And it’s one of my favorite places to go and today I come in and get the Sammy which is obviously fantastic and my açaí bowl, also wonderful. However, the man who took my order gave me two different sizes for “large” and when I ask about the difference in size I get told they’re large…. He was pretty rude and not like the normal girls who always make this place home

Loved hanging out here. Coffee was great but I absolutely loved the Avocado Sammy, a little small but still delicious. Everyone was super nice and friendly. Got to taste test their pretzel bites (more like bagel bites) but either way they were amazing too! There's also a corner full of small business products. Keep up the great work!

I really wish they’d be more consistent with their drinks. We usually get there weekly, and always order 4 breakfast Sammie’s, and 2 sea salt carmel frappes, not too sweet. The Sammie’s are always good. The drinks however, I’m never sure what I’ll get. With the prices being what they are there, as well as a 25 min wait for to go, I just wish it was consistent. Today, it really tasted like ice with a hint of coffee. I had to bring them both home and add Carmel syrup to make them even remotely enjoyable. We love Highground, but just expect more for the price and the longer wait times.

Was on a journey for food and was quite thankful for running into this place! With the many coffee options available on the menu, I ordered a vanilla miel (honey with a dash of cinnamon) and a brekkie which was a puffy waffle with eggs, ham, bacon, and an avocado spread. It was great! Very satisfying and the coffee was great! All coffee snobs welcome you will not be disappointed! Such a gem in a very unlikely place stop by and say hello to the owner he is a very sweet guy!

Something off about the breakfast burrito… The amount of eggs in the burrito make it huge, which would be fine if the eggs had more flavor. Not much sausage or bacon throughout the burrito because the large amount of eggs. Also it was served with a sweet chili hot sauce? (weird choice) that failed to compliment the burrito well :(Coffee was good.
