April 1st a snow storm chased us off the interstate. We stopped in just before they were closing. They reopened the restaurant and allowed snowed in travelers, a safe haven and a wonderful meal with great service. The hot beef sandwich was great and the gravy was amazing. My coffee was fresh. Thank you so much to the wonderful staff that made our random stay feel like a cozy winter cabin meal, and putting your lives on hold just to help others.

A really fun stop on our trip! This diner seems to be in the middle of the south Dakota plains. The food was alright, but it was the staff that made our experience. Kevin spent about 20mi a trying to pitch us on the museum and just chitchatting with us while being absolutely hilarious. The staff make you feel welcomed, and provide a wonder experience

Some of the best midwestern food I've ever had. I had the Hot Hamburger and the Mashed potatoes and their veggies, and it was AMAZING. The other person ordered the buffalo burger and we couldn't have been more satisfied. The coffee was actually good, not watered down. This place is AMAZING and I think they deserve your business! SO GOOD.

Great place, been coming in here for years. Last year it was taken over by new management and they are awesome. The waitresses are the best, but watch out for the locals, haha.

These guys are AMAZING! If you are a fellow trucker I 100% recommend this place! Meals are more than worth what you pay!! So so good and filling! Coffee is always on!! Eggs were PERFECT!!!!!! Walk over from the pilot!!!

Nice clean little Cafe. We were even greeted by patrons when we came in! The waitress was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent!

I am super picky when it comes to food with flavor and quality, I had the cheese curds, Buffalo burger, fries, and homeade cherry cobbler for dessert. Everything was absolutely amazing. And my server was so kind! Deserves way more then 5 stars

First off. Very welcoming. Walked in and didn't know they were 1 minute from closing and they served us anyways. Talked with the locals and the lady serving was really nice and helpful. Great food too! Reuben sandwich was really good.

I got the Buffalo Burger and fries. $13.75 at time of our visit. It was not good. Poor service also, no offer of a refill on our water. A one and done for us.

Closed on Thanksgiving. These birds had to seat themselves on the patio Thanksgiving morning.I highly recommend this place for the entertainment -- even when they're closed.

Breakfast was over by the time we arrived minutes after 1100. Lunch food was no good. I had a bacon burger comparable to a McDonald's hamburger patty, patty melt was on white bread and onions that weren't cooked with a yellow cheese, Indian taco fry bread not so great, meat melt had 3 pieces of budding like meat and 3 pieces of bacon although didn't taste bad needs more meat. All in all, unimpressed with lunch menu but hear their breakfast is good if you get there early enough.

Just a small town diner and that's fine. If your looking for gourmet fine dining move along but if you want to eat where the locals do than this is the place for you. Grate grill cheese and frys and you can find all the staples of midwest living. To often when traveling we will eat fast food and here there is a chance to sit down and enjoy a simple meal. What a refreshing brake from the hwy.

Disappointed in the menu choices. Sounds like they just shortened their menu because of staffing issues, which is too bad. Taco salad was good. The tortilla they used waa nice and flaky.

The service from odette was completely unacceptable.. She may have lied about her name but it was the older ladyThis Saturday morning may 27th 10:15 am to 11:04 am. I had been waiting for my food for 45 minutes And when I politely asked she canceled my order.. It's a good thing I told her I was just asking cause that's how I found out she canceled my order.. That was very rude. Then when the cook put my order at the window she made me wait for 5 minutes while she chitchatted personal conversation with another customer.. And she behaved really defensive like she has done this before this is obviously not her field of expertise.

Run by extremely kind and concerned people, staff is caring and considerate. If you are a regular, they will have your table and favorites ready when they see your car arrive. Fabulous memories for your favorites. Best french fries in the world! The Covered Wagon is a perfect place to relax and enjoy.

My husband and I stopped here simply because it was near the hotel we stayed at the previous night (4/19/22) I’m very glad we did! Excellent service and entertaining as well! It seemed like most of the other customers were locals in this small town, but we felt completely at home. Our server/waitress (the only one) was amazing. The food was good and so are the prices. I highly recommend.

I just stopped in on my drive back to Kansas City and it was a cute little place! there were a couple of younger gals in there and a gentleman who were extremely friendly. I ordered something very simple, a grilled cheese with tomato and fries and a cup of their homemade chili and I had let them know I was in a bit of a rush and the food came out super fast and was perfect. I always get my fries extra crispy and nobody ever does it right but these were awesome. My waitress took very very good care of me and was super attentive… Afterwards I got some ice cream and it was yummy as well. Thank you for the great customer service!

Burger that I had was terrible and crusty. The fries were good. Mozzarella sticks mid. I could get better service at a cemetery. I left less hungry but full of rage. Every step of the dining experience was terrible. Do not eat here. Terrible service.
