This was the perfect stop on our drive out west. The man working the front desk was incredibly kind and helpful, which is great for when you arrive after a long drive. Our room smelled and looked very clean when we entered too. The bathrooms are small and a little outdated, but let’s be real, this is a motel on the side of the highway, not a 5 ⭐️ hotel. It was absolutely worth it for the money and I’d be happy to stay here again. It’s across the street from another motel, which had ZERO cars there and the parking lot for the BW had almost a dozen for a random Tuesday night… that tells you that people trust and prefer this motel over others in the area. They had a good hot breakfast (eggs, sausage, toast, biscuits and gravy) and options for a cold breakfast too - this was really unexpected and was nice.We had dogs with us and it was a flat $25/night for the dogs, which is great compared to other hotels. It’s a motel too, which means you access each room from the outside, so it was perfect for letting the dogs in and out. We also couldn’t hear our neighbors or have people above or below us, so the dogs didn’t bark at anything (which can be a challenge in classic hotels where there’s a lot of noise).Highly recommend as a good place to stay as you’re traveling across South Dakota!

Eh, the rooms are average. Good enough I guess but I did not like the electronic check in process. No one appears to physically work the front desk. It takes the hospitality out of the hospitality business. It may be an unsafe location. I was hoping to get some coffee a little before 6:00 a.m. and the lobby door was locked with a sign that read something like "Door is locked for safety..."

I was another victim of the Christmas Blizzard and was fortunate to be find this Best Western. Traveling with my mom’s 3 (service)cats in her move from WA to GA, finding accommodation wasn’t always easy. But coming across this Best Western was such a relief. Both of our rooms were immaculate, cozy, and comfortable. They also served breakfast. The really amazing thing about this Best Western was the people. We came in on Christmas Eve. In this small town everything closed early. On Christmas morning, Dave made sure he let us know we could take as much breakfast back to our rooms as we needed/wanted to get us through the rest of our day there. They always made sure we had anything we needed and were comfortable. Every member of the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They are doing a great job!

The wall heater/air conditioner unit is very loud. There is enough space to use a knee scooter in the accessible room, but it is more cramped than other accessible rooms we have stayed in the last 38 days since I had ankle surgery. This is an older motor court hotel with no interior halls. There is no parking spot by the ramp to the accessible room. If there were snow and ice I think access to accessible room would be difficult and possibly dangerous. Negotiating a knee scooter to the bath tub looked difficult or impossible. I did not attempt it. We traveled with our dog and cat and were returning home after surgery out of stateRooms: The room was quiet, clean and the bed was good. However, it is a bit cramped. Furniture is old and heavy but in good repair. There is a wall unit heater/air conditioner that is quite loud. There is no road noise. There is no handicapped parking and no parking space at all near ramp to accessible room. Lobby was dingy, dark with a video check in. Breakfast was sub par. dry cereal Toaster but no bread or bagels. Individually wrapped muffins.Safety: Murdo is a small town. This appears to be in a safe area. There are no hidden areas in or around the hotel

My husband and I were stranded due to weather and had to get a place to stay quickly. The staff were extremely kind, and very helpful. Our room was cozy and I was so grateful and relieved at how clean and fresh it was. I would definitely stay here again!

Got stranded due to the weather on a holiday trip to the area. The staff made sure we were well cared for throughout our 2-day stay! The rooms were sparking clean, breakfast was hot and Murdo was a friendly little town.Additionally, they extended a small holiday discount to all guests checking in due to the bad weather which was a nice added touch! Would highly recommend to everyone.

So much for human interaction. You check in through a kiosk that's likely training fake intelligence to take a human's job. Not one human employee on site.

Positive...the room was clean. Negative...this is not a $200 per night hotel. The shower is difficult to get in and out of. You have to work around the toilet. The tiny sink is well below waist height of a 5'3" person. The queen size bed is really a double. Breakfast was good. They had bisquicts and gravey, pancakes and sausage. Being a tourist area, the resturants all closing at 9pm on a Saturday night is ridiculous. (Not the hotels fault) I would avoid this town.

I paid $141.69 which included a pet fee since my husband and I were traveling with our small dog. Since we had a pet, we were given a pet friendly room with double beds. The room was old, dark, smelled unpleasant, and was a lot smaller than any other hotel we stayed in during our trip. For reference, we stayed in 6 hotels during our trip. We had neighbors on both sides and could hear everything. Not sure why they booked everyone right next to each other since the noise carried over. Our next door neighbors arrived when we were trying to sleep and played music we could hear very well. The heating system was very noisy and the room was small and everything was old. The only beverage option available upon arrival was coffee and there was no hot water available to make tea or room temperature water. The internet did not work and the rate for the room was astronomical compared to Comfort Inn (Rawlins, WY) that we stayed in the night before- $118.51 for 2 queen beds, much bigger and way better room, great breakfast, lots of amenities (fitness room, pool + Jacuzzi, washer and dryer, refreshing lemon water available 24/7, freshly baked cookies at the front desk, customer service was excellent- staff was very attentive). Range County Lodging across the street (I don't know how I missed it) does not charge for pets, there is an indoor pool and Jacuzzi, and the breakfast menu and rooms look much better! DO NOT BOOK WITH BEST WESTERN GRAMHAM’S! I also stayed in Best Western in Beaver, Utah, which was better but overall Best Western does not perform well compared to all the other options out there based on price, amenities, and overall experience.

This is a great motel. My kids and I stopped here on our way back to Minnesota from the Badlands. It was very clean. The pool was great. The breakfast is awesome. There are plenty of options for vegetarians and even a couple vegan (almond milk!) and gluten free options. We enjoyed the pizza place across the street as well. My only complaint is that it was $220 for the night and that seemed expensive compared to other motels we stayed at on the trip- though the breakfast may have made up for that. It was a great stop on our road trip.
