Second time I’ve called to make an appointment for my dogs. And both times I was shushed away (I feel how I feel) but that is exactly how I was treated.First time it was urgent (dog died next day) 2015This time 2024 it was NOT as urgent but I was sent somewhere else. Never will I recommend anyone to Montrose Vet.

I've been taking my two doodles here for 3 years. Super friendly staff and worth the drive from Sioux Falls. They get straight to the point and do not recommend unnecessary, expensive testing. Dr. Renae is great with my dogs. Highly recommend.

Have gone here a couple times service from the veterinarian is very excellent. The service from the receptionist was meh she was pretty rude sounding both over the phone and in person seemed like she absolutely hated being there

They took very good care of my kitty Jack. We called and made an appointment for vax and neuter. They were able to get us in rather quickly. And they cleaned him and everything he smelled like I had just given him a bath. And he for the most part doesn’t mind baths so we have given him several baths since we’ve had him. Thank you sooo much I will return when he’s due for further shots and other needs. And the drive from Sioux Falls isn’t that bad either!

I was looking for affordable and professional spay and neuter for my kitties. I am from MN but have family that live in Sioux Falls, not far from Montrose Vet Clinic. The quotes I received in MN were not what I could afford, especially fixing two cats at the same time. I emailed Montrose Vet with my request for my kitties, and received a phone call the next day. I was surprised how easy it was to schedule the appointment and the affordable price! I just had the services done today and I can’t be more thankful for their services and care! They went above and beyond what I expected, and I would recommend them to anyone!! It was so worth my drive! I may consider bringing all my pets here when I travel back to visit family!Thank you Montrose Vet!!

We love this vet! Reasonably priced, friendly, and it's a very relaxed atmosphere! I love that the vet lets me ask questions and let's us as the puppy parents, request certain things like help with nail trimmings and things like that. Also at 35 weeks pregnant, it's hard to lift our 50lb dog up onto the exam table so she examined her on the floor for me. My poor back and i were definitely grateful!

The staff at Montrose veterinary clinic care about our puppies just as much as we do. Unfortunately our little Lilly bell passed on to the rainbow bridge.. We were having a very difficult time letting her go. So my husband and I decided to have her cremated. The veterinary office made arrangements for the Worthing crematorium to come and pick her up and bring her back in a very nice little tin. We also received a sympathy card from the veterinary clinic which was very thoughtful. We thank them very much for all their help. Kevin and Linda Fountain

This was our second time taking our cat to this clinic - this time to spay and declaw her. The previous visit was for a problem for which our cat had been seen multiple times in another clinic in Sioux Falls without a diagnosis. When the vet saw our cat and her stool sample, she was able to identify the problem right away. As if the medical care received was not enough, the bill was half what the other clinics charge. Great care, professional service, and at a price you can afford. Very pleased!

Definitely worth the drive if you're coming from Sioux Falls. Double the care and half the price. They never pressure you into anything. Dr. Nelsen offers her suggestion but then does exactly what you ask for. Great experience and would recommend!

Excellent care. My kitty was spayed. She recovered quite well in about 5-6 days. Tea received shots too. The price was right!! I'm bringing my new kitty in to be neutered and shots .needed

Not very impressed with Monica at this clinic, I needed to acquire vet records and she was very rude and didn’t help with anything. I would have appreciated a nicer tone and being treated better.

Amazing service, very understanding & patient with us when we had to help our Bandit cross that rainbow bridge!! Brought tears to my eyes when we received a condolence card in the mail soon after!! Thank you for treating her like part of the family, as she was!! I've been to clinics where it's very cold & heartless vets/techs doing a "job", not here!!

Took several trips and calls to get my boyfriends dog to feel better. Also, I've noticed when getting the dogs ( mine and my boyfriends) nails trimmed that they bleed quite a bit every single time. I've gone to another clinic around the area about a half of dozen times and my dogs nails have never blead.

I have been a client with the Montrose Vet Clinic for years, until today. I called for an appointment for my dog Izzy who was having a seizure. I was declined and was told to go to some clinic in Sioux Falls. So, for future reference if you have a downed animal you may be turned away. They do not have the best interest of the sick animal at the forefront of their clinic! They say they are available 24 hours 7 days a week, total pack of lies. I did take Izzy to another Vet and she is getting the care she needed. I would reconsider establishing relations with this clinic because they will not be available for your sick animals as needed. They are not the same clinic we have love for years., the good doctors have left or have died. Do not waste your time with the Montrose Vet Clinic.

The price is right for spay or neuter plus they kept my pets over night because I lived so far away it sidmt work with my job. Didnt cost extra which whas so helpful at the time I cant say better things for this place will bring all my pets here from not on.

Vets seem qualified but front desk staff, super unfriendly on multiple occasions. Sad as I thought small town atmosphere would prevalent, Doc Donelan would be super disappointed
