Awesome store with wonderful people! I have been with the company for close to 3 years and I can honestly say that I love my job! The management team, my coworkers, and the company makes it a wonderful place to work. I am not just an employee with the Mitchell, SD Runnings, but I also do a lot of my shopping there as well. There is a little bit of everything, for everyone! When walking into the store, you will always be greeted with a hello and a smile. We strive to have great customer service and we will go out of our way to be as helpful as possible. I strongly reccomend Runnings as an employee and as a consumer!

Well thought out design for store. Staff friendly and knowledgeable in key areas. Lots of room for pathways and very good lighting. Seasonal displays are always up to date, and have the most sought out equipment/gear ready to go. Stihl dealership and repair on site

The front desk employee was very helpful and prompt with acknowledging my presence & making sure that I received the appropriate resources and the correct employee to help me. I was given & received the appropriate information when filling out the application for a tax exempt/non-profit request. I also was waited on when checking out with no waiting in line & greeted with a smile & politeness. The store was very clean & organized & you could tell that the employees enjoyed their work & took pride in what they were doing 🙂 I would have no problem referring anyone to this store!!The only complaint I have is that they are a little behind on returning acceptance/denial applications for Non-Profit/ Tax Exempt businesses. We are still waiting for an answer regarding our application that we submitted back on November 22, 2023 regarding Purr N' Ruff Rescue’s status.

You can't find anything you need to repair water lines on a home as i live in Arkansas and traveled more than once to south Dakota. Both times runnings didn't have what i needed and had only ace hardware to take care of the stuff i needed to make repairs

As a business owner who shopped at Runnings of Mitchell, SD 57301 on January 5, 2023, I was shocked to learn of accusations made against me and my business by Larissa Donaldson, an employee of the company, on January 24, 2023. During my visit to the store on January 5, there was no mention of any alleged crime, which raises concerns about the validity of Ms. Donaldson's claims.Despite this concerning issue, the overall shopping experience at Runnings was positive. The store had a wide selection of products, and the staff members were knowledgeable and helpful. The store was clean and well-organized, and the checkout process was efficient. The prices were reasonable, and I was able to find everything that I needed for my business. For over 70 years, Runnings has proudly served customers with a wide selection of trusted brands, quality merchandise and hometown-friendly customer service.However, the accusations made by Ms. Donaldson have caused me significant harm, both personally and professionally. As a business owner, my reputation is everything, and the false and defamatory statements made by Ms. Donaldson have damaged my credibility and harmed my business.It is important to note that South Dakota has laws in place regarding defamation, which includes both libel (written defamation) and slander (spoken defamation). Under South Dakota law, slander is defined as a false and defamatory statement made orally or by other means than writing. If a person or business is found liable for slander in South Dakota, the plaintiff may be entitled to damages, including compensation for harm to reputation, emotional distress, and other related losses.Discrimination and defamation have no place in our society, and it is imperative that companies uphold the principles of fairness and equality for all. As a customer of Runnings, I plan to take legal action to protect my business and ensure that this type of behavior is not tolerated

I traveled 1 hour 30 minutes to go to cabellas and had a horrible encounter with a lazy person in the hunting department and came to runnings and it is an amazing difference the young guys in the hunting department at runnings went above and beyond to anwser my questions and make sure i got the proper equipment within my price range. The best part was if the young man did not know he got on the radio and got advice from other employees and this difference is what makes this place so much better than cabellas.

The staff is so friendly and so helpful. Kenney, the mechanic in the automotive service department is awesome and he knows his stuff. Their prices are really reasonable. I recommend anyone to take their vehicles to have Kenney work on them. He is a very knowledgeable mechanics and really cares about getting you back on the road.

Been here about 10 years ago and I didnt buy anything from the place. I came with my friend who had to return some things. They handled us very well. They utilize the space well from the old Menards building. I am glad they are here. Plenty of parking.

Generally, a better selection of most items than the store chain that they took over, which was Campbell's Supply. However, the pricing is higher and the selection of ACTUAL FARM SUPPLIES is worse , I feel. With TSC, and Runnings both catering to mostly city folk, you're driving farmers to shop online for their specialty needs.10/14/2022Looked again for something for the farm. This time for a larger land plane and nothing. I must say, they do carry a wide variety of items. Maybe they will settle into their local catalog after some time.

I’m giving Runnings a one star review because I’m sick of constantly receiving junk mail from them. If you’re going to keep mailing garbage to me every single week, you could at least include a letter politely asking me to throw it away for you.Update: I would have deleted this review if they stopped sending me junk mail after I emailed them. I have now emailed them three times since this review, and I still receive junk mail from them multiple times a week.

Since Runnings took over Campbell's its very hard to find an employee to help find things after they've completely rearranged the store. Harder to find actuall farm supplies because the pet food and clothes sections are taking over.
