Bought a black lab from Doug on June 19,2022. He was very nice to deal with and very professional with questions I ask. It was a very hot day so I didn't see the dad. So Doug if you could send me a photo of Rocky and Cooper ( Mom and Dad) I would like them for my puppy book. I totally love my little (big) boy. His name is Rocky Balboa Sylvester Stallone. My granddaughter loves him and says thank you. Also was shocked with her took a leash and walking by me right away. Again thank you for my baby boy so much. Susan and Khloie (my granddaughter)

We bought our yellow female from Doug 6 years ago. She is by far the best dog. She is very smart, and friendly and I cannot put into words especially in the last week how much I appreciate her. She is not a trained service dog, but my husband had a medical emergency that she alerted me to and has been nothing but attentive to my husband since and is the sweetest dog. I would go bankrupt if my husband wouldn’t stop me from buying dogs from Doug.

Very nice setup, labs were all beautiful, welping boxes were very clean, and our Maggy Lou is such a beautiful red!The only difference I would make is no carpet in welping box as the pup is struggling to potty train since she loves to use the rugs for a bathroom since that is what she knows. If you have any ideas to help us change this, that'd be great!Thank you kindly, Blessings!The McDaniel's

My family had a wonderful experience picking out our new puppy! We knew we wanted a lab and we are so glad we choose Altman labs. Doug sent us pictures and kept us informed from the moment the puppies were born. He was very professional and easy to work with over the phone. We drove 9 hours to get our lab and it was well worth it. Doug’s facility is very clean and the dogs and puppies are well taken care of. We were impressed with how easy the process was and all the information Doug passed onto us about the history and care for the puppy. We have already recommended Altman labs to a handful or people and we will keep recommending Doug for years to come!

I drove 4 hours Monday to look at lab puppies Doug had for sale. I found him online and he was super responsive and professional. Shortly after reaching out I had pictures and information on all the pups for sale. When we arrived his kennels were very clean and all the pups were well cared for. He made the process very easy and had all the documents and papers in a folder organized ready for us to take with. Great experience and we are enjoying our new addition!

10/10 recommend this breeder. We just got our red lab puppy from him and he gave us a full tour and let them all out to play and mingle with us.He also showed us the mother, father, and even grandfather of our puppy that we picked.The facility is huge, clean and well taken care of.He updated the puppy’s final shot and microchipped him while we were there. The paperwork was given neatly in a folder and he fully explained it all to us as we are first time puppy owners. Finally, he gave us a week supply of food and even shampoo samples for him.He definitely knew his information backwards and forwards from bloodlines to breeding morale.It was a great experience and we highly recommended this breeder for anyone looking!

We are extremely impressed with Altman Kennels!We contacted Doug the other day, as we were looking for a labrador puppy. He was very informative and sent us photos almost immediately. Upon arriving at the kennel, we noticed how clean and well kept the property was. Doug took us around to see all of the dogs and puppies. We were amazed at how clean everything was.We will be bringing one of his puppies home in a couple of weeks!

We love our puppy so much!!! She has the most calm gentle personality of any puppy I have ever encountered. It was a great experience acquiring her from start to finish, as we were a couple that was doing it from a distance. The facility was clean and the puppies are absolutely beautiful. Beautiful puppy. Such bad lines behind her though we couldn’t breed her because of her hips! Vet said that breeder should not be breeding! Contacted seller and he said well give her back and pick a different one…….yeah no thanks!!!! Not recommended!!!!!!!

Our Altman Lab is the best dog I have ever owned. He is sweet, loving, eager to please, good with kids, completely cuddly, and beautiful. He has a wonderful disposition and looks like the breed standard. I adore my dog.

We purchased a female, with later intent of breeding. I had preliminary hip tests done, and she failed with flying colors. Vet said, under no conditions breed. Contacted him, since he gave a verbal guarantee. He said he would give a discount on another one, or take her back. He does no guarantees or testing. Kids loved her, terrible hips, and not even usable for hunting by two years old, so just a gimped up house pet. Beautiful puppies, but if you're going to pay as much as he wants, search for a more reputable breeder.

This was by far the worst experience Ive had with a breeder. He is so unprofessional and rude. Went to look at puppies and its a puppy mill and his interactions with them were very aggressive. I would never recommend this place to anyone or give any money to him. He has a short temper when its not an instant sale and is very degrading. Was screamed at on the phone and was told we were playing games with him as we were not sold on a puppy yet. Spend your money elsewhere. Look at his responses to reviews, very rude and narcissistic.

I bought a Yellow Lab from Doug 2 years ago and she is the best dog I have ever seen at hunting. When we got home she was pointing at 7 weeks old highly recommend this kennel.

We bought an adorable pup from Altman 3 yrs. ago and now we have been told she has SEVERE hip dysplasia. Her parents are Bailey and Ben that bred at Altman Labs. Very concerned about quality of breeding practices. I was told her mother Bailey had at least 8 litters which I do not consider humane or healthy.

Hands down the most unprofessional experience I have ever had. Drove over an hour to see the puppies and was driving home when he called yelling at us regarding a deposit that he claimed was not sent and then he ended up refunding the money since clearly the money was sent as we said it was. He cussed and screamed over the phone and then told me to “get the f on with life” and hung up. Would definitely recommend looking elsewhere for a dog from someone who is a little more level-minded.
