I recently purchased a vacation rental home in Lead, SD, and I couldn't be more happy that there is an Awesome Ace Hardware store there! I have been in the store multiple times as have my partners in the house. They are very nice and very helpful! If you need it, they most likely have it! Great place for all your hardware needs! As a long-time loyal customer since 2005, I have always appreciated the level of customer service that I have received from your employees, particularly the older gentleman who works at the store. However, my recent experience with one of your young lady cashiers left a lot to be desired.During my last visit to the store, I found the young people working there to be very unhelpful. Unfortunately, the young lady cashier was particularly unprofessional in her treatment of me. This experience was very disappointing and has led me to reconsider my decision to continue patronizing your store.I wanted to bring this issue to your attention in the hope that it can be addressed promptly. While I understand that every business is staffed by individuals with different levels of experience and training, customer service is a critical aspect of any business. It is important that all employees, regardless of their age, provide courteous and helpful assistance to customers.I hope that my feedback can help improve the customer experience at your store, and I look forward to hearing back from you on the steps you plan to take to address this issue.

The employees are great! The guy in hardware has helped me many times! He’s been a lifesaver more than once. Then I think his wife works in paint department. Don’t know how many times she’s given me advice on finishes. They both are great! I highly recommend Ace in Lead!

Ace Hardware in Lead, is a very wonderful place to shop. They have more than just Hardware. The staff there is very polite and personable. They will go out of their way to help you with whatever you need. they carry all different type of brand of tools, kitchen supplies, bird feeders, bird food, and plenty of other things that you may need. I shop there all the time and I would recommend you become a Ace Rewards member. You will receive special discounts, and also get discount coupon cards in the mail. I definitely would recommend this store for you to shopping, or at least stop in and look around so you can see all they have to offer.

💕I drove up a 1/4 tank of gas going all the way to Wal-Mart in spearfish! ACE hardware in lead had it🤔What was it? Sheets of duct tape in assorted patterns and colors. Perfect for that ugly bubble with stuffing coming out on the console of my newly acquired car✌

They had a 2 1/8" o ring that fit the fuel bowl on the carburetor of the Tecumseh engine on my snow blower!!!!!!! Yea!!!!!!
