We pulled in late at night looking for a room after a 15 hour drive & the lady seen our faces & made accommodations for us! She was super sweet and I appreciated her so much!Not much to see or places to eat, but I’m so grateful!

Stayed here while on a hunting trip. It’s an older motel with newer owners and some rooms have been remodeled. We weren’t that lucky to get one, but regardless the staff was super nice and accommodating, plus they allow pets which was an extra bonus. We will be back next year when we come pheasant hunt again.If you’re a small town kinda person, stop in Kimball,SD. The people are friendly and though the city looks rundown, there is great place in the small town to grab breakfast, lunch or dinner and it’s yummy!!

I really liked the wall furnishings of our room. There were natural finished pine planks on the walls which looked very nice. Our bathroom needed a little tlc though. There were big patches in the tub. The beds were smaller than I expected but were comfortable enough. I wasn't able to block the light from the street light from coming into our room adequately so our room was kind of bright which made it harder to get to sleep. The person at the front desk was friendly to deal with.

The staff(Emily) was very nice and fun to talk to. She gave directions to a cute restaurant with great food and fast service. The room was VERY clean down to the smallest details and the beds were very comfortable!! That they are pet friendly is definitely a plus. When we come this way again, we will definitly come back here.

The younger girl at the office was very friendly. The rooms were nice and clean. Pulling up I have to be honest, I was a little aprehensive by the outward but it was a nice place. Two things I wasn't thrilled about were the heavy smell of cleaning fluids in the rooms and just the outward appearance. But the price, the service, and the room was really good so I was satisfied from a weary travelers persoective.

The rooms were very clean and the management was super nice. Great place to stop and spend the night. Very close to frosty king where they have awesome food and ice cream. Also very close to the convenience store that serves awesome fried chicken. I highly recommend this hotel. The hotel is located in a small friendly neighborhood.

The rooms here are beautifully decorated and nice. The owners are very friendly. They have a little truck parking lot that can accommodate one maybe two trucks at the most but there is a truck stop directly across the street from the motel. The truck stop also has a nice diner aka bar and grill. Coffee in the morning. They have chairs outside the rooms that are nice to enjoying sitting outside before hitting the hay.

This place is fantastic! I was in a bind when my uhaul broke down and they were incredibly accommodating. They made sure a room was ready on the spot, had menus for the local restaurants and even phone numbers ready for them. Even when we were uncertain if we'd be able to leave by check out, they let us stay past and even let us do our laundry. 10 outta 10 would stay here again, voluntarily this time

Great if you need a budget room to stay in for the night. Clean, tidy and quite cozy. The hotel is a little outdated though. Beds are squeaky, AC is quite loud and Internet is relatively slow. The staff (and hotel manager) are very polite, nice and helpful. They accommodated me even though I checked in past the opening hours of the hotel. Would stay here again!

We stayed here very last minute, the girl at the front desk was so nice and took personal responsibility for the cleanliness of our room, well she said she would take care of her sister if it wasn't cleaned correctly lol (which I feel never happens anymore). It was a clean and cute room that was very well priced. I would stay here again in a heart beat!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED We found this place by accident while motorcycling west. Great owners! Very personable. We even enjoyed beers with them on the porch. They let us park are bikes right by the doors. Place was clean and comfortable.

Stayed for one night.Convenient location and The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Let down a bit by previous reviews.. very basic motel rooms, beds were ok but not great, pillows very flat, had to ask for extra - which they provided when we asked, rooms A/C was a basic window/wall unit that looked like it was from the 80s and very very loud, light switch on wall didnt do anything we had to plug in the lamps to have light.. small and stuffy, but worked for one night. Wouldn't have stayed there longer though.

Great motel owned by a local. Reasonable rates. Get good hamburgers at Frosty King and good chicken at the gas station. No price gaugeing tourist. Only suggestion for motel, need to up grade mattresses and add USB charging plugs.

It was okay. Too pricey for what you get. Needs updated. Old style TV and not many channels. Water pressure in shower was not great. WIFI not good at all and internet data bad in entire town. However, it was clean and quiet all night. Staff is extremely nice and accommodating. Easy grass access for pet. They just charge too much for the lack of updated quality,

We loved this place, just a great motel. Very friendly staff and clean, our room looked to be recently updated and was nice and quiet. Just a few miles from Chamberlain, we will definitely stay here again.

Headed home and had to stop for the night with my children. The toilet wouldn't flush, so we had to ask for assistance. It turned out the water had been shut off to the toilet. Later as I was trying to sleep, something crawled on my face. It was a baby bed bug. My child was bitten in her bed by a full sized adult bed bug. I found another baby bed bug on my pillow and we had to leave over this. It was the middle of the night and we were so exhausted. It was incredibly upsetting and inconvenient. We caught the bugs and put them in a cup. Took pictures. The owner responded to my call immediately and showed up to give me a refund without hassling me and was incredibly apologetic.

This place was great! On Our Way To Rushmore on a cross country trip, called at about 11 pm to check in for midnight. The owner was very kind and the condition of the (newly remodeled ) room was immaculate. I highly recommend this place to anyone passing through. Affordable and great conditions. Plus it's not a chain!

I really was going to keep driving after seeing the pics on here. But I read a few reviews and thought I'd give the place a chance. I'm glad I did. People here are sweet and helpful. The place is clean! And cozy too mic and fridge in the room and I love the nice wood walls.. Beautiful. Im glad we didn't keep driving. It's a go.

Had an unplanned stop (thanks to a deer) and they were amazing at helping us get a room, ice, etc. The room was very clean and comfortable. I'd highly recommend if you ever need to stay in Kimball!

Bed bugs got me in the middle of the night. Woke up with several large, swollen, itchy welts covering half my face. It was so bad one eye was half shut. Went to urgent care, who tested to make sure it wasn't shingles or herpes, and they confirmed it was most likely an allergic reaction to bug bites.Told the staff who were nice enough and said that they checked the bed and found no bed bugs. I appreciate that they did that, but really the bed should be scrapped and the room thoroughly exterminated.

Good place to lay your head for the night. Cute front porch look. Beds were a little on the soft lumpy side and no breakfast or coffee. Quick stop is good but not recommended for a longer stay

Exactly what we wanted/needed. CLEAN, convenient, friendlyand reasonable. Highly recommended. They went above and beyond for us. Very pleased with the new owners. Looking forward to going back. My only complaint was our schedules didn't allow us to stay longer.

A great place all around. We were passing through and needed a place to stay, and the owner accommodated us even though it was close to midnight. It was cheap, the room was impeccably clean and it was so comfortable.

Wasn't a great stay. Most of the lights in the room didn't work. The bed had a dip in the middle so we had to constantly keep shifting throughout the night. Walls were thin and could here the neighbors. I guess for the price we can't complain that much, but expected a functional room.
