We are so glad we ended up choosing this spot for our one night stay to visit Mt. Rushmore. From our initial phone call to see if there was availability (spoke with Moose, who was AMAZING!) to the super and helpful gal, Jamie, at the Checkin desk to the great recommendations of spots to check out by Marshall, our entire stay was lovely. The kindness of the staff was top notch and a quick 6 min drive to Mt. Rushmore. The RV spots (15-18) are a bit of a tight squeeze but we made it work. This is a unique RV park and not “luxurious” necessarily, but super convenient and great service!! If you choose to stay here and get the pleasure of meeting Moose, tell him Claire sent ya! 😁

Prepare to maximize your maneuvering skills with your trailer, spots are kinda tight and you will get to know your neighbors, wether you want to or not. Spots are level and well maintained, bathroom/showers are decent, kids will love the lower-positioned shower heads. Staff was great and helpful, we were a late arrival, and all paperwork was ready for us. All hookups work like a charm. GREAT location for sightseeing and in the middle of everything, we were towing a 20ft trailer (no slide-outs) and it was a smidge tight.Nearby activities: Big Thunder Gold Mine is a must, kids loved gold panning, also Rushmore Adventure park was a blast.Food & drinks: Sidewalks roll up around 9pm, get food early or bring your own

We stayed in the RV park and not the Inn. Some of the sites are very small, but they put us in sites 3 and 4 to make it bigger for our Motorhome. We were backed up to a bubbling creek. Didn’t see any fish but did see two ducks enjoying the bank until I disturbed them. We had several deer come down the other side to the creek. The park is clean and nestled in by the creek and right in the center of town. You walk either direction to cute shops, adventure parks, restaurants, chainsaw art, glass blowing, museums, and coffee shops. Keystone is a cute little town. The managers of the park were nice and helpful. If you are looking for a place to stay for while, this may not be for you, but for a night or two while you visit Mount Rushmore (2 miles away) and Crazy Horse or any other amazing places there, then this is a great stop. I think it may be a little over priced, but cheaper than many other places. They do have a bath house and there is a laundry mat just a short walk away. This month they are opening larger spaces for big rigs.Nearby activities: Mount Rushmore is only 6-7 minute drive away. Shops, restaurants, and entertainment are within walking distance.

We had reservations to camp here for 2 nights. Sadly we found the restroom/shower to be very unkept. First shower I tried was plugged and water quickly covered my ankles. The 2nd shower had the molding separating from the shower at the base allowing water to be trapped that appeared stagnant. The shower curtains were moldy and dirty. The trash overflowed and nothing seemed to be cleaned during our stay. At the completion of this 3 week trip we will have passed through 13 states and camped in RV parks along the way. This was by far the most disappointing.

Claims to be Good Sam. Didn't give me the Good Sam discount when I booked. Asked about it when I checked in, I had to go to my truck and get the physical card. They said they would credit me for the discount. When I was checking out, I asked about the refund again because it didn't show up at my card online. They said it would credit at 5pm the day I checked out. Over a week later, I still never got it. I don't like being lied too 😒

Had a late evening traveling with a group in an RV, caught the front desk before they closed and were set up with a RV site and room without any problems. We woke up and looked up and had our first glimpse of Mt Rushmore in the morning. Would definitely recommend. We don’t need frills and it was exactly what we needed. Sites are a little close but we only needed it for the night.

I’m using my daughters account to post this review. My name is Dominique Wing and we are staying here for our family vacation. This is a very convenient location for everything to do around Mt Rushmore. Everything around Keystone is walking distance. The campground is clean and well kept. The front desk ladies are very friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend and would come back. Thank you Rushmore View!!

I was surprised by how nice this was for both the price and the location. Often an in town rv place is just an open empty parking lot with rv's crammed in so tight, and no shade, no place to easily walk your dog. This campground is behind the hotel and in a little sheltered spot down a little hill. There's a little creek as a boundary, gravel road and sites and some grass and trees. You do hear some traffic noise, but it's not that bad.I wanted a pull through site as I hate backing up, and they were able to provide that. The site was clearly marked as 35 ft on the map, my camper is 20 ft but add the hitch and length of my truck and I knew signing up online for the spot that I might have to unhitch and park the truck in overflow. I was actually able to unhitch and park behind my camper. When you choose your site online it is your responsibility to choose one large enough! The office people were friendly and great to work with providing a map and info about Rushmore programs! They let us check out over an hour late with no charge and a very relaxed take your time vibe. There's a sitting area with free coffee and 3 flavors of cream plus hot tea attached to the office we were encouraged to use plus hotel ice machine down the hall offered for our use. The restroom/shower facilities had key cards, which were provided and that made them feel more safe and private. The facilities (office, sitting area, restroom, shower and laundry room) were very clean and well kept.Every person I interacted with in any way associated with the hotel, laundry, store, etc was professional but warm and friendly. I heard that over the busy weekend some people had trouble getting wifi to work properly. We arrived on a slow Sunday and left the next day, and the wifi was the best we had on our entire trip from Oregon to Minnesota. The location was walking distance to most things in Keystone and a short drive up to Rushmore for the evening lighting presentation. We loved it here and would stay again in a heartbeat. (I will time my visit for a slow time like I did though. I think on busy weekends I might like the location a little less. But that's just me, I don't like crowded conditions.)

The location was great since it was so close to everything. You could walk to a lot of different restaurants, shops, wax museum really easily. The bathroom was average. The showers were nice though. The reason for the lack of stars...There are 2 areas they have you park. One is on a ridge with no trees. The other near a creek with trees but it's behind a laundry place and the spots are small. We got the second area. We were told it was a back in but the electric box numbered for us made it so we had to pull forward instead since they have them between every other spot. The water and dumb were between each one. Some had power between each. It was very inconsistent. We only have a 22' but had to pull uncomfortably forward to the ledge down to the creek to actually hook up to everything.

Been traveling across the country for 6 weeks and made a reservation here to have easy access to Mount Rushmore. Don’t let the name fool you. There is no view of Rushmore from this RV Park. It was probably our least favorite Rv park we have stayed in out of 14.Only gravel and dead grass to park on. We had electricity and water on one side of vehicle and dump station on the other side and we were parked behind the back of a restaurant and Laundry Mat not associated with the RV Park. Thank goodness we had our nice RV to go into and close the door to where we were parked.

The sites are super tight! Close to your neighbor and short, with little place to park. Our back slide was actually sticking out over the hill/ creek, but that was kind of cool, and there were deer hanging out right under it! Staff was extremely nice and helpful, and being right next to downtown was amazing. Note, the chainsaw art demos just across the parking lot open at 8 am and you can hear them very well 🤣

We stayed one night. The front desk was nice and friendly. Easy check in. However there were no bathrooms/shower houses. And the website did not state that right on front page. We checked in too late to move to another campground. You are basically on top of your neighbor, sharing space with neighbors picnic table and pull outs very close together. It's a glorified gravel parking lot with sewers and electric. It is an easy walk to town. For a quick dinner and souvenir shopping. Close to Mount Rushmore and if you walk to the road you can see it lit up at night. The convenience store next to lot was very nice.

When we arrived Marci checked us in and she was very friendly and warm, our first spot was too tight so we we’re able to move, she went out of her way to help us. The spots are tight and close but for a night or two it works, it’s so close to everything. We had breakfast at Peggy’s vey good and great service.

We chose this place blindly. We did read the reviews and from what we can now understand this is what our 2 cents are! If you want a place that is close to Keystone in the heart of the life and can walk a short distance (2-3 minutes) this is a super place to “throw down” and hook up! The goal of this park is to give you a hot spot to sleep. The grounds are no frills, but definitely everything you would need. The staff was very kind and helpful. If your goal is to have a park that is more of a resort then keep scrolling. However, if you need a place to hook up and enjoy the shopping and attraction spots around you, book this! It is a sweet little place!

For an overnight stay in Keystone, it served our purpose. Right in town, behind Peggy's diner, near the Keystone Mall. Laundromat on site, but the dryers really didn't work - we left with damp clothes. The cleanest/nicest bathrooms we've had on our entire trip. Sites are small, and there are only a handful of them, but most are on a nice creek for the kids. After a day at Rushmore & Keystone, it was great not to have to drive 12-20 miles out of town to a campground. Bonus: about bedtime, just before we went into the RV, a lone deer walked out of the woods, across the creek, right through our site, and down the road.

The sites here were so ridiculously small that when we put out our slide on our relatively small 27 foot travel trailer, it went over part of our next door neighbors picnic table. The sites are level however very difficult to get into because of buildings and rocks and the pure small size of the site. Go any place else but here. Our only saving grace is that we had great next door neighbors

We were backed up to Grizzly River. Beautiful views of mountains. A little rustic but were excited about 5inches of snow our first morning. Keystone is charming town full of restaurants, shops and ice cream shops. Deer came right down mountain behind us to feed by our camper. They were beautiful. Wi fi and TV spotty but that’s to be expected in canyon with mountain all around.

I called the night before for reservations for 2 nights in theRv Park. Not only could they accommodate me in short notice, but they were super friendly on the phone. Now let me tell you about check in. These ladies are so friendly, warm and funny. I think we carried on a 20 minute conversation, before I left the office. We connected as soon as I walked into the office! I think we should hang out! 😉They are super accommodating and this place is centered around all the great places to check out. Thanks ladies for being so hospitable. I think we're going to really enjoy ourselves here.1💛

We were in a pickle and found a spot here at the last minute. When we got there, the front desk staff were so nice and really helped us to make a bad situation a lot better. We enjoyed all the fellow campers, the location so close to town, and the pleasant creek flowing behind the sites. If we ever go back to Keystone, South Dakota, we will for sure get a spot here 😊

Great place! Now having said that, it is what it is. It's a motel. All places in Keystone are motels. But you really can see Mount Rushmore from the parking lot. But more importantly, the people at the front desk, like Pam, are super friendly and helpful. We stayed 5 days and the room was always super clean when we'd return in the evening. And each night there would be deer near the parking lot.

I will say the location was good. The campsite is tiny I felt like I was on top of my neighbors only about 10 feet between and we both had our picnic tables next to each other. internet was spotty no cable no showers because of covid 19. If you want to be in town its great. All in All if I were going back I would camp at one of the numerous forest service campgrounds more privacy more scenic and just about as close to the monument,

First: the location is great.... only a few miles to Mount Rushmore. The RV park is very small and needs plenty of work. It overlooks a run down hotel, old machinery sitting on grass and a laundromat. Sites are small and uneven, grass needs mowing and reseeding, there is no cable and dust flies up as people roar down the road as a cut-through. There are no signs on the main road and it's was hard to find. We visited memorial weekend and knew relocating campsites would be hard. It was listed as 5 stars.... definitely not!

We stayed here for 3 nights as it's close to all the scenic rides nearby. The sites were fine some close. The deer would come out in the mornings and evenings. For a downtown camp it was OK. Full hookup, restrooms and showers clean.. the owner was very nice and attentive.

NO parking or very limited for your personal vehicle! The camp sites are REALLY, REALLY close together & REALLY small....you can't park your personal vehicle next to your camper/rv. Not Ideal for more than a couple days of staying. A little over priced since we didn't have access to the bathroom/shower house.Because there was no room to park our personal vehicle, we parked in the empty camp sites, but we were always asked to move our vehicle even if we were only parked for a couple minutes to load & unload the vehicle and the employees became very rude to us. ALSO the advertisement said WiFi...but it did not work. So we had a hard time planning our next adventure.

We called last minute for a late checkin and the lady was WONDERFUL! The grounds are small, clean, and easily accessible. They had THE BEST WIFI out of 7states we camped in. Facilities were under construction but neighboring convenience store was ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS!!Highly recommend this facility!
