Where do I start? The place looked so awesome inside and out. We chose the alcove room and it was amazing! It was off season so the cost was so cheap for a nice place like this. But the best part was the people that work here. They made us feel right at home, they welcomed us so well, helped us with anything we needed and the wonderful Mrs in the morning served us breakfast made to order. It was so amazing and all with the room. The service and hospitality here was out of this world! What an amazing deal and people! Can't wait to come back!Food & drinks: Sausage and eggs with French toast was amazing with such great hospitality

Loved our suite with jetted bathtub, alcove in the large bedroom with king size bed, separate living area complete with library and comfortable seating and kitchenette with fridge and microwave. The hotel also has a gameroom, gazebo, laundry, pool in season and a free breakfast with various tasty hot and cold options. Staff are friendly and helpful. The price was very reasonable for all the amenities and conveniently located very near to Mt. Rushmore and many other local attractions.

My friend and I visited in November for a short girls weekend trip. We were very happy with our room. Everything was very clean and smelled nice. I think that the balcony would have been a great place to relax during warmer weather. The hotel is in a great location in Keystone and I am sure in the summer months you could easily walk to many nearby restaurants and attractions. In November however, the entire town is closed to you have to drive to another town to eat. The included breakfast had a good selection and we enjoyed sitting in the rocking chairs in the lobby afterward letting our food settle. My only complaint would have to be that the bathroom was super small but with the sink being outside the bathroom it is comfortable functional. I would definitely stay here again!

7 minutes away from Mount Rushmore. Pool is seasonal. Awesome game room. Loved the breakfast options. The front desk personnel was very friendly and helpful. Old timy.Rooms: The ones that are close to the street on the ground floor was wonderful. Microwave and fridge in our room.

Not really what I expected for the money. Smelled like a smoking hotel. With other smells that were not good. Bed really was not comfortable. Noisy you can hear conversations as though you are in the room with the person behind the wall. Our Dog was on edge. We left with a room paid for. There was no question about why or any offer for making it right. Funny no post email to us...there were several pre check-in. About being welcome and part of the Roosevelt Inn family. Not a peep after leaving them with a night paid for. It appears that workers live there they smoke alot. It travels everywhere. Staff seemed nice (when available) not very accommodating. We traveled for a month seeing national parks. Stayed at some really nice places for less. Not to mention an indoor pool that gets closed for the season??Place may work for some. We are pretty moderate hard working folks. When we spend money we would appreciate the same in return for our dollars. Has potential not a complete dive. With a little effort could be what they claim.

I used to like these guys a lot because of the convenience for me and my dog. However, when I purchased their suit with a private balcony, there were dead flies in every windowsill. There was piss and toilet paper left in the stool, a love wasp hanging out in my room. Dead flies and wasps all on the balcony, and some other bug of multiple I can’t identify. The staff is sweet, I don’t know the whole story or if they’re just short staffed. But the suit of all things will be something I never EVER pay for ever again. What a shame, I really liked this place. Can’t sleep well at night just knowing how nasty the SUITS are. Every other average basic room has been fine. What a bummer.

These photos are all places within a block of Roosevelt Inn. It was a very handy location to walk all of Keystones' touristattraction. 20 minutes to Rapid City is a very nice 4 lane road. 3 miles to Mt. Rushmore. Mini golf right across the street. Nicely renovated. Front desk personnel are quite friendly and helpful. The only negative I would have to offer is the mattresses were too soft for our liking. Otherwise the room was quite comfortable. We had 2 queen beds and a balcony that faced the mountains. Would highly recommend.

The staff here was amazing to me and my family especially being from “Colorado”! They greeted us with the up most respect and were very helpful! The breakfast was amazing in the morning! The arcade room was great for the kids! The owner of the putt putt across the street offered free golf balls after hours! We then noticed how close of a community this was! We loved it! The room was great and clean when we entered. Clean linen was in room with extras for our big family accommodations. There wasn’t a complain I could even think of! This was an amazing stay for the couple days we were there! If I can give this place 100 starts I would for hospitality and respect!!!!Walkability: Everything is about 15 mins awayFood & drinks: Boss’ was delicious

Perfect hotel for our family stay. Rooms were clean, the staff was attentive to detail and very helpful, the breakfast was great, had plenty of options and the staff attending it were on their toes, constantly refilling food and cleaning up. The pool and game room were awesome for hanging out in the evenings. Location was awesome, 5 minutes from Rushmore and restaurants. We loved it here and would definitely come back!

Roosevelt Inn was a lovely stay. The hotel was beautifully designed, with a cozy lobby area and an adorable wooden patio outside the entrance. It had the perfect theme for the area, lovely views and free parking. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The room was spacious, comfortable and had a really cool electric fireplace which you could change the color of. Mount Rushmore is nearby which is why we booked this hotel, as it was convenient for our visit there. There are also a few other cool things to do in the area surrounding, such as a museum and a zip line course. The free breakfast was hot, delicious and the selection was huge. The hotel has an indoor pool (which was unfortunately closed due to the season for us but we peeked through and it looked nice!) and a fun, free of charge game room with a pool table. Our only complaints would be that our room didn't have a remote control for the TV. By the time we realized it was too late to go down and get it replaced but it was ok as we figured out how to change the channel by the buttons on the side of the TV. When we told them about this the next morning, the hotel were very apologetic and thanked us for letting them know for the next guests. Also we noticed the town next to the hotel was completely dead. It looked a little like a ghost town, with nothing being open and no people around. We saw that there were a bunch of food places showing open online but when we walked down to them, all lights were off and doors closed. We ended up having to drive 30 minutes to the next nearest big town to get food which wasn't ideal however this was not the hotels fault. This may have been due to the season we visited so just a heads up for anyone going in the same season as us (Winter-Spring), be prepared for not a lot to be open!

Very pleasant accommodating staff. Super family friendly. Excellent breakfast which is included. Probably as close to home cooked as you'll get in a hotel. Would definitely stay again. Not the fanciest place, but everything was well kept and we had a room with four beds for a very reasonable price. If I'm ever in the area I would certainly stay again.

Basic hotel. Front desk staff was very pleasant! Room was dated with a few updates that didn’t seem professionally finished. Our biggest complaint was no bath fan. The mini fridge was not clean, but we didn’t use it. We had a loft room and the setup was nice. Good breakfast with eggs, a fun pancake making machine, and pastries. VERY close to Mt Rushmore (3-4 min) and, though you can’t see it very well from my photo, we had a view of the spires in the distance from our window!

Unique but dated. The room was clean but small. Parking is very limited and small spaces. We were on the fourth floor and were advised to park in the upper ramp, but no handicap spaces are up there. The was very small and no closet or place to put luggage. The shower was tiny as well. The location is close to Mount Rushmore and several places to walk to in town. The hotel had a lot of stories and quotes from Roosevelt, which was interesting to read. The breakfast was standard, but you got real Silverwear, plates, and coffee mugs to use. The bed was uncomfortable. Overall, it was ok for one night. Cute porch and rocking chairs, but people were always smoking out there.Nearby activities: Several things to do within walking.

The staff was friendly and the breakfast was good, but otherwise this place was rough. The AC unit in our room was so loud that it felt like we were trying to sleep on a plane. The kitchen sink was giving off a smell of rotten eggs. The pillows were extremely hard and thin.

Older hotel but in nice condition. Seems to be well run. Breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts I have had in a long time. Location was great for our site seeing. Really appreciated the ice lemon lime water in the lobby.Walkability: We walked to the downtown each night for dinner and shopping.

We stayed here for 5 nights. Breakfast was great, and not the same thing each day. This is close to Mt. Rushmore. If you are going to this area for several days like we were it was good to have a central place to stay then go out from there. The rooms are a little dated but you aren't going to get new updated stuff in Keystone. We would be back.

The Roosevelt Inn was a huge disappointment. Our room had a loft but it was unusable it smelt horrible like cat urine all the carpet in the room looked as if it hadn't been vacuumed in a decade I didn't dare take off my shoes. Also the place is supposed to be non smoking this was not the case my room filled with cigarette smoke both nights I was there. This was do the live in management who smoke. Will not stay here again. And you can't count on elevator.Rooms: Uncomfortable, not clean. The handrail leading to loft was broken and dangerous especially for children.Nearby activities: Mount Rushmore Adventure park. Small walk to restaurants and shopping. 5 mins from Mount Rushmore National park. Presidential was museum is across the street.

Rooms are big and spacious with a nice view, depending on which side of the hotel you are .Great customer service ,went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with our stay .We will definitely come back and recommend this hotel .

Stayed there during sturis week. Was nice and quiet. Would have liked to have been on the front side to see the bikes go by, but that was ok. There is plenty to do in the area. Wasn't too happy with the pool, looked a little run down, but someone was using it when my son and I looked at it. They said the temperature was a little cold. I would stay there again.

We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel .The staff was great but check in and they came in every day and refreshed our towels .They make an amazing breakfast every morning, hot and some good selections. The hotel is sort of on the end of town so it's out of the way. It's too far to walk to the main shopping areas of the town, but the The Mexican restaurant next door is amazing and there is a wine and coffee shop just across the street. We booked a family room which had two queen size beds, a separate living room with a couch. Big enough for two small kids to sleep on. Nice chairs to relax in and look out the window at the mountains .We'll definitely stay here next time we come to this area.
