we got a queen suite, originally booked to stay across the street at Baymont, apparently it was closed for season so they moved us to Ramada. Room was incredibly small, can barely move in it. Tub was gross. Pool and hot tub were odd.Rooms: very very small room that is set for a queen bed, can barley move.

The rooms were very quaint and small, the beds were tight against the wall and cramped. The room has a heater air conditioner combination the kicks on at all points during the stay and was rather loud and annoying. The fire alarm battery was going out and could be heard with the loud chirp. Whatever you do, do not come to this hotel during the offseason as 75% of the hotel is shut down and all of the businesses in town barring one or two are also closed until May

Enjoyed our stay in rm 132. LG King room with super nice shower/tub. Hot water with great pressure. Only problem was the cable TV was missing most of the channels due to DISH contract. Room was clean and bed was comfy with plenty of pillows. No breakfast included here.Nearby activities: Just down the hill from Mt Rushmore.Walkability: There is lots of touristy stores and restaurants within walking distance.

The hotel is old, cramped, and I smelled lingering cigarette smoke at the tiny front desk (I’m super sensitive to smoke). Not a promising first impression. Our room smelled like BO. It was advertised to sleep 5 though there’s only 2 queen beds (maybe Expedia’s fault?). There isn’t breakfast for the price, though tourist locations tend to overcharge. I should’ve headed further out of town for a hotel. The redeeming trait is the fun pool (lots of kids for my kids to play with) and hot tub, though chemicals in the hot tub made my eyes burn and the pool was cold.Do not recommend.

Spent an evening at Ramada while in the tourist town of Keystone. We made a reservation for the wrong evening but the staff was very accommodating to get us a room. The room and hallways seemed to be a bit compressed and narrow but functional. This also includes the bathroom but it is clean and can make it work. Although, due to the small and narrow area you can really only have one person in the bathroom at a time. This hotel doesn't offer a free breakfast but you do have a number of options within walking distance. No on site restaurants but again within walking distance of a number of places to eat. Very close to Mt Rushmore along with other tourist attractions. Reasonably priced in comparison to other hotels within Keystone or other small towns close by. Parking spaces near the hotel which are shared with other businesses.

We booked a room at the baymont hotel in keystone and it was sold to the ramada inn across the street. The Ramada inn was dirty the hvac did not work. Just too many issues to list. Some of them are even quite comical like they cannot serve continental breakfast. Because there's a restaurant down the street. And it's illegal for them to do. So is what we were told.

The location is great, close to many popular things to do around Keystone. The bed was super uncomfortable. The curtain rod in the bathroom was rusty and the shower curtain was grimey. The room was clean other than that. The shower head was really low, so if you're taller, it's not the best shower experience. Not a lot of space in the rub either.

Poor cleanliness and maintenance standards. Our room had several locations of mold with the worst being a failed bathtub fiberglass repair. Based on some other minor issues it was clear they don't care about how the rooms look. They also do not have cribs even though I called 2 different times to confirm a crib was available (once before booking and again 2 weeks before stay). We ended up making it work without one but would've much rather had our baby safe in her own bed. The room we were in also had the headboard of the bed up against the wall that the loud elevator shaft was on. This made it hard to sleep in. And lastly we found chips on the floor from a previous person that weren't ours which aligns with poor cleaning practices.I did like that the hotel was close to restaurants and shops though. Just wish they had tried harder to make things right and at no point offered a refund even after asking with the issues around no crib.

During our stay, we booked a suite with a jacuzzi. The room itself was nice and small- but perfect for our needs. It had 2 queen beds, a small kitchen with a stove (a few plates and pots for our use), microwave, mini fridge, and cabinet space. We had room 222: pool view, which was very nice to peek at, and the fitness center right below us. We used the pool and hot tub during our stay and it was super nice and clean! Also, it was open until 10pm- a huge win for us! Clean towels were always availabe! And staff was very nice. The unfortunate side to this room was that the floor wall is super thin. Our first night we were woken up at 4am because of someone stomping around below us. We could literally hear and feel every step. The floor creaks were very loud and vibrations from the movement would literally shake us in bed - very annoying and disruptive for sure! There was a ceiling fan in the room that had not been dusted in I don't know how long, and the hot water to thr jacuzzi would come out dirty for the first 20 seconds then eventually clear up. Also, there is no daily room maintenance. So we would have to find trash bags for our room, go to the front desk and ask for any extra towels, etc. There is no free breakfast or guest discount for the restaurant attached to the hotel either. Good thing the hotel is right next to the boardwalk so it was very easy to walk and grab a bite to eat and explore the town.

We were transferred here after Wyndham Baymont had issues with plumbing and couldn't open the "Good" hotel in Keystone. Was not the room we had planned for. However, their staff is super friendly and accommodating. Whirlpool was nice and hot with strong jets to relieve the soreness from all the walking and hiking we did in the Black Hills. Pool was deeper than we expected and that was another plus. Breakfast isn't the greatest but, the coffee is great and it is fast and free! Jacuzzi in our room was phenomenal. Granted we'd rather have been in Baymont but, we did get a discount and that REALLY made the difference in making it a great vacation for us! Wish I could have done a solid 3.5 stars. Thank you Ramada!

Before we booked this hotel we called and were told they had pack and plays for infants. We even called and confirmed a week before our trip. When we arrived they said they did not so she had to sleep with us. Then I went to bathe my child and found this nasty, moldy looking patch in the bathtub, so she didn't get a bath either. Oh, and when I sat her down on the floor she picked up a chip. We didn't have any chips. Also found mold on the ceiling. So the room was dirty, the bathtub was repulsive, they don't have pack and plays even though they say they did, and our room was right next to the elevator so it was sooooooooooo loud. Constantly. Definitely wouldn't recommend.Food & drinks: No continental breakfast

They treat the staff very badly. I had to see where a girl threw a sheet in another's face and also the maintenance people, I saw that there were 4 of them, but the ones that were hanging out with girls in the rooms were 3 and they knew how to speak English, they treated them badly. to a boy who had bad skin, they are racist towards the same peopleThey treat the staff very badly. I will start by saying our room was clean when we checked in for 3-nights. Our stay went downhill from there. Our room faced the parking lot which is lit up with a lot of lights at night and there are no blackout shades in the room which left our room too bright for sleeping. The bed is hard as a rock. My husband and I both had back aches each morning and tossed and turned all night. We went out to site see the first day and after being gone all day, came back to find our room had not been serviced. We decided to cut our stay short by one night and the hotel would not honor an early check out and charged us for the last night. They take their 48 hour cancelation policy seriously. I sort of expected to be stuck paying for the last night we were not going to use but the desk clerk just kept telling us we couldn't check out early so we got quite a runaround as we were trying to leave. She called her manager while we were standing there and started talking to him about other issues at the hotel rather than our issue. Definitely poor customer service which is what prompted me to take the time to write a review.

The hotel we booked online wasn't actually open for the season yet so our reservations were moved to the Ramada without informing us or asking if we wanted to go there instead, and when we finally got there, both rooms were dirty. The first room had mold on the ceiling and a hole the tub, and the second room had someone else's hair everywhere and some orange brownish stuff coming out into the tub.

We stayed for 8 days and loved it at this hotel. Our room was all new paint, carpet and other items. Wonderful jacuzzi tub and a fireplace you turn on by a light switch. We got towels, toilet paper and soap any time we needed them. Staff were friendly and very nice. We will stay again and again. Very quiet and peaceful room. Thanks Ramada for making our vacation wonderful!!!

Room was dirty, to the point we had to buy our own bedding. Front desk attendant was very rude. There was feces coming out of the jacuzzi jets. We took pictures, and showed the front desk attendant who refused to let me talk to a manager and only offered $10 off our stay. When my 11 year daughter asked for more towels the front desk attendant refused unless my daughter gave her a tip. Would not recommend.

TV didn't work, jacuzzi in room didn't work. In the morning at least 20 minutes after 7:00 still no breakfast was available at least 30 people were in line waiting, so we had to go find somewhere else. They got the TV and the jacuzzi working by the second day. Bathtub had some kind of sticky stuff in it so it didn't seem to be the cleanest. There was no table in the room so we couldn't even sit in our own room if we wanted to have dinner in there. All the employees seemed nice but I couldn't understand 90% of them since they didn't speak English. And it was hard to tell them what was going on if they didn't understand me. For the price we paid it really wasn't worth it.

Beware! I booked a 2 night stay through hotels.com. check in & the first night were fine. Then we came back from exploring the 2nd day to find our keys did not work, so we went to the front desk. They stated that the booking was only for 1 night. I had to show the guy at the desk my booking for him to believe that I had booked 2 nights. He kept saying the “original booking” showed 1 night. I booked the 2 nights once & did not make any adjustments to the booking. Clearly an error within the reservation system. He reprogrammed the cards & assured me we were all set & that our stuff was in the room. Upon arrival back to our room, all our stuff was gone. I have never had an experience like this at a hotel - all I can say is I felt violated. All our stuff had been removed without a phone call or any communication. The answer to this was “well people leave stuff behind all the time.” Maybe 1 or 2 things, but not everything. My wallet, medications, clothes, pillows, everything. To add to this, the cleaning team returned our stuff to the room, but our personal pillows were not returned. So we went to the desk for a 3rd time. the pillows were filthy. They offered to wash them. Our pillowcases were then returned to us still damp & bleach-stained. We discovered a medication was missing. The person behind the desk hadn’t been made aware of anything that happened & “went looking” but couldn’t find it. Just a horrible experience & handled very poorly. Save your money, stay elsewhere.

We had very comfortable queen beds. The rooms were very decent size for our family. Staff was friendly. I liked that it was right on the strip so we were able to leave the room & go walking. I'm giving it a 3 star because we were very excited to get in to the hot tub & the swimming pool. The hot tub was filthy. You could tell from the foam and also the pool was yellow. We were in there for a short time before we decided to get out. The kids were disappointed. Our room door didn't lock. Also no parking. Although it is in a very busy area, maybe they can have more private parking. We had to walk a bit far to find a spot

Need to give 0 stars. Air conditioning was not working correctly, bathtub didn't drain right, toilet didn't flush correctly. Bedding/room musty smelling. Spoke with another guest that had bugs on their bed. Do not recommend.
