So I happened to be working in and around the area where this business is at, and around the back I find two horses that are blocked from their food and water by pallets that had seemed to have shifted and fallen from the stack. So I called the number that is out front on the sign and it immediately goes to voicemail, and the voicemail is full, so I go to the door, but I can't get to the door because the gate is locked, there were cars there and it seemed like someone was in the trailer, but no one came outside to investigate all the barking dogs. I went to the neighbors, they knew nothing about the place, so not wanting the animals to suffer without food or water I jumped the fence and cleared their way. I don't care if the place is understaffed, I don't care if they're overrun, there is no damned excuse for neglecting animals when the place clearly states that it's trying to rescue them! On Monday I'm going to the police department to report this place, then I'm going to the veterinarian to have her come and look at the animals at my expense, and if possible, if I can finally get a hold of somebody, I'd like to take both horses home to Colorado with me. I got horses of my own, I've got plenty of property for them to live on, and hell I might even take a couple of dogs too.

They were able to find a wonderful foster family for my little pups. I was getting ready to move and had no other place for them and STARS came through. Thank you so much.I may not be good with computers, or I just can’t figure it out. But I would like to add a second review. STARS helped me out with one puppy. Then a couple days later someone who had adopted two puppies from myself returned them because they weren’t prepared for any dogs let alone two puppies. Then in an emergency due to my family and me moving her Michelle and her crew really Texan butt and found some foster parents for those two puppies. These guys are amazing. Thank you so much everyone involved with.STARS.

STARS has made a great impact on the community, especially when animals are involved. The team puts the animals in their care needs first and unlike many other places they truly care about finding fantastic forever homes for their rescues. STARS has helped me personally in finding a foster for a cat that was abandoned in my neighborhood when the local humane society refused to take the cat and told us to put him down ourselves if we couldn’t keep him. I have friends and family that have found a loving companion through STARS and would adopt through them again. I will definitely be choosing STARS when I am ready to open my home up to a new companion, and I highly suggest others check them out if they’re looking to find a rescue they’d love to make a part of their family.

The Team at Stars Rescue was absolutely unbelievable. We lost our boys below the Dam at Pactola Lake and they where gone for 7 days. Star rescue brought out a thermal imaging drone. They spent many many hours looking for our boys. We did find our boy due to an amazing community effort and STARS was a major part of that!

STARS microchipped my puppy today. They treated him like he was their own! Michelle was amazing. The care they take in treating the dogs and cats could not be any better!! They answered any questions I had. I am so glad I found them!!!

I recently adopted a 9 month old puppy from the Hot Springs SD STARS (Save Them All Rescue Service). My first contact was with Michelle who immediately understood the type of pooch I was looking for and suggested Max as a good fit. She asked me some questions about my home, other pets in the house, etc., which made me realize she really cared about where her adoptees went when they left her care. I had a few more questions and she replied back within 12 hours. We set up a 'meeting' time and Lori, a STAR foster Mom arrived with Max. She was wonderful and told me all I needed to know about Max and even proved his food and a sweater. I could tell she hated to leave him because she had become so attached to him. I also texted Lori with some questions and she replied back almost immediately with helpful hints/suggestions. I would highly recommend using STARS as an adoption agency - it is a wonderful, caring and knowledgable group of folks who truly love animals. I am so happy I called Michelle and she allowed Max to come into my life.

STARS went out of their way to help us search for our boys when they went missing. We did eventually find our dogs! They have a drone that can pick up body heat. And they provided help and support while we tried looking for them.

My daughter and Max... forever inseparable... Max has helped Teresa with severe anxiety and depression... he is her light in the dark... on Nov 30th Max tested positive for parvovirus...that was the most devastating news we could have received... I called Michelle, we have had many interactions about another dog Chewie... Michelle has also helped us with cat and dog food... That day I called early in the morning about 6am... frantic she managed to calm me down and due to exposure she had me go to her vet... vet tested Max and he was positive, my daughter cried so hard... 4lbs and blood dripping from his behind, the outcome was not good at all. I Took Max home with meds from the vet... and I prayed to please don’t take him away... I called Michelle and let her know the Grimm prognosis... Michelle said she would pray and to keep her informed. I have to say that was the longest 2 days of my life, if he didn’t survive the first 2 days he would not make it... I want to thank Michelle for all her help... For her deep love and devotion to all animals... she is truly an angle sent to us... Max would not of survived without medication and I had no income... thank you so much for your love...

Really glad this place exists, I have two 7mouth puppies that I needed to re-home, and without these guys that wouldn't have happened without the owners, they are god sent and I'm glad they are here.
