Great little campground with tent, RV/camper hook up spots and quaint little cabins. Bathrooms and showerhouse and a little laundry room are great to have access to. A playground for the kids to play at, and pet friendly. 4 miles from hill city, couple minutes from Sheridan lake, great central location to anywhere in the hills. Gas station and bar across the street as well. Fire pits and propane grills available, great spot! Cell Service is hit or miss but it is everywhere in the black hills and they offer wifi.

We (two adults and quite a few children) spent a week in the big cabin again this summer and had the best time! The location is gorgeous. Yes it's next to a road but it's not obnoxiously close. Far enough that we were more than comfortable letting the kids play tag and ride bikes around the campground without having to worry. Lakes, hiking, museums, aerial adventure parks, etc, are all very close by. The owners are so kind and helpful. The communal bathrooms are kept clean and the showers are hot. It's a wonderful place and our family always has fun there!

Currently here now as I type this review. 3 nights total. Very roomy tent camp sites, fire ring, and picnic table provided. Nice bath house and they have laundry available also. Very clean. Highly recommend.Nearby activities: Mt, Rushmore, Custer State Park, Black Hills NP

Had a great experience here. Can't find anything bad about this place. Cabins are a great deal...beats the crowds at the KOA any day.Noteworthy details: Can't say enough about how cool the management and owners are. I would say anything is a possibility at Three Forks Campground.

Jessie was more than accommodating when we arrived without a reservation. He set us up in a spot that wasn't for large 5th wheel campers or any rv for that matter. He even brought us a water hose, electrical cord, fire ring, and picnic table. I definitely would recommend this camp ground.

If you're a tourist and you're looking to tent camp— then look no further. This place has it all. Great vistas, clean bathrooms and the location puts you close to absolutely everything on your to do list. Whether that be Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse Monument, Custer State Park and the list goes on. It's all right there! Not to mention a convenient store right across the street for your convenience so you don't have to go very far to fuel up. I know the biggest thing for anyone going to a campground like this is whether they have working showers etc. Yes, the bathrooms were clean and well maintained. This facility is keycoded for when you need to do laundry or use the restrooms. So if you're not staying at the camp, you're not getting into this facility unless you contact someone at the front desk. The water for the showers were hot and stayed hot through out their use. The showers are located towards the front of the camp so it may be a little bit of a walk. But if you're staying in their cabins then they are literally right there no more than 50 yards away. The laundry machines do have quarter slots. Not sure what the price is...? But be sure to have change if you plan on doing laundry. Overall I had a great experience during my stay here. It's mostly RV campers, but if you plan on tent camping then there are plenty of tent sites available. All sites have fire pits and picnic tables and the campground does provide you with a great deal of wood for a small fee. So.. If you're looking to stay here make sure to make those reservations in advance, because the owners seem to stay busy and it's really hard to catch them when you need them.

tent site was cheap for a quick one night stay when everything else was booked solid. place was a little trashy with some campers playing loud music and swearing. bathrooms were clean. right on the highway so considerable traffic noise.

We love this place its simple but everything you need its there ! And its Clean ! We check few more "fancy looking" campgrounds around black hills but this one was the best ! We will stop by this year for sure if we get there !

I absolutely loved getting away from everything back at home and have a cozy nice cabin. We loved it so much we are planning to have our honeymoon here in May 2022

We did not stay, just filled with water. The campgrounds have cabins, water, damp station. Every place has hook ups, but they r very close to each other.Location is just off the road, close to Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse monuments. The lake camping with no hook ups within 4 min drive if you in motorhome.

We camped here a couple years ago and I still remember it being a great place. While we set up our tent, the owner came up to visit and brought a load of fire wood.

Cleaner than State Campgrounds. No bugs in the bathrooms nor showers. A little traffic noise, nothing that earplugs didn't take care of. For the price of tent camping, can't beat it for what it offers.
