I was in search of a turquoise ring before I left South Dakota. I stopped here on a recommendation and found my ring at a good price. This store is so lovely & welcoming. The gentleman that helped me was so patient as I tried on many rings. He gave recommendations while having a lovely conversation. Super friendly and everything in this store is absolutely beautiful. Highly recommend!

LOVE THIS SHOP!!! We've been to LOTS of rock shops over the years, and not only does this shop have a really great selection of rocks, but the owners are also SUPER NICE! They are always willing to take the time to chat with my son about rocks, which he loves. Great store, great folks, great rocks!

Store owners are excellent and so friendly. I have been up to this store three times now, and every time the staff is always looking to help you out. And a big plus to the store is the dogs that walk around the store, the dogs are super friendly and so cute! The store’s prices are fantastic, too, the best rock shop in the black hills. If you happen to be in hill city or the black hills, you definitely need to check this store out! Definitely recommend everyone should go check it out.

By far one of the BEST rock/jewelry/lamp place I've ever seen !!! I live in Vegas but visit Rapid frequently. Every chance I get to make the beautiful drive to Hill City this is always my first stop. I purchased a onyx lamp 12/2020 and it has been such a fantastic addition to my bedside table. Absolutely LOVE IT ❤️ Owners are exceptional and all the staff have great human relation skills. Thanks for making my visits so enjoyable 😊

Lovely shop with friendly, knowledgeable owners. It was so fun to browse all the beautiful minerals and learn more about them. There are also some sweet dogs who help mind the shop, and they do a very good job of it.

I give this four stars simply because they house some breathtaking displays of Amethysts and lamps! I didn't buy anything as they were too high-priced, but it was gorgeous to see some quality museum specimens! Loved the decor and options, just not the prices!

We went here looking for some specific stones and crystals for someone who is being deployed. We chose some specific to him, but the woman helping us was so helpful, she called the owners to ask specifically about deployment. Both the woman working and the owners went above and beyond to help us find stones that are very intentional to the things we were looking for. I will be going back today. Beautiful shop and beautiful souls! Thank you for your help.

I love this shop! The owners, Mike and Cori, and super personable and kind. Great quality and selection. I got a pair of studs that I'm absolutely in love with! They also have a high-end selection of tea that's great for many needs. I'll be picking up some lamps on my next visit!

Wow! This place has a ton of selections of high quality rocks. A bit on the pricy side. Tons of Wicca and natural books, jewelry, stones, journals, candles, body soaps and all things just natural. Definitely on the witchy side. The staff is very friendly!

Things That Rock is one of the best shops in Hill City. The owners work directly with the customers and their products are super cool and awesome to give as gifts. Most of my Christmas shopping this year came from this store. So worth the visit in Hill City!

Incredible selection!!! I've been trying to find information regarding "Moon milk" and this store actually had a "Moon milk recipes" book! Very informative as well when it comes to stones, rocks, ect. Purchased a couple charka bracelets too. Will come back in the future. :)

Cool shop for rocks, yes, and also jewelry featuring beautiful polished stones. They also have a fairly large section with jewelry findings and tools plus beads from glass seed beads to stone. If you want handcrafted quality or raw materials, come here. It's not expensive and not cheap trinkets either.
