Been to this location many times. Never had an issue till the last time... Purchased a number of items including 5 boxes of daytime cold medicine. Went to put away everything the next morning and realized that none of the cold medicine boxes were in the bags.Called and spoke with the manager (Who was next to me in line when I made the missing purchases the day before and we spoke while waiting to be checked out!) and was immediately treated like a criminal with absolutely no interest in my complaint or any inclination to work toward a resolution.It will make no difference in the grand scheme of things but I promised her I would never make another purchase from DG and I won't. Not because they screwed up but because of how I was treated when trying to resolve things. I'm 64 years old and I felt like a 16 year old being accused of trying to scam them out of-what, $18?!Disgusting DG.

Cashier didn't say anything to me the whole checkout. Rang up my things, gave me the receipt, I said Thank you, and still no response.

We needed a variety store in Hill City. Our local grocery store is limited and way overpriced--and doesn't have clothes and household goods. We live in a pretty little mountain tourist town and have to travel 50-60 miles round trip to shop at a department store. Dollar General is stocked to the gills with just about everything. The sales are great. The staff works hard and are friendly and helpful. I'm glad they established a store in our little town. We are so lucky Angie is in charge. She knows what we need and where to find it. Just love her. She deserves a promotion and a huge bonus. Yay Angie!!!

Friendly, hard working employees that are always willing to help regardless of being understaffed and definitely underpaid. Prices are fairly low considering they are often the only place open and have little competition nearby.

First of all when they came here their hours was great from 7 am to 10 pm, LOL now 8 am to 6 pm. Like everyone arriving in the Black Hills is between those hours. 2nd I have every so often transfer money through western union there. Today the clerk decided I guess, that I must look stupid. IF I had not already on line set up the transfer, I would not have been there and would not known what I needed to do when I got there. Pretty simple.

You never see the same worker twice. I go in 2--3 times a month and have never seen the same worker. A big turn over of workers show bad management. Hint..workers are not slaves to be mis treated and over worked and under paid. Nice bonus's great benifits and nice pay and a good manager with a happy and good attitude will keep employees. I love the store for the many items at a low price. Good selection. Hill city S.D is far better then the Custer store when it comes to store goods and items. Hill city is cleaner also. 😜

I find what I want in a relatively short amount of time and the prices are reasonable. I get what I need, I'm in and out and on my way. No wading through aisles and tons of stuff I don't need. Friendly staff to boot!

Shelves are always stocked and it is very clean. I go here which is 20 miles away, instead of the Dollar General down the block from my house. The staff are great and friendly.

The store itself is nice and have just about anything you are looking for but the manager Steven IS A RUDE DRUNK! he drinks all day there abd is extremely rude to customers. I'm a local so I've seen it many times this past weekend aLome I went in there looking for something and he sayd :were not a walmart" and walked away. The next day my son, grandma and I ran in there quick to get some drinks fir our camp site mt son had been swimming all day so he was in swim trunk and said he wants alowed in because he didn't have a shirt or shoes abd my son is only 2! The store is nice but steve the manager has got to go!!!!

This was by far the worst dg store we have ever been to. 75% of the shelves were completely empty. There were carts full of merchandise, still in brown boxes that needed put on shelves but couldn't access them..... poor management
