Party of seven - each one of us had wonderful wander toward Mystic on Mickelson Trail with ebikes; some of us made it to Red Fern on our 2-hr ride (a picnic table). Others were too busy admiring scenery, flora & fauna, capturing candid pics.DO NOT WORRY once on the Ebike (after their instruction) u will hands-on figure it out; even those of us who used *7 assist returned to B&B shack with 3/4 battery. Yes, the regular bikers among us could easily have made the 14.7 miles uphill to Mystic or more (the ride back is all downhill) but we were all in to enjoy the family time (16-78yrs old). EBikes are a great way to explore the Michelson Trail. The bikes worked great and allowed us to quietely travel deeper into the Black Hills than we could have on foot. A Great Experience!

One of our absolute favorite activities on our recent trip to South Dakota! We are big runners and hikers but wanted to cover more distance on the Mickleson Trail. We rented e-bikes and had SO much fun! We did ~45 miles during the 4 hour rental period. We were able to book them online just a few hours in advance and they were ready to go when we arrived. The staff was so helpful educating us about the bikes and the trail itself. We decided to head north out of Hill City and got to go through some old tunnels as well as some gorgeous remote scenery. We would love to come back and complete the whole trail. I honestly consider this a must do activity when in the area.

We rented the e-bikes to take on the Mickelson Trail. We rented a pet trailer too so we could bring our dog with us on this great experience. The friendly/enthusiastic outfitter's expertise about the bikes and area were very helpful. The e-bikes were a great help as the trail was a slight up hill the entire way.... We enjoyed seeing the nature (coyote, snake, birds etc.) and breathing the fresh air.

We rented from these wonderful gals for two days in row. They were very cheerful, patient and extremely helpful. We had a terrific ride one of the days, after a shuttle from Hill City to Dumont. The easy ride from Dumont is most beautiful! The other day we rode toward Custer. Also pretty ( much in the forest) but harder until heading home! We recommend the ride and renting from Bicycles and Boats! Enjoy!

My wife and I arrived on time for our reserved standard bikes. They had 2 e bikes ready for us, not standard so we had to wait for them to make the switch. Once that was done we were able to get started with our 4 hour rental. A minor issue but left us with less than a 5 rating. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable.

We had a great experience renting e-bikes from Bicycles & Boats Rental for a day trip from Hill City to Rochford. The bikes were clean, had saddle bags, and performed well. The staff gave good instructions and were patient with us, as we were newbies. We'd definitely rent again!

Great location, great staff who were friendly and explained the e-bikes well, and great bikes which were well maintained. We did the 2 hour e-bike rental and were able to enjoy the Mickelson Trail for a good distance before needing to turn around and start back.

They had bikes and staff available when we arrived without a reservation. We especially appreciated that they provided saddle bags and trail permits. The bikes were great and at a reasonable price. Everyone was very friendly! Thanks :)

My wife and I rented two e-bikes for our ride on the Mickelson trail. We went north and got as far as the 3rd tunnel for a total of 32 miles. The bikes were amazing and easy to pedal on the trail. The staff took very good care of us. They were easy to do business with. Fun time!

The staff was friendly and accommodating. It was the first time I took a long ride using an e-bike. They are fun and easy to operate. We were given great directions and all necessary bike adjustments were made just before the ride. AND a tool kit and flat tire repair kit were provided. (Rarely needed but good to have just in case )Helmets were also provided but were considered optional. Believe me, WEAR THE HELMET as the trail is made with loose gravel and there are many steep falloffs.Overall, it was a great experience!

My wife and I had a great rental experience yesterday. We were stopping over in Hill City on the way home from a trip to Colorado and wanted to try Ebikes since we are traveling to New Zealand in March and there are a number of locations there that have Ebike rental opportunities. We took advantage of the very reasonably priced 3 hour trial rental from Bicycles & Boats. We got our bikes with instruction in just a few minutes and were on our way to a great ride through the Fall colors along the Mickelson Trail. Very nice staff, nice bikes, and right on the Trail. Couldn't have been happier.
