I went in to find a bolt and came out with all sorts of fun things that I needed and didn't realize. The staff was incredibly helpful but let me have my space to shop for what I needed. I don't care what Rich Rigney says. The young kids at Ace are respectful, they are hard working and if you don't like customer service then this place is not for you. Myself. I love the interaction. I've had help with loading my car, finding the right items, because honestly. I don't want to try to find all the stuff myself. All are not young kids, But being a transplant here. I find it refreshing not to see all the things kids could be doing if they are not raised right. So to all the parents of those kids. Kudos. And to the owner. Great job! It's our go to Ace!

Went to this Ace to buy fertilizer for my lawn and realized it was the incorrect bag when I opened the top of it. I was able to reseal the bag and was told I’m unable to return the bag because it had been opened. That’s just bad customer service regardless of the circumstances I did not use the bag and was just there 15 minutes ago. Asked to speak with a manager to see if we could just exchange it and the front counter guy on his ear piece said the manager told him that we are unable to return it. Bad customer service honestly probably could’ve gone to any other place and I bet they would’ve returned my bag and at least have offered some sort of in store credit or exchange. I won’t be returning.

This place is notorious for their young employees being very annoying the instant you walk through the door. I don't care to have anyone "helping" me unless I ask for it. Let the customer initiate the conversation for assistance. Otherwise I can't help but feel like I walked onto a used car lot where the lot lizards are waiting for prey and work off commission. I will ignore anyone who operates that way and will prefer to make the drive to Sioux Falls to go to Lowe's or Home Depot. I am more knowledgeable about most items that Ace carries than those who try to force their assistance on me. They should concentrate more on just being available than on the prowl.

I understand it's the helpful place but anytime you are by the grills a pushy sales person comes and bombards you. Sometimes you know what your looking for and a nice quiet no pressure shopping trip is nice. There is helpful and overly helpful (aka annoying)

This ace hardware operates independently from the national chain and refuses to abide by their rewards program. I would recommend shopping elsewhere if you are a loyal ace rewards member. Driving to Sioux Falls has saved me 10+ dollars every trip thanks to them abiding by the ace rewards program.
