There are a good number of different options and brands. We also found items here we aren't able to find anywhere else but there were also items we with we could have found here but could not. For example, we were looking for sausage patties and we did find them, however, they were really small and would need two for a breakfast sandwich. So depending on what you're looking for, you might find it but it may not be right for the job. That being said, I do love the large meat selection and I bet if I asked, I could find large sausage patties at that back meat counter. We found the other items we needs and were very content with our trip in.

I have been shopping here since they opened and have loved going there. Last night I stopped there to grab a few things and they were busy because of the storm coming in. I went to the self check out for the first time and there was a gal standing by watching and helping if someone needed help. It was my first time using the self checkout and I was going to move one of my bags to my cart so I had more room to bag more of my stuff, she quickly snapped at me said that I had to leave my bags there until I was done scanning, I didn’t know that’s how it worked. She then backed up and when I looked over at her she rolled her eyes at me. I have never experienced that kind of treatment in that store and it really upset me !! I’ve never seen her there before so she must be newer.I have always believed in supporting our local stores but this event will have me going elsewhere !! She was there to help people not roll her eyes. Very unfriendly and unprofessional customer service.

Store is very nice. This Fareway does not unpack freight in aisles while there are shoppers. Room for 2 carts to pass each other easily. They probably carry 10 brand names of each product. Good selection. Produce looks fresh. Bought hamburger and the hamburgers on the grill were great! The butcher who waited on me was very nice and patient while I selected 8 different meats. He was willing to package the meats in separate packages for a family of two. Very kind. Checkout person was cordial and friendly. The person packing the groceries in bags offered to push cart to my cart. The ultimate of Customer Service!

Love this place! You get to know all the people there like family!Not a fan of the self check outs at all. The reason I loved going here was because of all the personal service.It's now like dollar fresh and Walmart. Boo!

The store's are very nice and clean. I have always had good service in every one I have been to. The meat's are always top notch. If they have a down side, it's that the selection is sometimes limited. Also seems to be area specific, if that is a bad thing, then that would be about it.Still one of my favorite stores to go to.As of 23 November 22 still a nice local store with GREAT STAFF. I have always had a good experience here. Sometimes they might not have all you are looking for, it is a small town store, but nice prices and helpful staff

Not only are the staff courteous and friendly, their bathroom is amazingly clean. I've been to other grocery stores where you can tell there's no pride taken in the work, but not this place! Traveling through from Wyoming and I will definitely make it a point to stop back in here when coming back through. If I could give 6 stars, I totally would!

This store is a great addition to our ever growing town! They have a huge selection and don't charge for things like bags and carts like other discount groceries do. They bag your stuff and if your cart is full when you check out they help bring it to your car a load it without you having to ask. Always going above and beyond to please!!!

Great store with competent friendly staff. The store is well organized and clean. The meat counter is the reason to stop for me. People behind the counter that know about meat, are attentive and willing to accommodate your request. Grilling season is great when you have a place to buy meat like this. I'm grilling year round now. Thank you for coming to Harrisburg fareway it's greatly appreciated.

Fresh veggies not as fresh as I would like, packages broccoli crowns were rubbery when I open ed them up at home. Got over charged for radishes, she thought I had two bunches but when I got hi r it was only one. No real bakery to speak of, items are brought in, gluten free section which is nice, they take your purchases out of your cart as they ring them up, no conveyor belt and walk your groceries to your car with you. Great location for a quick run to the store in Harrisburg SD.

Normally, I’d have great things to say about Fareway in Harrisburg. Most of the staff is super friendly and in the past I’ve had great customer service. It’s been so nice having a grocery store right in town. Today, I bought some groceries and the paper sack was packed full with everything, including a bottle of captain Morgan. I grabbed the paper bag out of the car and the bag and the bottle broke and got everything in the bag all sticky and dripped all over. Normally, I wouldn’t call and complain but it was a $20 bottle and should have been bagged separately. I called and the guy that I talked to was very helpful and told me that I could have my husband come pick up another bottle after work so that I didn’t have to get our baby all loaded up and head back. He said he would fill Sheila in and to just let them know. My husband gets there and she was extremely rude. She told my husband to go grab a bottle and taps on it with her fingernail and tells him that it’s hard to believe that the bottle broke. If I would have known that she was going to act like we were lying, I would have taken a picture of it but unfortunately, the glass was all over and it was a sticky mess in my driveway and garage and I didn’t expect that kind of reaction.

Love it when the African American gentleman who is older and has worked the for some years remembers me and my husband even if we don't get to go there to often from the meat department this guy is so friendly, happy and remembers his costumers which makes my day and he seems to be the only one that remembers. Best customer service for most all grocery stores in this state. Friendly employees make a big difference. Thank you 😊

I have come here multiple times and have been satisfied each time. The meats are great for grilling with the girlfriend. They really seem to care about their customer service. 5/5 will definitely come again when it gets warmer out. My grill season thanks you.

A great store all around. The customer service is always extremely helpful and friendly. The food quality is top notch, especially produce. It’s also far less busy than some of the Sioux Falls stores, which is great during the covid era.

We LOVE having Fareway Grocery here in Harrisburg. And, it's not just because it's our ONLY grocery store here in Harrisburg either! We're delighted to have the Iowa born food chain migrate into our territory for a number of reasons. Certainly for their friendly staff and their brand new building full of beautiful bargains. But also because of their beautiful use of a small space while keeping wider, easy to flow through aisles. Come see for yourselves! The entrance leads you into a produce section that sparkles with fresh color, and almost reminds you of the importance of eating a healthy, balanced diet. Of course, you can also find your favorite junk food as well! It'll be faced nice and neat, on a shelf here and there, somewhere on your way to their fresh meat department. Don't forget the propane! Yes, they have that too. 😀

I had thought that with Fareway coming to town it was going to be one of those stores where you pick up an emergency item or two but never actually do your full shopping there because it would be small town overpriced but boy was I wrong!!! Fareway actually ends up being where I do most of my weekly shopping because they are priced according to the other grocery stores in town but also because they always have the best weekly sales so I always end up saving money by going there. On top of that they have a wonderful staff and they always take your groceries out to your car and load it up for you! Excellent all the way around!!!

My husband visited this store and location for the first time a couple weeks back and when he arrived home his exact words were “that was the friendliest store I’ve ever gone to!” Great selection, awesome prices on meat, and they even offer to bring your groceries out if you allow them to!

Fareway is great. Harrisburg Fareway exceeds expectations on a regular basis. Dustin is a wonderful manager who supports the local community and schools. Mike the meat manager is hands down the greatest butcher i have ever met. He knows his product he doesnt just try to sell you on stuff he gives his honest opinion and it is based on his experience with the product. I visit this place more than i probably should but have never had a negative experience.

Fareway is amazing, one of the best things about moving to harrisburg sd. Everyone is so helpful. Up to and including how they will carry out your groceries for you and help load them into your car. Not to mention their meat department is fantastic. Everytime I've bought meat there it's been absolutely scrumptious. Never disappointed with them. Never. A great place to shop, hands down.

Fareway has been a welcomed addition to this growing town. The staff have been friendly and helpful and I love the quality of their meats. I just grilled up some of their bacon wrapped sirloins and was thoroughly pleased.
