I've been going to the large animal clinic for almost 2 years for my dogs health and care, today she went in for shots and had a histimine reaction and her face ended up swelling up, after one call they let me come back and within 20 minutes they had her on an IV drip and only charged me 5$, very very reasonable prices and very amazing and caring staff, they could tell i was flustered and assured me they would take care of her. when i got her back she was considerably better and were very informative of aftercare and to reach out if she had a continued reaction. again, very amazing staff and i couldn't be more thankful.

Dr. Jamie and the crew are great. We recently had our Rottweiler in for a checkup to find out she had Osteosarcoma in her rear legs. Needless to say we were pretty shook up. Jamie took the time to answer my questions. Listen to my suggestions and develop an end of life plan for my furbaby. When the day came for my baby girls final day, Jamie again was caring and companionate. She "gets it" and what it means to be deeply connected to an animal that you love. If you want a professional animal expert that still has a warm heart. Call Dr. Jamie. You wont be disappointed.

Won't be using their clinic anymore. Remember the sign is Dakota LARGE ANIMAL. Obvious they have no interest in the smaller pets. I asked if I could bring in stool samples as a starter to find out what was wrong with my cat. Sure but pay first and then left me waiting for the results. Didn't know how long it took to get the results, so eventually I called and they had the results, they just wasn't going to call me. My cat was sick and when asked for help, I got we're too busy take the cat somewhere else. They don't care. Totally don't recommend them. I wanted to do service in Harrisburg but after that, I'll drive into Sioux Falls where they have veterinarian doctors that care about small pets. Those pets are family.

Vet spent more time hanging out with her previous customer in the lobby rather then moving on to the next customer. Took about 45 mins. for them to finally approach me and ask why I was here(at this point I was waiting for 45 mins past my appointment time with my irritated pet still in its carrier). I stated that I was new to Harrisburg and wanted to establish my pet here and make sure vaccinations were up to date. Vet told me there’s no reason for her to be examined and left without my pet getting any sort of care or even a glimpse from the clinic staff. Felt very rushed, even though they spent a lot of time with the previous customer chatting away in front of my face and we didn’t even make it to the examine room. The whole clinic was chaos the whole time and seemed extremely disorganized. Will not be coming here again.

I asked that my dog's height be measured and the receptionist advised me they can and will do that. After the appointment was over, the vet came out to the car to bring back my dog to me (as owner is not allowed in to observe the appointment currently). He laughed when I asked if my dog's height was measured and said - we only measure horses. A whole 7 minutes transpired between the tech coming out to get my dog and the receptionist calling to take my credit card information and telling me my dog was done. So there is no way they spent even 5 minutes examining my dog. When the vet brought him out and said what he had to say, he was not very patient and did not seem to want to discuss anything other than say what he wanted to say. He mentioned perhaps switching food types but when I asked what brands he suggested, he would not say what they were. When I called to let the receptionist know that they should not tell a customer they can and will measure a dog's height, if in fact they can't or will not do that, I was told they would "let the other girls know". There was no apology. This is not acceptable customer service.

Great staff. We have used Dakota Large Animal for our family dogs and cat for the last 13 years now. They have helped our animals live a long and quality life. When it came time for our pets to be put down they were very sincere and respectful at a hard time for our family through the whole process.

I know they are a large animal clinic, but I feel like there service to small animals have decreased. They no longer take after hours calls on anything small bread. I wanted to come in today to get a wound to the eye region cleaned up. And they did not have time for a walk in. And recommended the ER again. During the appointment they give you all the attention you need. But to get seen is harder

Started coming to Dakota Large for emergency visits with our horses. Once we moved closer they have become our primary vet for our horses as they are knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. Pricing has always been fair and nothing crazy, which is important cause owning and taking care of horses isn't cheap.

Took my puppy here for a cough.. they told me it was probably nothing but gave me antibiotics just in case since he is a short nose breed. Turns out he has pneumonia and has had it before I took him there. They didn't even try to see if anything was wrong just got me in and out. Luckily All City was able to properly diagnose him so we got the help we really needed

This is the best equine veterinary facility in the area. Dr. Jensen and Dr. Jamie Z. are amazing lameness vets, and always truly care about our horses. I cannot recommend them enough!

Doctors have turned into money makers and receptionist is not friendly. Horrible customer service. I feel like it’s all about making money now and not caring for the animal. I have chosen somewhere else that is more professional.
