I loved my stay at Pickerel! I had trouble finding the place, but once there we really had a nice time. The cabin and bathrooms were clean, the park was well taken care of, and the lake was just beautiful! So clear & warm! The trails were fun too, of course! I would love to come back!

Lovely area with lots of trees and hiking trails. Campsites are spacious and very clean, as are the restrooms. Play area for younger children and several beach areas. Fish cleaning station, along with fresh water and dumping area. Only 30 minutes from Fort Sisseton. Take the tour or attend the reenactment in Spring.

My family and I come here every year. Campground is clean and well kept. Staff is very friendly. Cabins are nice and well kept. We love it here!

We had reserved a site online so didn't know exactly what it would be like. Got there (first time here) found there is no office to ask questions. Found our site only to find it must have been a new site as it was very soft & uneven. Good thing we carry a lot of extra boards to put under wheels. Don't like the extremely high banks so you are at risk of breaking a leg every time you step out of camper. Fire pit not very close. Site was mowed & clean. Stayed 3 nights & mostly enjoyed our time here. It is a long way off the main interstate.

Cozy heated cabin with AC unit we had very good mattresses. Bunk bed with bigger bed on bottom and another single bed by itself and a small table with wood benches. Very nice heated restrooms with 2 showers. Close to Lake access.

I love the West side to this lake. It has a boat dock, swimming area, beach with not too much debris, nice metal picnic benches. Even boat rentals along with a hiking path.

W had so much fun!! The people were so nice and helpful!! Our cabin was GREAT!! And the food from the Lodge was amazing!! We even caught fish lol!

Beautiful park & wonderfully kept. The gentleman who "hosts" is a real gem. He's great with the kids & you can really tell he loves to teach about nature!

This is a wonderful, well maintained park with nice showers, electric hookups, a dump station, boat launch and swimming beach. The East side has a fish cleaning station and a large natural sand beach. Lake is large with great fishing.

Very beautiful. Great campsites that aren't crammed together, and an RV dump site! Wasn't able to fish the lake so it could be a 5 star.

I stayed when the lake was still frozen and it was beautiful. I can see this being a nice place fo camp during the summer.

Facilities and Boat Ramp are kept very nice. Fishing was tough because of the wind.

Both sides of the lake have swimming, though I prefer the west. Nice hidden gem.
