Motel is under new management, Amore and Shannon are great. They are very improving the Motel, extremely polite and try helping anyway they can. Rooms are clean and if you need anything the staff try getting what you need. Beautiful view by the creek.With any motel stay, all you have to do is explain what you want. If you want microwave and refrigerator let them know. If you want a garden view of the creek, just ask. The rooms on the front side of the motel have a view of the parking lot, the rooms on the back side have a beautiful view of the creek.They also have a back patio with a beautiful view of the creek. They have a heated smoke room, hot tub and heated swimming pool. The hot tub is my favorite.

Got the smallest room with no microwave or fridge! Not what I expected for my 60th birthday. They don't even come clean your room! It had a ripped carpet, rude front desk person, and the pool was unavailable 🤬. I will say the staff in the small casino were wonderful! I will never stay here again!! I even booked a room looking at the creek and got a street view!!

Friendly service. Clean rooms. Trolley stops right out front to take you downtown Deadwood. Not a fat walk if you decide to walk either.Rooms: Very clean.Nearby activities: Walking trails behind the hotel. Inside Swimming pool and hot tubSafety: Nice area just outside of town. Great experience here! It’s an older, smaller building but they do a really good job on the setup inside. Staff were all great with our interactions. Loved the friendly atmosphere. Town is pretty cool too. Was worried as we had small kids with us. Minus some other adult tourist talking about inappropriate things in front of the kids and other families, the kids loved every minute of it.

Very nice hotel. Evening bartender was a blast! Everyone was friendly. Slots were meh. The only real negative was the breakfast. Hard boiled eggs, waffles and cinnamon rolls were the main items. Hot breakfast items would have earned 5 stars.Noteworthy details: Trolley stops at hotel about every half hour to downtown casinos. 2 bucks to ride. No day passes. Our room had a view of a creek. Very nice.

I want to keep this place a secret. but no need to be selfish. Best.....place......ever. It has been my favorite place to stay in Deadwood for years now. Come here and you will experience pleasant and accommodating staff, beautiful location, and an excellent welcoming atmosphere. Try the cinnamon rolls for breakfast they are just like grandma used to make them! Casino staff are prompt with service and drinks, and the cafe has great pizza. Enjoy!

I'm going to leave a very honest review stayed here from Dec 22 to Dec 25th two roomsCheck in was good for my room AC was on it was ice cold in room then the lights all had to be manually turned on or plugged inRoom smelt like old basement room chairs where so weak and wobbly that you don't dare sit on themNo channel guide for TVThe third and final night not alot open Dec24th we ordered pizza asked front desk if he had or could get plates out of breakfast area gave us a no not just no om sorry like we where a burden then my adult son said ok thanks for nothing noticeing the tone the guy used he guy chased him down hallway being rude and saying if I go into casino I could lose my license the guy was just being lazy no asked him to go to casino thr breakfast areaI will say crystal went all out and Shannon was greatthe house keepers where great nice and friendly I was disappointed being a Wyndham member and staying at Wyndham im shocked when the breakfastWas not a brand standard Wyndham breakfast I was very disappointed with that and didn't mention it tell me that until aday before my arrival so it was to late to cancelI will look else where before staying again but I would stay if emergency

A great Super 8 motel within walking distance of main street Deadwood. They have a nice Continental breakfast available along with a pool and small casino.The beds were really comfortable and I had a very nice sleep. The water was hot in the shower and the pressure was strong.

Rooms were great, quiet place to stay. The girl at check in was a bit slow and talking on her cell before helping me with questions. Dissatisfied with the continental breakfast. Not much healthy food to eat. I have stayed in other super 8's and they had a wonderful breakfast variety of foods to choose from. For the money I spent to stay I think the continental breakfast should of been way better. That is one of the reasons I chose super 8

Called ahead to ask about changing from King to double Queens. After we paid for the room in advance, the manager refused to occomidate the request of changing room from king to the double queen. Although each paid for advance reservation did accomidate us with same request. He said, "You booked thru a 3rd party." And, most importantly, the site states "PET FRIENDLY," which is not accurate. The bed and the creek view were the only saving grace. There are a lot more hotels in the area to choose from besides this POS.

Check in was a nightmare…paid online but at check-in was told it wasn’t paid. I had rented a double room but one bed was broken. I assumed it was the box spring that was broken. It felt like you were going to fall out of bed all night. My 19 y.o. son was yelled at twice when he came into the casino/restaurant to chat with me and his 4 other relatives that were there. We understood the gambling age and he was by no intentions trying to gamble. The hostess took it way farther than was necessary. Even implying that it was a gambling town and he wasn’t welcome. At almost $300 a night, I expected better treatment. I’m thinking the hostess could use a vacation and some training on tact. I will not be back.

We did not have access to a verity of food but most of all, we didn't have access to quality food. This is very important to people with food allergies, food intolerances, etc. We were under the impression by the amenities listed for this location that there was a restaurant but there is not. There is a small area where an employee heats up snacks and the breakfast offered was limited and of poor quality. We had to leave the hotel to have all our meals at a restaurant. This would have been alright for a few of our meals but all of them.My husband and I have gone through a lot lately with a family death, etc., etc. so when my husband said we would take a trip for a few days, I was very excited. We have not had a vacation of any kind since 2012. Neither of us enjoyed the stay very much at all at this hotel so we really didn't get the rest we needed.

To the owner/Mgr of Deadwood Super 8. Thank you for replying to my review. I hope you are serious about checking on the Donnie situation in the casino. We brought 11 people to stay there, 8 of whom were gamblers. I hate to see one of your staff members ruin the experience for others when the rest of your staff are professional and good workers. Larry is an older gentleman who also did a great job. He quietly went about his business checking seats, cleaning and waiting on people. The other gal who was on Sat or Sun night, I believe, (I can't remember her name) has been there a long time and also does a great job being visible and giving good customer service. I did want to give credit to the others that deserve it. We hopefully will continue to use super 8 as our getaway destination.

This place was a fantastic hotel to stay and had everything we needed after a week living out of bike panniers on the Michelson Trail. The pool, hot tub, smoking deck, and pizza were all just fantastic.But the real gem here is Angela the manager. We spoke with Deadwood pd and the "ordinance officer" for Deadwood about where can we leave a truck for a week while we ride the trail and return. Nobody cared to help. We stopped in and spoke with Angie and said we have a reservation here in a week, where can I leave a vehicle. She went out of her way to help us store it.. Wrote a note to put on the dashboard. When we returned after our ride she remembered us, gave us a ton of recommendations for food and things to do. What a great ambassador for the hotel and Deadwood. Thanks Angie! Thank you Super 8!

Excellent location. Only about two blocks up from Main Street. You can easily walk or take the trolley for a dollar to main st. We vacationed with kids& friends. Casino is very decent with very friendly staff (and if you gamble you get free beer!!) ..Highly recommend this place. The rooms were clean, staff was friendly… Indoor pool and even a smokers lounge ! Beautiful rocky water stream in the back of the hotel & nice view. Free breakfast was basically a carb fest but they made the most fabulous homemade cinnamon and caramel rolls. Literally, to die for. I was gambling late in he evening in the casino and the whole entire place smelled like cinnamon rolls. I asked an elderly woman who was working in the casino (who was very pleasant) and she told me she was making “the cinnamon rolls for the next morning’s breakfast”. Such a gem this place is !!!

The Super 8 motel is very clean, the staff are very professional and friendly they go out of their way to help you and make your stay the best experience you ever had. I highly recommend this place. Love this hotel. Rooms are nice and decently priced and the whole building has a pretty cool layout . I especially liked the rear deck next to the stream . Very beautiful and relaxing place to hang out and have a beer. My only complaint is that the late night bartender came across as pretty cold and unfriendly . All the other staff members were kind and polite though
