Most family dollar store's are mostly the same. You can buy a lot of day to day stuff. If you want to make a quick stop this world be your place to go to. Have a very good selection of items. Large clean store. Staff is very friendly, nice & very helpful. They will usually have what you know.

Good location and easy to find. The store was quite disorganized and I was trying to find inexpensive clothes and possibly a pair of shoes to hike in. The staff was friendly and I ended up only getting shirts and shorts. Maybe my expectations were too high.

This place is Supposed to be a replacement for a grocery store that used to be here. The employees are great. The system they have to work with is alway broking card readers not working can't deposit in to chime can't give cash back. Wow for being the only store in deadwood you would think they would have a system that work shame deadwood needs a store they can Rely on.

I had my experience going in to this place of business this evening. Unexpectedly as all children do we had an emergency and my five year old sonson needed to use the bathroom. While looking for a bathroom, I went to the front counter and placed my merchandise on top of the counter, and asked if there was a restroom that my son could use. Thomas informed me there was no bathroom so my five-year-old son had to hold it while I had to quickly make my purchase and get outside so he could use the bathroom. Very disappointed with the customer service I received and very disappointed in the business. I will not be shopping here again.

The women working were so incredibly kind. This is the largest family dollar/dollar tree I've ever seen. The store was clean. They recommended Miners a restaurant nearby that was awesome!

This has become my go-to Store for most everything anymore.Each time I’ve gone here since the change over , I find more and more items I’ve either paid more for locally or had to drive to spearfish for in the past.It’s clean and more organized than ever before. Great community asset.Weekly shopping!

Went to go there this morning and a sign in the window said closed until further notice. They are the cheapest place close by without going to over priced Lynn’s or to another town but they really struggle to stock and keep things on shelves and now they don’t even follow business hours. It could be a really great place but it is a let down.

Worst place to shop. I used to go there at least 3 times a week now I'll go out of my way to shop elsewhere. Don't stop when the chick with dark hair is there she acts a s though you inconvenience her day by shopping there and nothing,, i mean nothing is ever stocked. They ar either chattin on their phone's or smokin and they will not hang up on their personal cellphone call's when they are at the register. I hategoing in there at all anymore.

Great. I found almost everything I needed. I didn't find pocketsized day planners. I only found 1 travel size Lysol spray. I was hoping to find several more. I use these at my job as a housekeeper. The store was clean and we'll organized. I also couldn't find pajamas for my grandkids ages 4 to age 7. Since the remodeling the store is very nice and clean and organized. Staff are very pleasant and helpful but the store continues to be short staffed.

This store is looking so much better than just a couple months ago. The floor is not littered with merchandise and the shelves are getting more organized. The floors are mopped and cleaned.The one thing that needs work is The area in front off the building in the parking lot. All that is needed is a butt can. And get an employee just for sweeping or raking the leaves and trash. First impressions are not good. Oh yeah, need to improve the lighting on the signage out side. Make it look like some place visitors and locals would like to stop and shop.

I got a 10.00 ( family dollar)gift card from work. Tried to use it but the clerk told me the magnetic stripe was defective. He called customer service & verified the card did indeed have a 10.00 balance on it but refused to either accept the gift card or replace it. Told me to go home & phonecustomer service myself, which I did. Family dollar customer service person told me that it was the STORE CLERKS RESPONSIBILITY to replace the defective card with a new one & then allow me to use the new card as payment .needless to say I will never shop here again.every time I've tried to shop here I've had issues with very rude staff, very poor selection due to shelves being out of most items & questionable cleanliness of the store. I only went back this time to use the gift card I was given. NEVER AGAIN!! This place is poorly managed to say the least

I am glad that the prices for the merchandise are reasonable and the store has what I need. But for the month of December 2019 the night staff closes the doors at 9pm or 9:22pm when the store is supposed to be open till 10pm. I can see the staff inside counting down their register from the outside window. I have been to this store twice now and the doors have been locked. This is bull I doubt I will be back. I can zip to Walmart in about 13 minutes so that's good for me.

Love that we have a Family Dollar here in Deadwood! I bought milk and shopped for cards! I like to shop here. It is a great local store.

Not good you stopped selling hamburger. You can put salads in there. Get rid all the energy drinks that takes up 2 coolers. Why have salad dressing when you don't have any salads. Very poor store.

This Family Dollar store has a large selection of quality, name brand merchandise. Reasonably priced, too. We went there 3 times during our stay in Deadwood, and all of the employees were very friendly.

I stopped in yesterday to pick up a couple quick items and just about walked right out. If it had not been a local business I would not have stayed. It was filthy. It would do them well to hire a janitor. So sad for a needed store.

Wish I could give no stars. Today 5/22 there was a woman behind the cash register. we rang the bell she did not come help us. A man eventually came out of somewhere said nothing to us rang up the things and said next before even handing us our bags. We had to take the recpit off the printer ourselves. Horrible customer service will not return. I will drive to a different town.

The on duty clerk was not very friendly. He failed to greet us or ask if we found everything all right. He just collected our cash and gave our change and didnt even count it back to us. Maybe some training on how to run a register and perform a little customer service is in order. Dont know his name, he didnt have a name tag.

When there was tolet paper and cleaning supplies out at Walmart they had it here.the owner made sure that his customers wouldn't go without. (I love this store)

Legend has it that Wild Bill Hickok, Calamity Jane, Sol Starr, and Seth Bullock all shopped for bargains at this Family Dollar. According to legend, these $1 paper towels were an essential staple of pioneer life.In others news ... this location is about as authentic as the rest of Deadwood 😳

It is such a shame that this is the only store Deadwood has every time I go there they only have one or two people working who are usually sitting outside smoking and refuse to help The shelves are practically empty The store is filthy and they let perishable frozen food sit out for days before putting it away I would much rather drive to spearfish and go to Walmart before shopping here

Amazing the selection here is better than most other local black hills dollar stores I've been too. the staff here is friendly helpful and this store also accepts EBT & WIC cards as well.

Not open 6 pm Saturday labor day weekend. Parking lot closed and store closed. Not convenient.
