Fantastic. De Smet has been needing a store of this type for quite some time now. It was nice being able to grab some much needed items when nearly every other location in town was closed. This will be one of my new go to spots when I'm back in town. Store was clean, well stocked, and had friendly staff working.

Shop there the other day. They were out of a few products that were in their sale flyer. Tall thin blonde gal at checkout was super friendly, and her smile made my day a little brighter. Nice to see someone working there with a positive attitude

The people that work there are amazing they're so helpful friendly and they make me laugh I can go in there and not a very good mood and by the time I come out I'm in a good mood. I just know that I've never had an experience at any Dollar General in Sioux Falls or Brookings or oh where ever it is I go to Dollar General I've never had quite the experience as I do in Desmet South Dakota the ladies that work there are phenomenal thank you Dollar General for hiring those women you got an amazing crew there right now!!!

Not as helpful as one would think a store should be. 9 times out of 10 as soon as you walk to the front to go pay it seems like they disappear to the back corner to stalk shelves. Or who really knows what their doing. Idk if this is some policy DG has or what but it must take some formal training to be so consistently not there right when you need them.

The dollar general in DeSmet I've had it,, they leave trollies and ladders in the isles they close the doors whenever they want not even paying attention to cooperate rules .. if i could get ahold of cooperate believe me i would be a Karen about it

This store is more organized than most. Clear isles, well marked prices, organized product. The assistant manager is very helpful.

Online says they're open until 9, drive 36 mins from Huron to pick up some stuff, and totally wasted our time because the door says they close at 6 now.
