We had such excellent customer service when staying here in April 2024. They helped work with us from the moment we arrived - ensuring that the suite we had reserved was good for our group and ensuring we were located near other family members traveling in our group. They were great about making sure the pool was available for our kiddos (it's a really nice, warm pool!). We even got room service for our two night stay with them checking our garbages and towel supply (which I rarely still see offered in hotels!). We couldn't be more pleased with the customer service at this hotel and will definitely be staying again next time we are in the area.

Great, surprisingly friendly staff and good location, and the room with hot tub is very superb.The furniture was fine. We stayed in 219 the top of the building but they also have elevator. Overalls I would recommend this hotel.

I stayed at this de Smet super deluxe twice in 1 months time. Both times I was very impressed and happy with the service, rooms, cleanliness and location. The staff always had a smile and were sensitive to my reason for being there. When I had any questions they were quick to assist. I will continue to choose this hotel when I make return trips to Brookings.

It was a nice hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was extremely helpful. They even suggested when we checked in on a Thursday to go get dinner before settling in because places don't stay open late. Breakfast was a bit carb heavy, lots of bread, mini donuts and pop tarts. Some fresh fruit would be nice but I would stay there again if in the area.

Room was messy. My dog was eating food off the floor. Hairs were on the shower and toilet. We had a bug join us in bed in the first room. Asked to be moved. We moved across the hall and one of the twin beds had toenail clippings all over it. Hair in the shower. The ac was blowing a mold smell. Again my dog was eating food off the floor. Not clean at all.

The rooms are very dated. The beds are some of the most uncomfortable I've ever slept on. For some reason, they only use flat sheets which do not stay on the mattress well. The carpet looked very old and it was a dark color. It didn't assist to be clean. The furniture had stains on it. The bathroom was clean, but needed some updating. They charged an exorbitant fee for an average at best room. There is also a few for using a credit card which was not disclosed to us. I would have used cash had I known about the fee. The old saying goes, "you get me once it's on you, you get me twice it's on me." Super Deluxe Inn will never get me twice.

We were surprised by the variety of breakfast options, but many were gone early. The pool actually provided pool noodles for guests to use, so that was cool. The rooms are nothing special, but get the job done. There was a large pile of garbage at the end of one hall the whole time we were there, so not sure why that was not handled faster. Large grassy area next to the hotel and parking lot.

This is a local hotel. Rooms were clean and comfy. Bed was very firm, but the pillows were great and I just put few under me to stretch my back while sleeping. I actually slept better here than at a Hampton, which surprised me. Breakfast is basic toaster items, but it works. There is a pool and hot tub, they work and are indoors. Older hotel, well maintained, great AC in the rooms. Room has a small fridge. Rooms were quiet. I'd stay here again.

This is the first hotel that I've stayed at where I felt like I was at a bed and breakfast. Totally top notch customer service. It's a homey feeling, very welcoming and even hooked me up with a room big enough for my ten kids and husband.The pool set up is great with showers and soap provided. The towels in our bedroom were soft and thick. The room is very clean, smells good and each room of our 2 room suit has air conditioning.After a long vacation and staying at a different hotel that really stunk this hotel was a breath of fresh air and a great place to spend our last night away from home.There isn't protein available on the breakfast bar, but our hostess told us right away. I'm glad to know. She provides these little pizza cooker cooker things which I've never seen at another hotel.This hotel knows how to treat people. You will be glad you stayed here.

Fabulous. Pool nice and warm Connie super friendly at the front desk gave us a bunch of great pointers for our Wilder tour around town. Clean comfy rooms, great pillows and mattresses. Super yum french toast and great breakfast options. Highly recommend. Well thought out hotel and we'll managed and cared for with pride by the owners.

This is a VERY nice hotel. Great value and It is run extremely well. It’s everything one would want in a hotel from the clean and extremely comfortable beds to the friendly staff that makes you feel right at home. They have all the basics like fridge and microwave but then they have comfortable leather chairs with ottomans great for watching TV or reading. Another small detail that’s really huge for me is the AC and Heat fan actually cycles on and off automatically. There are very few things more annoying than a fan that constantly runs! Breakfast is very good with a wide selection to choose from. 5 stars all the way. Highly recommended

Horrible service we were not asked if we needed fresh room supplies despite offered anything to sanitize with and the doors weren’t cleaned nor was there any sanitizer left at the door way or any of the door ways none in the common area that I could find and the pool area was not ventilated the windows were all left open and it was very hot uncomfortably humid and no sanitizer I am used to having sanitizer available especially with the increased Covid-19 delta variant and I have children who are to young to be vaccinated there should have been more in the means of sanitation on top of that the key cards were not working correctly so we had no choice but to walk around to the front where non guests were coming to the use the pool no masks on anyone so now we couldn’t use the pool because the crowd of people was very large and my kids can’t swim with masks on very upsetting for my kids the pool was a very good reason we stayed there. The room was constantly humid and made it uncomfortable for us to sleep I will say that the many times I had to go to the front desk I always had to wait for a long time even after using the bell for staff to show up the lack of professionalism was astounding and if you have to stay here bring your own supplies and sanitizer avoid the pools and the gas station has a better spread for breakfast I would not recommend this hotel. Even if they are the nicer one available keep drinking!!!

The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff friendly. My only issues is for the $245 We paid for 2 nights, it would have been nice to have a hot breakfast instead of just toast and donut holes. I know it's a smaller operation but it's not difficult to have waffle irons and batter set up for people. As someone who has worked in the hotel business, I know how important it is for many people to have a hot breakfast available that have a full day of activities planed.

The desk clerk seemed to be angry and did not greet us when we arrived. They did not offer any senior or government discounts during the month of July. The place was really clean but the floor of the pool and the spa had a stained brown appearance. The room was typical hotel room size but we had to get a rollaway bed and it used up much of floor space. Breakfast was at 6:00 but at 6:30 the lights in the breakfast room were still off and there appeared to be only cereal for breakfast. There was an elevator but I heard someone say there was something wrong with it. The water was nice and hot but there wasn't much pressure. The checkout was easy and the clerk at that time was friendly.
