The employees were so nice!! My husband and I are truck drivers and had to overnight in Custer. My husband walked to Dairy Queen to get dinner and when he got there the lobby was closed. He called and asked if he could walk through the drive thru to order and they said yes (most places won't let us do this). Then after he ordered the lady opened the lobby for him to wait for the food because it was cold outside. The food was great and the employees were amazing!!

This was the worst experience I have ever had at Dairy Queen in general. Usually in Custer they’re nice and get the order correct, but this time neither of the two happened. First off, the workers were incredibly rude. It’s okay to have a bad day, but not when you’re practically yelling at customers, glaring at them, and slamming the window. I ordered a chocolate brownie extreme blizzard, and received a blizzard that was brown, but it was because it was filled with cinnamon. I don’t even know what it was. I think that messing up an order once is okay, people make mistakes, but it happened twice. We went back through the drive through to let them know, where the worker rudely asked what we wanted. Dairy Queen was not busy and we just said they gave us the wrong blizzard and they made us a “new” one. This one was cinnamon again even after telling them what we actually ordered. She handed us the blizzard and slammed the window shut and turned the lights off. She was extremely rude about the situation and I expect to get a refund due to the terrible service and getting two disgusting cinnamon blizzards that I didn’t order.

Ordered 2 frozen hot chocolates. Forgot one and it washastily made. The powder for the chocolate lay in the bottom of the cup and was gritty. It was terrible for $6.00. Won't go back.Parking: Limited and difficult to get out.

Reese blizzard was awesome, as usual. Chicken strip were inedible. Hard , dry (overcooked). Ate part of two and threw the rest out. (Reply 2 the reply .. why would I come back? Once bitten, twice shy! Many other options but probably not this store.)

Yummy for your tummy? It was like a Jason Aldean movie. We were in the Custer location and customers stuck up for the worker against a rude coworker. My kids and I have went here for years as a family activity. The big meal with a sundae is perfect. The local in rapid in Campbell is also great. My dad and I painted the owners house and both locations are excellent!

Very dirty had not been cleaned in a while, employees just standing around not taking care of things and served old nasty fries and gravy was bad and they said they could not make any more, also tried to charge us for extra gravy when did not receive it as they said they ran out. Not impressed and hopefully they don't make anyone sick. I threw away my food and did not eat it.

From the drive thru could see a can of roach spray in the window... under staffed I think, waited a long time, dining room not open, employees looked stressed out and the inside looked real nasty, a small blizzard is 5$? we both got blizzards and the bottom third was just ice cream, no yummy treat pieces and they didnt do the blizzard test. Poor guy was really young and seemed a little lost, I dont think they trained him enough :/

The blizzard I got was good but took awhile to come out. Staff seemed like they didn't want to do anything and most importantly didn't know how to do it. The atmosphere is just not there it feels very crowded in there even if your just by yourself. Location is really small and seems understaffed and under trained. Better places to eat in the area.

Oh my gosh, the food was awesome. So much better then the corporate owned one's and the nice lady who took our order was so nice and on point with everything. She needs a raise in pay for sure.Kid-friendliness: None of the BS that you find in the bigger cities Dairy QUEEN'S and I think most people know what I'm talking about.

Literally the single most disgusting, slow restaurant I've been to in my entire life. The building is dirty, the people are dirty, and the chicken sandwich we ordered had a piece of bone in it.Avoid this establishment like the plague.

The young man working was stellar and kind. Handled a tough job( many customers and not enough staff) very well even though he said he was fairly new.Prices have flown thru the roof. Made me want to faint based on my senior income. I made min wage most of my life and this is not sustainable! Not just Dairy Queen of course, but hello?! 7.94 for a large milkshake?!

It’s not often I would think of doing a Dairy Queen review, but I have to give a mention to the best food service manager I have ever seen. Went with my family 6/23 and the manager was amazing. She was getting orders out super quick and even took time to check in on my family (with a young child) to see if we needed anything. I was super impressed with this person and she deserves a raise and at least some credit for being great at her job.

October 18 2022 There’s a kid long black hair who works their late teens early 20s who has a really poor attitude. A woman was charged twice and he stated that she wasn’t, and he can’t do anything about it. I’ve been there when he’s not there and the service is way better! I would eat there more often if he wasn’t working when I got off work. I tried to be nice and let him know that the root beer syrup was out and that the mustard bottle was clogged (even offered to cut the tip shorter with my pocket knife so it would have more flow and not get clogged) and he couldn’t fathom the idea that maybe some customers have worked fast food and we’ve had the same issues and solved them. I’ll come back but I’ll leave a bad review everytime there’s an issue

Don't be in a hurry if you want to eat. Stood inside for 10 minutes and they're too busy wiping down the counters to take our orders. Had four people in front of me waiting so I decided to go through drive through. Two cars at the window one in front of me at the box and I've been sitting here almost 10 minutes. Definitely not worth your time if you're in a rush

Fast service and well prepared food! Great customer service as well! Warning though for tourists, more expensive than other DQs in Hot Springs and Rapid City. Can't blame them considering this is a big tourist area and they are the only one around! Still would recommend them!

The food was fine. But they did not have enough workers. The same guy taking orders had to make all the ice cream for drive through and dine in. Therefore he rarely got to take orders and there was a line of people waiting to order.

Went thru the drive thru & when I went to pay at the window the employee (male) dropped my money on the ground, shrugged & laughed. I picked it up and he dropped the coins on the ground. He found that hilarious. I asked if he was drunk & he shrugged his shoulders. He gave my change back ok. He then shorted our order and refused to make it right without a receipt, which he didn't give me. The woman made another burger and I left. Absolutely appalling that this is how they treat customers. Hard to find employees but this one should be fired.

So expensive -_- prices are 2 to 3 times higher than Dairy Queen’s in rapid city. Place is often staffed by highschool teens, HB2 workers, and local druggies who just don’t care.Atmosphere inside is never clean and always chaotic. Expect long lines and wait times. They have a monopoly on the fast food in town and compete with subway and Pizza Hut by jacking up their prices to tourists who are desperate for ice cream.All the locals know to try and steer clear of this place
