Love this hotel, I've stayed here multiple times on my way through, it is my "go to" in the area. Cozy, safe, clean. The only complaint is that the walls seem very thin, I can hear showers running and toilets flushing in adjacent rooms, and the last time there were 3 lightbulbs in the room that did not work. 5 stars though because I will continue to stay here every time I travel between IA and MT!

Stayed here multiple times in the past, WAS always a great experience, however, this time was a little bit different. Both pool and hot tub were really dirty, no towels in the pool area. However, the room was clean and well appointed. Breakfast was good. Aside from the pool area needing some fairly serious attention, everything else was good.

Oof. Pics from the website make it look nice, but the rusted waterside and cloudy pool was sad. The sewer smell in the halls and in the pool bathroom were unbearable. Hopefully they will offer a partial refund...rooms were in rough shape as well. So sad because it's right by the Missouri River so was thinking it would be a good stop for the fam.

Very clean room, right off the highway prefect location and it's dog friendly. Love the 24 hr coffee bar and free breakfast from 6am to 10am, breakfast has eggs, sausage, cereal, juice, bagels, mini muffins and waffles. Very friendly staff.Noteworthy details: Almost an halfway point to the badlands and the black hills.

We have been travel between Milwaukee and Seattle and back,so we have seen a few hotels in the last week. We arrived after dark and did get the King size, ground floor room we reserved. We asked the girl at the front desk where is a good restaurant, she only mentioned Dairy Queen. We found one at another hotel. When we returned to sleep, the room seemed dirty...grime on heater/ AC unit, black stain on wall, coffee maker broken, there was blood on the duvae'. The towels seemed old and 1 wash cloth was a completely differnt color, nasty. I didnt even want to shower here. The toilet was loose and crooked and there was a tampon wrapper behind it! Yuck! For the high price we were disappointed ! This was 50.00 more than any other place we stayed, for that price the room should have at least been clean and fluffy white towels. When we checked out I asked if we in a pet friendly room and was told no... Expressed my concerns with the front desk clerk who seemed to not care. But said he would speak to the management.

The room was clean, and so was the rest of the facility. It was not run down at all. However, the bed was very hard and the pillows were uncomfortable. So not a good night's sleep at all. When I was trying to load my stuff in the car, taking multiple trips, 2 of the housekeepers were right outside the door smoking, instead of away from the building like they were supposed to be. So I got to breathe in their cigarette smoke. It could have been worse, but could have also been better.

The rooms, staff, and location are excellent. The hallways smelled like smoke and the parking lot smelled like marijuana. The lounge was small, but cozy and friendly. They had a small menu, but large meals and it tasted really good. Wasn't expensive at all. Overall, I would recommend it, but if you have a smoke allergy it might irritate.Nearby activities: There's really not a lot here. Closest restaurant outside of Dairy Queen is 1.5 miles North.Food & drinks: They do have tasty food and drinks at the lounge and a nearby dairy queen.

Breakfast muffins were bought in bulk, separated into baggies. No idea what you were getting. Not good if you have allergies.Rooms: normal rustic looking rooms.Clean and comfortable.

This is the third or fourth year in a row we have come to town for an annual meeting. We stay here every time. Service has always been good. Clean lobby and rooms (I inspect any rooms we stay in for bedbugs - this place has never been an issue), beds and pillows have been comfortable every time, towels clean. We've stayed in a standard room, a jacuzzi suite, and a handicap accessible suite - which I think just meant we were on the main floor, because if that really was a handicap room, it's the same as others, just on the main floor. Continental breakfast has all the standards - but they do a good job keeping more coming. And it's always hot. 🙂 There's a nice small onsite bar which is great. We haven't utilized the pool room, but I've peeked and it looks nice and clean.I didn't think to take pics of the room, because we have never had issues here. It's not fancy, but it's clean and nice, and we like staying here.

I was disappointed in my room for the cost. The cleaning was very poor. There were crumbs on the floor when we walked in and a soap box from the previous occupant behind the toilet. A chunk was missing out of the wall and there was a black stain on the wall. The service was okay, but we had to have our keys reprogrammed more than once while we were there. I wouldn't go back based on our experience..

Pretty good experience staying here but the pool area was extremely strong smelling of chlorine. Everyone I was with thought it was strong as well. Half of us our eyes got irritated just being in the pool room before even entering the pool. I would recommend someone checks out how much chlorine is getting put in the pool. Other than that. It was a pretty nice hotel.

Life saver!! My two kids and I had booked a room online at Westwood in Kimball, SD and got literally screamed at for not understanding they didn't have a pool. So, I didn't feel comfortable staying there and drove to AmericInn in high hopes that they had a room left on a Saturday night. They had one available for us and checked us in right away! I felt the biggest weight off my shoulders and was immediately relieved that we would be ok for the night. The room was clean, ready and perfect for us! 2 queen beds, clean sheets, pool and exercise room kept us busy, and staff was friendly. The pool room is very strong of chlorine and did make it hard to stay in the room long, but the kids had a blast. Their slide is very cool and incredibly fast! Checkout was just as easy as check-in and we were happily ready to start our next 5 hour adventure drive. Thank you AmercInn staff for being our heros on my annual solo trip with my kids to the Black Hills!!Rooms: Very clean, ready and nice. Comfortable beds for those with back problems.Safety: Felt safe and at home for the night.Noteworthy details: Worth the extra money to stay here for their hospitality, cleanliness, and beautifully designed lodge building.

Dated and tired property and rooms. Beds are decent. Rooms are overpriced for a simple 2-star property! Try across the river to better rates and updated properties.UPDATED - 2nd trip in 2 months... Nothing was better, only worse! First room was not cleaned and they just remade the beds with body hairs all over them. Moved us to a pet room that smelled like urine. Updated from 2-stars to 1-star after this last trip. Hope I do not have to stay here again anytime soon.Rooms: Dated paint and popcorn ceilings.Food & drinks: Typical continental breakfast for this level of hotel.

We stayed in Chamberlian on our return from the Black Hills, arriving near 10 pm, tired we grabbed the keys and went to our room.First off you cannot beat the location, easy off and on I90.Before retiring for the night we exterminated several large insects from the room. The next morning we woke to realize there was no shower curtain. The ice machine was leaking over the back entry with a moldy lime on the floor. Basic amenities of shampoo, conditioner and small bar soap only. No lotion, pen, writing pad, etc. Lobby is in serious need of a deep clean and the grounds needed a good mow. With a little TLC this property could be much improved.

“Nice” property. That’s it. It’s clean but dated. Carpet seems like it’s seen better days. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was handicap accessible. Only handrail was so far from toilet it was useless. Bathtub has grab rails, but it seems like the tub edge is 18” off the floor. And the floor is lower than the tub floor, so when you step out you drop down.Doors at the ends of the hallway are not secured, so anyone can enter the building after hours.Morning breakfast was minimal and coffee was so weak (for my tastes) that I got my Tavel pot out of the truck and brewed my own.So, nice place, but priced above value for what they offer.

Nice, clean, no old smell like some motels have. Only downfall. Bed was hard as hell!!!!! I couldn't sleep without tossing and turning. And it was kind of pricey. I could also smell marijuana in the parking lot but it doesn't bother me. Might someone else though.

We made a reservation stressing we needed a ground floor. ( there is no elevator)We were assured of a ground floor by the person taking the reservation. When we arrived (about 6 pm) they said they had no ground floors available. We went down the street to the best Western that could accommodate us on short notice.

Nice hotel! The pool is a bit of a problem. The stairs to the slide are absolutely awful. Hurts my feet! The restroom needs a lock for sure but I give them credit for putting a sign. The changing room next to the pool bathroom looks more like a sauna and the lights don’t work. The room I was in was decent. Plenty of room and a nice view. Unfortunately, there’s no elevator which is unusual. Gas station across the street, no grocery store nearby, nice scenic area nearby as well. I like this hotel. Unfortunately there are barely any options for breakfast. Cereal, waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage links, apple juice, orange juice, coffee, milk, yogurt, pound cake, toast, and that’s really it. The dinner is extremely cheap also. Only $7 for a cheesesteak. And $2 for fries?!! Cheap. Or you got DQ across the street.Food & drinks: Cheap stuff in the hotel.

This is a very good motel. I've stayed at all Wyndham brands all over the USA, and this is probably one of the absolute best I've stayed at. The rooms and the hotel itself are kept up very well and it's very clean. The carpets, beds, bathrooms, and everything else is clean. There's a big indoor pool. There's a gas station/ convenience store and a Dairy Queen restaurant across the street. It's not a Marriott or Hilton, but for a Wyndham brand hotel, it is great!! Would definitely recommend staying here.

Smoke alarm dead battery started chirping as soon as we tried to go to sleep. Dog started having a heart attack. Young kid night desk clerk was very unhelpful. Could not get any of the other pet friendly room keys to work. Finally let us into one room with his managers key but we did not have our own keys for that room. It was after 1:30 in the morning before we were able to get settled into another room. Even if we did not have our dog with us the smoke alarm chirping would have been unacceptable as it went off every 30 seconds much louder than your average home smoke detector. Night desk clerk refused to give us a refund and we had to leave in the morning before the general manager came to work. Still trying to get a refund. Otherwise it seems like a real clean nice place. Maybe young kid night shift clerk needs some more training on what to do in those kind of situations and how to reprogram keys and how to offer better compassionate service. And get maintenance to check the hardwired smoke alarm system and update old batteries.

Never again. Very dirty. Service was okay, however our room smelt very musty, toilet had not been cleaned there was hair in the tub still at the drain. A needle behind the garbage can. It was disgusting. Quiet is the only thing I can say positive about the place.Food & drinks: A nice bar area but had nothing to make a drink very limited. Had only a couple food items you could order which did come hot however hamburgers had nothing but a piece of meat and cheese that was it with 5 fries each.

Nice hotel just off the interstate, only problem is there is no elevator, we were lucky enough to have a bottom floor room. When we checked in there was a phone on the desk that you had to ring for the front desk clerk. It took 5 minutes for her to get back to check us in.The refrigerator in our room didn't work and no one could fix it so they took $30 off our bill, which was decent of them to do .

It takes quite a bit for me to write a bad review. The man at the front desk is incredibly rude. I came in trying to be friendly, nothing but indifference. Okay I can deal with that. Went back up because I needed quarters to do laundry. It said in their room book, ask front desk for change for change. He was rude and curt. Had to ask three different coin amounts just to find out he could only give me $1. I'm very understanding person because I've worked in customer service for 15 years but this guy was terrible. I've stayed at 4 different hotels in the past week and wouldn't dream of leaving the others anything bad. I usually only go to best western and will stick with them after this. Also their room book also says that it's $10 for a pet but it's actually $20. I don't mind because I'll pay but they should update the information.
