They did a very good job with our dog 🐕. He seemed to be happy and wasn't stressed, at drop off or pick up. He was well taken care of and enjoyed the one on one time. They seemed to enjoy him as well

This was a learning experience. I'm not local and asked for recommendations on the best place to board pets, and this one had the most votes. I had a pretty lengthy conversation on the phone with one of the staff about their facilities, a shared room for the 2 with outside run access and I was told I would get updates and pictures on my doggos during their stay via the app, which was important as I would be 4 time zones away for 6 days.First thing I noticed that was strange, they took the dogs collars off. If the dogs were to get out, how would they get identified as they no longer have their tags? I mean sure they are microchipped but your dog should always be wearing its rabies tag. It's the law. I also didn't get to see their accommodations, they just took the dogs off to the left of the entrance (which was not very clean), and that was that. I also specifically asked that the dogs don't interact with others, as one is a rescue (and they are both Australian Shepherds) and they don't play as nice as other dogs.I didn't receive any updates unless I texted and asked, and I never received pictures, not even the "Thanksgiving" backdrop pic I was to receive that they bragged up.I go to pick my dogs up, and they brought them in from the right of the entrance. Ok...maybe they have the same rooms on that side.But we get home, and the dogs are itching, a lot. I start inspecting, and sure enough they now have fleas crawling on them. So, I really wouldn't recommend this place. I have serious issues with places that don't provide service as stated, and obviously some sanitary issue, or the dogs were around other dogs, which they weren't supposed to be.

Great place to board your dogs! Staff is prompt and very helpful. The space out in canton is beautiful, with plenty of room for all the pups to get their energy out. The only real downside I can see is that if you want to pick up your pups on Sunday, you can either drive out to canton, or you’re out of luck. But otherwise, the shuttle system they use is perfect. Extremely reliable resort for my two pugs.

This is a fantastic place to board your dog. Everyone helped make our nervous dog feel comfortable and have a wonderful stay. I am so grateful Elese (employee) saw my post online asking for recommendations to board nervous dogs. Her detailed response is what made me feel like this would be a good fit and the pics she got of my girl has us coming back again. I know you won’t regret boarding your pup here. 😄

I get to go outside anytime I want, and my humans don’t even have to bathe me when I come home. My humans have know Tom and Sarah for years, and trust no one else with me.

Tom will forever be in my phone for the training of any dog I get. His approach is so loving, and you really feel like your dog wants discipline just as much as you want it for them. He really helps show you how to be a better owner and raise a better dog. I've seen him multiple times, and every time I have learned something new.

Our dog has always been treated well and is always excited when getting dropped off. The staff has been kind and accommodating if we had to make last minute reservations or changes. The shuttle to bring our dog into town has also been very convenient when we have used it. Our grooming experiences have also always been good and we are always pleased with our dogs appearance after he gets cleaned up.

We have 2 dobermans that have stayed at the resort for several days at a time on a couple occasions and we couldn't be happier. We even had a few extra detailed instructions for the staff regarding our "spoiled babies" and they were always accommodating. We have always requested a bath/grooming for our dogs before we arrive to pick them up after we've been gone, and they have always smelled wonderful and their coats have felt amazing! In short, if our dogs seem happy (even when we drop them off), then we're happy.

DO NOT BOARD YOUR PETS HEREI would give zero stars if I could.New to the area, decided to use this place since it was close to home.I dropped off my healthy pets. (Young cat and elderly dog) We have used pet boarding places before pretty regularly, because of work. The animals know the routine. Our dog actually loves it. We also decided to have our dog washed while he was there, since he was due for a bath.When we went to pick them up, the girl at the counter told us we could go in the small room by the main door, and get our cat. The smell in that room about made me sick. My cat wasn't acting like herself either. My dog came out whimpering and whining which he had never done before.After returning home, our animals odd behavior continued. My dog was really on edge, and just not himself. My cat kept flopping down, and making weird noises.My dogs coat, which we get MANY compliments on the softness, felt like straw. He also kept itching. (The cat was also itching) Upon inspection, I discovered my dogs entire belly was covered in a rash and sores. I also found adult fleas on both animals.The day after we picked them up, my cat took a turn for the worst. She was sneezing, coughing, very congested, had a high fever, would not move, and would not eat/drink. I was able to nurse her back to semi normal behavior after 4days of constant care and antibiotics. It took her a few more before she wasn't lethargic anymore. It has been a couple of weeks now, she is still not 100%, but we are making progress.I don't recommend this place at all. I've never experienced anything like this with a boarder, and I hope no one else will either.

Precious Pets in an outstanding place to board your pets. Our two little pups love it there. They don't even look back as they head in the door for a stay. We always feel comfortable leaving them with Precious Pets when we need to go out of town.

They have been looking after our various dogs for 10 plus years. They have always taken great care of our older dogs and younger puppies we have had through the years. I've had dogs that like being there as much as they like home. The staff is friendly and kind.

We always go to precious pets! When we bring our dog in, staff know her by name and get excited to have her stay! She gets plenty of play time with other dogs and comes back nice and tired!

Precious Pets in Sioux Falls and their Country Resort south of town have got to be the best pet care facility and staff anywhere remotely near Sioux Falls. Definitely worth your time to check them out!
