Loving the new manager Windy. She is from Texas and has 0 time for bs. Sarah and her have cleaned up the store so much! It looks amazing. Hopefully they will be getting some more employees soon. Whoever found Windy needs a metal because you found something rare, so PLEASE don’t lose her. We love her and her accent! And most of all loving her no excuses attitude. You rock Windy.

The aisles are constantly full of carts of stock that need to be put away so it's near impossible to shop for anything in certain areas, or get around with a cart or if there is another person shopping in that area. They can't get enough staff, I'm guessing because they pay too low of wages and because the person managing the place is terrible at it. In addition the hours are constantly varying, or they are just randomly closed during the times they should be open, with no explanation. None of this happened when Cindy was managing. Although I doubt doing a review on here will make them improve anything, considering the number of poor reviews that are on here and the store just continues to be a bigger joke every day.

I have stopped at this location more then 10 times in the past 3 weeks and THEY ARE NEVER OPENED..... MANAGERS ALWAYS OUTSIDE SMOKING TELLING EVERYONE THEY ARE CLOSED.... I WILL NEVER RETURN THIS IS A WASTE OF MY TIME EVERYTIME TO STOP THERE AND THERE CLOSED... Just close the place already....

One of the dirtiest and crammed full stores I have ever seen. Impossible to steer a cart down most of the aisles as they are full of stock items on carts. Floors are filthy and front door has been boarded over with plywood for quite some time. Refrigerated and frozen foods are hit or miss due to no stock and equipment failures.

Walked in earlier to get some items wasn't very impressed with manager Wendy... she did not make me feel very welcomed in the store. Had a terrible attitude. You lost business today.

I had gone in Saturday to get a few things, I ended up getting more than I had wanted but I was glad to for my nursery for my baby. I returned everything except what I had gone in for and the manager there was just very rude asking me why I was returning it, and when I gave her reasons she was demeaning about it saying I don’t understand why you even bought it then. I lost my baby that morning and I was trying to not cry at the cashier counter because of her comments. Zero customer service, absolutely rude and no empathy. You don’t need a damn reason why someone is returning things. I will not be returning to Canton’s Dollar General ever again if they let a manager like that manage their store. Absolutely appalling.

Severely understaffed, store is always sloppy, wifi doesn't work for their store cart App.Hours have been Severely limited, where they don't even open until 10am and close at 6pm- they are open the hours people work.They can do so much better and this store needs a lot of TLC

Had half hour before work and had only four items then they had 6 people in line and had to do a exchange but cashier who had been there for 2 months obviously was not trained right because she still didn't know how to do a exchange had to wait 5 minutes for manager who was in her office to come over and help then manager didn't even get that done right so they rang up stuff all over again and so then another 10 minutes later we had no choice but to leave for work which almost caused me to be late for work all because management and cashier girl don't know what they are doing and I've been a cashier for years and any new job you go to should train there employees right for at least 2 weeks or more depending on if they get it or not. I am done coming to this store in Canton I will just have to go to Lennox SD as they are not so slow and can run the cash register and the store there is friendly and cleaner.

The cashier is extremely rude and even argued with me and had the nerve to tell my husband that I was causing a scene when all I was doing is trying to show the manager that the sign I had seen for pop being on sale was under the 12 packs not the 6 packs and I would not have grabbed the pop if It was not for the price of the sale tag. Then she tells my husband and I have you don't tell her I said that about her.

Signs say face covering required. No employees make any attempts to wear masks so that customers therefore don't wear them. No hand sanitizer in sightNo wipes either and they don't disinfect counter or carts either. Aisles are a cluttered mess. Employees chat with each other while ringing you up and use profanities.

About a month ago they didn't have any handicap parking, inside was full of merchandise that needed to be put on the shelves making it a challenge to walk around on arm crutches, hard to see items on the shelves and could not get items when the shelves are blocked and I'm trying to figure out why it's called dollar general when most of the items are more than a dollar but other than that it was ok

Should update Google business hours since you apparently close at 2:00 pm now instead of the listed hours of 9:00 pm. Not very convenient.
