We have been taking all our animals to Sutton Veterinarian since we first moved to Brookings in 2001. Dogs, cats, 4H rabbits. We moved away for a few years and came back and Jenny remembered us like it was just yesterday. They are good people, wonderful and caring with the animals.

I took my husky/malamute there 3 weeks ago. We got a steroid pack and everything seems to be working fine. It really has worked as far as the itching we are almost completely itch free. No more redness on his belly, and he is not biting his behind off anymore! Thank you!!

I went here for my pets while going to SDSU. This is a more affordable vet clinic than the previous one my dogs went to in my home state. There I would pay $165 minimum for a simple 6-month checkup, I think I paid $75 at most at Sutton's one time. I also didn't feel like I was going go completely broke when purchasing medicine when my dog got sick. Both Dr. Sutton and the vet tech were very kind to my dogs while I was up there for the 5 years in Brookings.

I brought my dog here while I lived in Brookings, SD. It was really great. They made it easy to come in and get my dog what she needed. They were always really friendly to both me and my dog. This isn't the kind of place with a lot of frills, which I appreciated and it kept the costs reasonable.

We had our two dogs stay at the kennel for the day. Price was responsible but I wasn't too impressed with the facility and care. The kennel was very loud from other dogs and it didn't seem like they gave the dogs water because they were really thirty afterwards.

I brought my dog into Dr. Suttons office because my poor baby was limping after a visit to the dog park. Dr. Sutton was personal, respectable, and really treated my pup like royalty. He told us my baby had a damaged ligament in his knee, and didn't pressure us for expensive testing or unnecessary surgery. (No surgery at this moment, I should say.) Let's hope it stays that way. 😞 He explained how long everything would take to heal. What we could do to help him along, and was given anti-inflammatory/pain killers to bring home. I was surprised at how friendly Dr. Sutton was, and how he actually took more than a few seconds to look my dog over. A lot of vets are moving in and out of the room so fast, you can't always get all your questions out. Not Dr. Sutton. I am extremely happy with my experience. Oh, and we use the kennels frequently for both our dogs! Nothing flashy, but they go on walks frequently with the dogs to let them go to the bathroom and my pups never seem to be neglected in any way. 💜

Don't think I will be taking my dog back. When I went to pick him up after a 2 night stay. he went potty when he came out of the kennel.. before he usual 1/2 mile run.. went potty.. and when he got home. I wonder when was the last time he was taken out to the bathroom.
