This Lowe's has people who actually know what they're talking about not everybody but a good majority... Or at least they will go find somebody who can help you with whatever issue you're having. Great store and I much prefer it over the Sioux Falls location

Smaller than most other Lowes I have been to, but still has a good selection. The app and locker pickup orders help decrease trips to the store.

Went into my local Lowe's to look for a new BBQ grill. They had a wide selection to look at from Webber, Pit Boss, Char-Broil, Blackstone, Master Forge, Z-Grills, and more. Sales person allowed us to look around and then asked if she could be of assistance. Very knowledgeable on every brand and style. I really liked the Blackstone selection the had and made my decision: a Blackstone 36", 4 burner, Flat Top Grill. Very competitive prices and I took advantage of free delivery and setup. Thanks Lowe's!

Be careful if Lowe’s advertises rebates because they will not honor them. I purchased a Lowe’s 5 Year Protection Plan when I bought my fridge because of an advertised rebate. The salesman said the fridge was eligible and gave me the form to fill out to get the rebate. Lowe’s denied the rebate TWICE saying that I didn’t purchase an eligible fridge or service plan.

We had two pick up orders and still needed stuff inside. I had a very nice lady with Nick Berghorst the store manager. They helped us for hours. Getting our pick up orders ready along with loading everything in our trailer.Living out of town, it was very nice getting help. We even got a card with them. Because we are definitely going to be a loyal customer.

My husband and I visited the store this evening, wanting to buy another ovenand potentially an ice chest (didnt see one in the store to look at again) we needed to order within the next 2 days. Planned to order it tonight, however, no staff were available in our area of the store; others were restocking (no problem) it gave us more time to browse other areas comparing products and prices. Lastly, we eventually Found paint colors needed for our interior and exterior, someone asked if we needed help (not needed at this time, we planned on leaving the store shortly) glad we didn't fall into our "impulse buying". We are getting better at spending time in a store like Lowe's touching feeling the products, doing our research online and then deciding to make a purchase. We were here twice before in the afternoon, good customer servce. Some days we might buy something or not: Love the free catalogs posted throughout the store, we always grab some to take home. Online shopping i prefer, yet, even better to go into the store and see it with your own eyes. Staff may stare, due to you "taking your time" in the aisle; as a "real" customer we take our precious time combing over items/displays, etc., while in the store (it's okay, people are people, it's late we get it; different rotation on evenings), but, I would rather spend my hard earned money on a decent/dependable/efficient item than buying something that will only last 1/2 year.We will be back again walking up and down the aisles, touching products, and collecting more paint colors, as needed!

Stopped in the store today in Brookings South Dakota to get a push mower I was helped by Karen and I think her manager Nick,there were very helpful and knowledgeable about the product. I will definitely be shopping there again and looking for their help. Thanks again for being so professional.

I work for a company that spends a lot of money at Lowe’s. Went in for roughly $5,000 in cabinets. Asked for help as I needed to get some down. Had a lady call over intercom. Nothing. Did it again. Nothing. So I went and found Nick sitting on his phone who clearly didn’t hear the message. This is just one of the many times I’ve wasted time in this store. I hope we get a Menards someday. For now I’m ordering my stuff through builders.

DO NOT GET YOUR FENCE FROM LOWES! Especially if you're a first time fence buyer. Go directly to a fencing company who might actually talk you through the process. I'm writing this review after spending several hours removing the dirt left behind by the installers because Lowes didn't put dirt removal in the contract. They also never mentioned that I'd need to hire out someone to mark property lines. They ordered the wrong sized gates and extra material that they initially wanted me to pay for to get picked up and returned - had to go into the store to talk to the manager in person. I had to draw up my own fence plan for my HOA in adobe illustrator. Poor communication all around and ended up spending a couple hundred bucks to get a shovel, wheelbarrow, rake, temporary fencing, and zip ties and a weekend worth of hours fixing their mistakes.Update: Two weeks later I got a call saying they JUST ordered the replacement gates. Why would it take two extra weeks to place an order? This is an absolute joke.

Went in with a long list of items needed. Seemed like there was an employee in every aisle asking us if we needed help. They helped us get every single thing we wanted. Super helpful as we were from out of town and not familiar with the store. Very knowledgeable and incredibly friendly. We will be back! Got my eyes on inexpensive Hydrangeas and tomato plants we saw today.

Ordered 9 windows on 2 separate orders.Big picture window with 2 crankouts came 1 month late. Was to be delivered . After loading on truck and settingbup delivery the independant delivery people decided it was too heavy to deliver so they unloaded it. I had help arranged to off load and install that day.So after lowes inability to get it delivered i had to rent a Uhaul truck and bring it home myself. Remember that they delivered the other windows that were on the truck when they took off the big window.The window was missing one of the crank out handles and had a hole in the screen.So after 3 months the window was not in pretty packaging and had damage from being pushed arround in the lowes warehouse.Its taken two more months to get replacement parts. Pella factory is sending me the parts directly as lowes has done nothing. Not even let me talk to the factory rep.The Pella factory said lowes always pushes back against helping out even though they are required by the factory to do so.Not sure why i gave them 2 stars except the order was correct..Not a fan

There slogan fits this store! I have never visited such a nice store! Experienced Staff is always helpful, supportive of "DIY", and finding the right person to help with your project if needed. I have visited every dept, being a handy female, and have never left without what I came in for (usually more). Honor veterans discounts and PET FRIENDLY! Thank you Brookings Lowes!

Great customer service by Maddie and Richard! It was very cold out the night we came to pick up our large lumber order and they never skipped a beat when we had issues getting loaded. They patiently waited while we took the sides off our trailer. Richard skillfully loaded the lumber while Maddie aided with a second forklift. We shop at Lowes often because we really appreciate the military discount but awesome customer service like this will definitely keep us coming back. Thank you!

Helpful service from the moment we walked in the open cashier was asking if he could help and directed us to the correct aisle and when we went back to checkout he even asked if he had told us right. CSR in the glass cutting area was also very helpful and courteous. Employees will actively try to help.

I have been here twice this week in order to grab special deals not available anywhere else (because they were out of stock at all the other Lowe's stores). The first time I just drove up and grabbed a red Craftsman middle tool chest, but the second time they only had 2 of the 22 foot Little Giant ladders I wanted so I joined online and purchased one before I headed up in my car (after making sure it would fit in my car). But when I purchased the unit online I didn't get my usual military discount, so the helpful girl made sure I got it before I left the store. This is the kind of service that I expect and keeps me coming back to Lowe's.

Love shopping here! Every worker you see is always ready to help. I was asked several times by multiple workers if I needed help (love their customer service) they all had a smile. Store was easy to navigate in!

Customer service was horrible. They didn't know where any of the items were in the store and some of the associates flat out refused to help. The item number on their mobile app didn't match their hand held search tool. Also, beware of their 40 volt lawn or cordless tools. None of these come with a battery and the battery will run between 80 to 150 bucks on top of the tool. Even purchasing the battery will do no good as they don't even have chargers for any of them anywhere in stock.

An employee who works in the plumbing department was very helpful and spent a long time assisting us. We had some unusual requirements for a faucet that would work with our countertop dishwasher. We are happy with the one we ended up with.

As a retail store it's great, I've have good customer service and experiences. Installed sales on the other hand was a complete nightmare. Getting someone to return a call was next to impossible and I've given up with a project left incomplete and no real resolution. Save the heartache and go straight to a contractor for any work that needs to be done!

I've had a bad experience at Lowe's before, it's not what any of the employees did or the company itself. I don't even think it matters too much because it happened several years ago but, on a rainy day kind of like today but the wind was blowing harder my grandma and I had to go to Lowe's and when we were getting out of the car the wind took my car door and dinged the car next to us. The guy in the car was obviously upset he was in a white car and we were in a black car. He yelled at me I was about 14 at the time and he yelled at me calling me names and all that sort of stuff so going to Lowe's now makes me really anxious and nervous because of what happened that day.
